** Systlin and her companions are all warriors that far outclass those that they encounter on their involuntary travels, thanks to their longer lifespans keeping them in prime fighting shape and access to "the best true-healer north of Sielauk" to ensure that their vigorous training does not damage their bodies.
** Systlin herself. Long years of training have left her the finest warrior in her homeland of Ellinon, of which she is ruler of the Northern Realms. By all accounts, she began to learn to rule around the same time she learned to walk and talk, and became not only a sharp Queen, but a charismatic leader and shrewd tactician. Not only that, but she is the only known Breaker to have mastered their powers, avoiding going on a deadly rampage through willpower alone.
** Foicatch is no slouch either. Son of a carpenter who left the smithy he was apprenticed to for the town guard, working his way up until he was accepted into the Bloodguard, guards of the royal family and widely known to be the finest warriors in the land. Even before [[spoiler:The Lady elevates him to the role of a minor god]] he is one of the most powerful water witches alive. A talent he can use for both practical purposes such as sailing, or more deadly, such as pulling the blood out of an opponent's body. He is also noted to be a remarkably good blacksmith, though he never cared to progress beyond journeyman status.
** Strange though it may seem upon first glance, [[FriendToAllLivingThings Sura]] is often called the most dangerous one of the group. Her ability to speak with and understand animals gives her a massive advantage in any situation that requires a spy, and it is noted several times that humans are animals too. Though she cannot charm people directly, she has an uncanny insight into their thoughts and motivations that can put her in control of any situation she cares to be. She is also an expert horsewoman, having grown up in a nomadic tribe that put great value on such things. Her skill with a spear outclasses The Red Viper of Dorne.
* AdoptedIntoRoyalty: Arden joins the royal family of the Northern Lands when Foicatch and Systlin adopt him. Though we are yet to see any formal process or agreement between the characters, they refer to him as their son.
* AngelUnaware: Used as a test of character by [[spoiler:Odin.]] The protagonists pass, but we meet someone that didn't.
* BodyGuardCrush: Notably a common thing for the women of the Stellas line. Systlin may have been the first to marry one of her Bloodguard, but there are plenty of Queens throughout history who never married but gave birth to heirs that everyone pretends were fathered by a secret noble lover instead of the very attentive bodyguard at her side.
* BodyguardingABadass: Systlin doesn't really need Foicatch to protect her. But oaths are oaths, and he'd be bored otherwise.
** Later, Dina falls for Sys as well. [[Polyamory Foicatch doesn't mind.]]
* CrossoverCosmology: As the conquest of Gor develops, [[spoiler:the Norse Pantheon, Odin particularly]] start to take an interest in events. Additionally, The Force and Chaos exist even if no one outside their respective home settings.
* FriendToAllChildren: Foicatch has a habit of going mushy over children. According to his wife, they'd have a dozen if he had his way, but she never got that glow her mother promised.
** He brings home Arden during the campaign on Gor, just about adopting him on sight.
** Foicatch can't hide his happiness when introduced to The Sand Snakes, and is noted to be friendly towards the youngest of their number. The news that Tywin Lannister didn't even spare the children and babies at Castamere just about drives him over the edge into pure rage.
** When Systlin is revealed to be pregnant with twins in Hand Upon The Strings of Fate, he can't keep himself from cooing over the scans.
* GodsHandsAreTied: The Lady would fix the problems of these worlds herself, but as a Goddess of Life she cannot kill. Her [[StopWorshippingMe reluctant sister]] on the other hand...
* GoodTamingEvilTaming: The Panther Warriors are very dismissive of the way the men of Gor treat their tarns (Giant rideable hawks), and use treats to train them instead of trying to beat them into submission. Notably, their birds try to eat their riders far less frequently because of it.
* HappilyAdopted: Arden, a teenager rescued from slavery in a salt mine on Gor, is adopted near instantly by Foicatch and Systlin.
* HeirClubForMen: Causes much confusion when the trio arrives on Westeros, as Ellinon's system is much more egalitarian.
* HotConsort: Foicatch plays this role, reminding anyone that believes that being the King means that he's the one in charge that as King Consort his job is to "look pretty, keep her bed warm, chuck anyone who tries to kill her headfirst out a window, and father heirs as required."
* IncrediblyInconvenientDeity: The Lady seems to take pleasure in causing trouble for Systlin, dropping her on worlds filled with slavers, in the middle of a blizzard, or while she is pregnant without so much as a warning.
* ModestRoyalty: While Systlin is a Queen, spending much of her life on the battlefield has given her practical tastes. Mirrored by the crown her family wears, made not of gold but of iron with a single star ruby in the center.
** Sura, being of a nomadic people, also favours practical clothes that she can ride a horse in.
* OhMyGods: The most common curses on Ellinon seem to be "Fucking Pits" and "Lady's Tits".
* OutsideContextProblem: The premise of the whole series. No one was expecting a woman that can break things with her mind to show up.
* RageAgainstTheHeavens: Every story opens with this. Systlin doesn't appreciate being torn from her life to do the grueling work of fixing yet another planet. The Lady is more amused than anything.
* RoyalInbreeding: Averted. The Stellas family finds that having a child with a commoner every few generations increases the genetic diversity of the whole noble class. Systlin spends time dry heaving after reading about the Targaryens.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: Systlin is first dropped into another world when going out to hunt wraithen. Dangerous pests in her homeland. She also balances tax rolls for fun, much to Petyr Baelish's horror.

* SlaveLiberation: The premise of the first story is a Type 3 example of this. It is noted that while Systlin could easily conquer the planet on her own, her victory will be easily overturned in the long run if those enslaved don't take their freedom for themselves.
* SlaveryIsASpecialKindOfEvil: There are three Great Laws once Systlin has passed through a land, all of which carry the death penalty if broken. Slavery is one of them.
* StopWorshippingMe: Systlin takes a skeptical view of her divinity at the best of times. Thoros The Red Priest's reaction to her powers over flame are particularly unnerving to her.
