* RealityEnsues: Many high-ranking officers and soldiers of the Imperial Army and citizens of Germania are ''absolutely furious'' at the Supreme High Command's handling of the Brest incident; in particular, allowing their enemies from the Great War to put Tanya – who is essentially TheFace of the Empire's war efforts and propaganda – on trial, something made even more egregious by the fact that the incident occurred in the first place due to Tanya actually discovering and putting a stop to the Francois pulling a fast one on the Empire. The Kaiser allowing Tanya to essentially be thrown to wolves has led to a lot of backlash and bad publicity against his reign, with his decision even causing a growing schism between the military and the civilian high command.

* BodyDouble: [[spoiler:An undercover Mary Sioux]] unintentionally serves as this for Tanya, leading the girl into some uncomfortable introspection on how she's NotSoDifferent from Tanya.

* HowardHughesHomage: John Felix Hughes, the majority shareholder of Hughes Tool company along with presumably several others. An eccentric business magnate with background in technology, but wide and often short-lived interests? Check and check.

** The first one is towards the prosecutor, who has been slandering her name and character with half-truths and blatant hypocrisy over the course of five days in the trial. By the time he begins questioning her, Tanya has very much [[RageBreakingPoint reached the limits of her patience.]] Its '''very''' telling the only thing the former has to say is [[NotHelpingYourCase to strike the response from the record.]]

** When accused of killing the Dacian army without taking any prisoners, Tanya demanded that the witness general be brought back to the stand and be asked [[ArmorPiercingQuestion during the entire 'battle', did any of his HQ guard actually call out to surrender?]] After the following two sentences, the witness had to be quickly removed because he looked like he was the verge of either [[TearsOfRemorse crying]] or [[WouldHurtAChild attacking Tanya]].

** While Tanya has no issues when it comes to working with criminals, she is disgusted that the mob boss Oliver's gang has been working with, [=McClane=], has been secretly ripping them off from all of the stolen goods they sold to his fixer by giving them less money than it's actually worth, ensuring the gang has little to no money to save for themselves. This, along with [=McClane=]'s dirty intentions to make both Tanya and Jenny join his brothel, Tanya and the gang decides to defect and work with his rival Murdoch, a much fairer mob boss.

* KavorkaMan: "Boris", one of Tanya's fake identity is this. An unashamedly lecherous five foot tall overweight middle-aged man. Tanya is flabbergasted when she finds some women actually reciprocate Boris' incessant flirting.

* NoPlansNoPrototypeNoBackup: Germania only had one quad-core orb, which Tanya destroyed, and which was so unstable that the fact that it hadn't exploded sooner was literally a miracle. This has not prevented them from commissioning Shugel to reproduce his magnum opus.

* OneInAMillionChance: Elya managed to discover Tanya's whereabout independently of Mary and the Interpol...at the exact same time as them. When she said as much Tanya doesn't even humor the possibility and simply assumes Elya doesn't want to be seen as belligerent as Mary.

* PoorCommunicationKills: A staple of ''Saga of Tanya the Evil'' stories. The first (but not the last by a long shot) being that nobody thought to tell Tanya that the sentence the KangarooCourt was railroading her towards was a dishonorable discharge and exile, not execution or life in an insane asylum.
* ProtectionRacket: Tanya has set up more than one "Security Company" that very strictly does ''not'' act this way. Her operatives provide the best security that money can buy, and are (mostly) completely legitimate. This doesn't stop Tanya from accidentally giving a ShameIfSomethingHappened speech to [[spoiler:the Mayor of Jersey City]]. Later Murdoch also reorganizes his gang in the same vein.

* ReplacementMooks: The 207th is formed as Germania's new premier aerial mage group allowed to wield dual-core orbs after they sidelined the 203rd, feeling that they were more loyal to Tanya than to the Kaiser. Unfortunately, they have no idea how Tanya's training went (only the Veteran 203rd members knowing how to translate Tanya's notes into an actual training program), had to water it down after getting more than enough men killed and came out with inferior troops as a result. [[spoiler:It shows when during their secret snatch mission, where they outright lose to Stillwater Security (who, despite being armed with single-core orbs, were put through Tanya's training) and cause just two casualties on the Colombian mages.]]

** Alluded by Elya, who accuses a part of the American government is secretly collaborating with Tanya.
** Later it's revealed that Interpol and the Allied Kingdoms believe Tanya is working as agent provocateur for an anti-Kaiser faction within the Empire.

* WeaponOfMassDestruction: After what the Type-95 does to Brest, quad-core orbs are classified as the world's first WMD and research on them is banned by international treaty. Virtually every signatory nation then starts a top secret effort to build them anyway.

* TheCaligula: Kaiser Wilhelm is presented as an incompetent, eccentric ruler whose ear is constantly being bent by his cousin with fearmongering. * CompanyTown: United Fruit wanted to set one up in Colombia, Kaiser Wilhelm has set one up in the Congo. Tanya has been disrupting those efforts whenever she crosses their path.

** The 203rd may have done brutal things during the Great War, but at least it had a purpose, which was to win the war as quickly as possible for the Empire. However, they are disgusted with their fellow Germanians in the Congo who treat the local Africans like slaves, abused them and give them little to no pay for all their hard work. When a corrupt Mine Owner attempted to punish a young girl for daring to fight back against one of his goons when he tried to rape her, the 203rd are all too happy to kill him and his goons when Tanya orders them dead.
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: The Emperor/Kaiser (Wilhelm) and The Crown Prince (Friedrich Wilhelm) were only ever referred to with their titles by other characters.
