* FridgeHorror: It's all but stated that aliens landing on Earth is a lot more common than what the general public would think, and that the government considers them even more dangerous than monsters. The narrative heavily implies that any and all aliens that land on Earth are taken by the government for potentially lethal experimentation. Megamind, Minion, and the then-unnamed Metro Man are spared this fate, as none of the government officials [[EveryoneHasStandards want to hurt a baby]]. Still, it's hard not to wonder how many (potentially evil, potentially benevolent) aliens have been killed by the government.

* AllLovingHero: Roxanne is easily the most accepting human in the fic, being among the first people to see the monsters as more than...well, monsters, and is nothing but polite and friendly to them, to the point that they consider her their first true human friend [[spoiler: and fully support her when she starts dating Megamind]].

B.O.B. and his relationship with the [[ItMakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext Jell-O]] also technically counts (they seem happy together, at least).
