Posing as a newly engaged couple, they're wary partners in a mission that could prove fatal if they can't learn to trust each other.

* Comments: This is AU! right from the get go, but it's incredibly well done. There are moments when the characters appear to be OOC of tv canon, however it works extremely well in the story. The writer is an university English professor, so this is clearly some quality work. The updates are VERY slow, and have been stalled for awhile however the author is still active in the comments and very much intends to finish the fic this summer.

* Comments: Seriously this author is probably my favourite of all time, and this series of fics takes the crown. Not only does it use Skyeward, but it takes into account all the other members of team bus (+Natasha Romanoff!). It's a truly compelling slow burn story that really works and is rarely ooc.
