Unlike normal Seraphim Steel, which can be healed from as long as the affected area is purified, Bane-Steal shorts out the soul itself, depriving it of the energy demons use for regeneration. Lose a finger, your hand will crumble. Lose a limb, it's not coming back. Even get ''cut'' near something vital, and it's a OneHitKill. It's basically WoundThatWillNotHeal incarnate. And it's speculated there's something ''even stronger'' than it waiting to be found.
