As far back as the ending of ''The Living Force'', we see the dark and mysterious being Faybol appear to Callista in what looks like the setup of the BigBad of the next series. ** Kurol are extensions of Faybol's being and are so powerful that it takes everything Anakin and Tahiri have (these are the same two who [[spoiler: defeated Onimi and singlehandedly won the Yuuzhan Vong War in the previous series]]) just to kill one. Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker, in a weakened state on a planet where the Force is tainted, destroyed ''three'' with one hand.
** This same Luke had earlier plunged his lightsaber into Darth Malig's gut, a killing blow in pretty much any Star Wars fight. Then Malig uses uber dark side energies to heal the mortal wound.
** Anakin rebuffs a flirtatious girl at a Coruscant cantina by casually jumping off a balcony into the abyss below to pursue a Raithian prison vessel.
* CrowningMomentOfFunny
** Moments between Han Solo and See-Threepio are filled with these--even more so if Artoo-Detoo is added to the mix.
** The Barabel Jedi Saba and Tesar Sebatyne lighten up even the most somber Jedi Council meetings with their off-color humor and trademark "sissing."

** Jagged Fel might qualify for this in the fourth story with his Omega Red project in the aftermath of [[spoiler: his father's death at the end of ''The Lands of the Dead'']]. [[{{YourMileageMayVary}} Opinion is mixed]] among readers as to whether this is an intriguing path of CharacterDevelopment after the tragedy he suffered in the previous story, while others think he's becoming [[{{MoralEventHorizon}} grossly out of character]].
