[[spoiler:The same chapter introduces Nymph, the Dragonfly Miraculous holder who similarly hates Rabbit (at least until she tells her a HalfTruth about why she left Los Angeles) and acts dismissively to the other heroes, especially Firefly. [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold To her credit]], she still acts somewhat heroically during the Gravity Screw attack and seems to hate Chloe as much as everyone else, telling her that Lalita is probably only friends with her out of professional courtesy. * BigBadDuumvirate: [[spoiler:Chapter 17 reveals Omega and Hawk Moth ''are'' working together, to the point of knowing each other's identities, and have been for some time: it's revealed that Hawk Moth akumatised Dr. Lacasse on Omega's request after being promised the use of the beacon, but because Rabbit prevented him from getting it, he wants to end the deal.]] As such, this may now qualify as EvilVsEvil.
* BigBadEnsemble: Hawk Moth and Omega. It remains to be seen how they'll interact with each other, but it seems they're not working together ''yet'': [[spoiler:In chapter 9, Hawk Moth sends an akuma after a device called the Beacon, which he could use to lure the other kwami to him once he has enough DNA from his own. * DirtyCop: Rabbit and Perro Negro tried to involve the LAPD in their search for Trumpeter Swan, but they eventually found out that the Chief had been in Omega's pocket the whole time, to the point of [[spoiler:leaking to Trumpeter Swan that Rabbit would be leaving Los Angeles]]. Jack doesn't hold it against him, as he confessed and revealed that Omega had threatened his family, [[spoiler:but it's the reason why Oliver Bergeron refuses to involve the Paris authorities in finding the Beacon.]]

** In a curious case, this trope only applies to Jack ''after'' she came to Paris. She had fans and a large number of supporters back in Los Angeles, but very little of that seems to have made its way to Paris (which seems especially odd in the Information Age).

** In Chapter 11, Marinette, Adrien and Jack get arrested for not supporting Phoenix.

* AccidentalMisnaming: Rabbit routinely calls Chat Noir "Cat Noir", apparently unable to pronounce ''Chat'' properly at first. He corrects her the first time, but seems to accept it later. [[spoiler:Becomes a plot point when Perro Negro does the same thing but the Chameleon holder impersonating him doesn't, which is what convinces Chat Noir that "Perro" is an imposter]]

* DoesNotLikeMen: Anita Blaylock, somewhat justified by the fact that she was a brilliant scientist whose male coworkers frequently took credit for her research. The narration notes that she made exceptions for her husband, her son-in-law (Jack's father) and an unidentified uncle of Jack (it's not clear whether he's Anita's son or another son-in-law), and "even those three exceptions seemed to be pushing it."

* GadgetWatches: The Rabbit Miraculous, created from a wristwatch that belonged to Jack's grandmother Anita Blaylock, which in turn had been a present from her daughter.

After she comes to suspect that she's working with Hawkmoth, she starts spinning all the evidence that she can in that direction (such as the footage she got of Rabbit trying to calm down Imagineur), while dismissing everything else (the eyewitness accounts of her helping civilians during the Road Rage attack, including Nino), and also apparently makes no effort to dig into her background in Los Angeles. She comes around after Rabbit helps Ladybug and Chat Noir save her from Cottontail.

* ShaggyDogStory: [[spoiler:Played with regarding the Beacon arc. After Rabbit recovers the Beacon, she convinces Jade and Dr. Lacasse to go against Mr Bergeron's order to destroy it, so that she can use it to find the other kwamis without alerting Hawkmoth. However, her attempt only proved that no kwami bonded to a Miraculous would be able to simply abandon it or their holder, suggesting that nothing much would have changed if Omega or Hawk Moth had activated it instead. On the other hand, this result does confirm to her that all of the remaining kwamis actually ''have'' holders, and the Mantis, Firefly and Dragonfly holders have since arrived in Paris. And then it's revealed that this is exactly what Mr. Bergeron/Omega wanted her to do.]]

Admittedly, she has caused a lot of damage thanks to her power swap with Perro Negro, but given that she and her partner helped found "Positivity Clubs," and that Rabbit has actual fans who take offense to Alya's videos, it's somewhat odd that she's remained a mystery to Paris.

Jack doesn't hold it against him, suspecting that Omega had threatened his family, [[spoiler:but it's the reason why Oliver Bergeron refuses to involve the Paris authorities in finding the Beacon.]]

* DramaPreservingHandicap: Jack's power swap is explicitly because she unmasked to her partner, Diego. Had her powers remained the same during the transfer, she would have arrived in Paris with the same Akuma-purifying powers as Ladybug and the ability to fix her own damages. What's more, she could have told Ladybug and Chat Noir that it'd be okay for them to reveal who they are to each other, since there weren't any real downsides for her and Diego. Instead, thanks to the aforementioned power swap, Jack breaks nearly everything she touches and warns the other heroes not to unmask, preventing her from having it too easy and solving the love square in one chapter.

* DudeWheresMyRespect: Rabbit starts feeling this after a while when it becomes apparent that a lot of people would rather face an akuma than see her coming to the rescue. It should be noted that, aside from her Dogstruction-related screw-ups, she actually has a better track record than Ladybug, since she and Perro seem to have been fighting a lot longer, they never let an akuma get away the way Ladybug did with Stoneheart, and they managed to track down and defeat their nemesis Trumpeter Swan (if not quite in the way they wanted to) while Hawk Moth remains hidden. But there's no indication the Paris media are aware of this.

* HeroOfAnotherStory: A variant in that Jack, the main protagonist, is a hero whose other story is on hiatus. Having defeated Trumpeter Swan before she left Los Angeles (albeit without recovering the Swan Miraculous), she's free to help Ladybug and Chat Noir as much as she can while in Paris. [[spoiler:However, with the introduction of the Beacon in chapter 9, Chameleon's arrival in Chapter 10 and the subsequent confirmation that he is TheDragon to Omega, Jack's story is gradually taking center stage.]] Interestingly, Jack in her story basically ''won'' the first round, defeating Trumpeter Swan (who has the same powers as Moth) and confessing to her Miraculous partner before Ladybug and Chat did theirs, though Jack herself doesn't see it that way because they failed to recover the Swan Miraculous or get any closer to Omega. [[spoiler:By chapter 16, it can be argued that Ladybug and Chat Noir fit the trope better, with an akuma attack taking place offscreen while Rabbit's team attempt to get a lead on Omega.]]

* PowerCopying: Jack has acquired Perro Negro's Dogstruction power and [[DiscardAndDraw apparently lost Lucky Strike]].

* RapidFireNo: Rabbit's reaction when she sees that [[spoiler:the Pygmalion akuma has multiplied into a swarm, which are descending on Paris and transforming random citizens.]]
* RealityWarper: [[spoiler:Phoenix's power, creating a world where he is the hero and no one remembers Ladybug, Chat Noir or Rabbit, causing them to be mistaken for akumas. The only people immune to it are the heroes themselves, Chloé, and ''possibly'' some of their other fans - the latter is Jack's speculation based on Chloé, Adrien and Marinette's immunity and a vague e-mail she received from Colleen about something being "wrong" that morning.]]
* RealPersonFic: In chapter 16, Jack and a few classmates attend a soccer match between Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille, during which Edinson Cavani is akumatised into Striker, after getting a Yellow Card for excessive celebration and a Red Card for arguing with the referee about it.

* ShaggyDogStory: [[spoiler:Played with regarding the Beacon arc. After Rabbit recovers the Beacon, she convinces Jade and Dr. Lacasse to go against Mr Bergeron's order to destroy it, so that she can use it to find the other kwamis without alerting Hawkmoth. * HatesMySecretIdentity: It goes back and forth with Jack/Rabbit. Rabbit is initially mistaken for an akuma and then for a villain in her own right after causing a lot of damage to a Paris neighbourhood, but Jack, while initially an outcast (an American transfer student with a limited grasp of French), gains some popularity from her classmates after helping save Adrien from an akuma out of costume. On the other hand, while Ladybug knows that Rabbit is a good person, Marinette spends several chapters hating Jack out of misguided jealousy, believing she's interested in Adrien. When Marinette finds out Jack has a boyfriend back in the US, she apologises for her behaviour and she and Alya (who has since become a Rabbit supporter) make friends with her - just in time for Rabbit to screw up again and lose a lot of Ladybug's trust in her. [[spoiler:However, they're on good terms by the end of Chapter 9.]]

** [[spoiler:During the Phoenix attack, Chloé attempts to pass herself off as Rabbit by putting her hair in a fishbone braid in order to get close enough to the possessed medal. Phoenix points out that even if she's telling the truth her miraculous is worthless to Hawk Moth.]]
** [[spoiler:In chapter 13, Chameleon poses as the Mantis holder, a black girl with a southern accent, to get close to Rabbit. As it happens, the actual Praying Mantis, introduced in Chapter 14, is a Korean adult male with no such accent. The remaining Recree users do not resemble this girl either, so where her likeness came from is unknown.]]

** [[spoiler:In chapter 13, Rabbit is initially thrilled to meet the Mantis miraculous holder but realises quite quickly that there's no way she could have flown to Paris so soon after she activated the Beacon.]]

** Between Ladybug and Rabbit, mostly one-sided, due to Ladybug not trusting Rabbit to use her powers properly (with good reason). [[spoiler:They seem to be on good terms by the end of Chapter 9 though.]]

* TookALevelInKindness: [[spoiler:Much like "[[Recap/MiraculousLadybugS02E02DespairBear Despair Bear]]", chapter 11 has Chloé at her most heroic, taking it upon herself to help Ladybug get the akumatized item, and apologising to Phoenix for trying to have Bastille Day cancelled. And, also like "Despair Bear", it doesn't last to the end of the chapter, but does show at least ''some'' progress.]]

* UngratefulBastard: A few of the people Rabbit has saved so far qualify, but in their defense, she did cause a lot of injuries on her first day in Paris, including Alix's father. [[spoiler:In chapter ten, she rescues Alix from one of Pygmalion's statues, cutting through the straps of her backpack with her chakram in the process. Alix's immediate reaction is to complain about the damage to her backpack, but then winces and thanks Rabbit, in English]].

** Played straight again in [[spoiler:Chapter 13, which goes to great lengths not to reveal that Chameleon is disguised as Ladybug, and that the other two not only know it but were ''counting'' on it, until the very end of the fight.]] All we get is Rabbit saying, "I have an idea… But it’s dangerous and stupid and we have to split up."

** In Chapter 16, [[spoiler:Mantis again calls out Jack for not thinking enough about the consequences after TheInfiltration plan goes awry.]]

* BattleCouple: Jack/Rabbit and Diego/Perro Negro. In contrast to the series' Love Square, they both fell for the other's superhero forms before they unmasked for each other, and were surprised but not disappointed by their partner's civilian form.

* ImNotAHeroImA: [[spoiler:Praying Mantis sees himself as "a holder, nothing more." [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre Rabbit tries to convinces him otherwise]], pointing out that him keeping Roadd so that no one will abuse his power is heroic in itself.]]

* RuleOfSeven: As with the main seven canon Miraculouses, Omega Labs managed to create seven Kwamis, all of which have since bonded with Miraculous: Mimmi the Rabbit (equivalent to Ladybug, both representing good luck), Wrekk the Dog (Black Cat), Ceeree the Swan (Butterfly), Hokss the Chameleon (Fox), Roadd the Mantis (Turtle), and the as-yet-unnamed Dragonfly (Peacock) and Firefly (Bee).

Chat Noir accepts her explanation quickly enough, as does Ladybug when Chat tells her, but Rabbit is first mistaken for an akuma by the media and then for a supervillain in her own right. She does earn a few more defenders when she helps out civilians during the Road Rage attack, including Nino, but the media continue to question whether she's a hero or a menace. Alya even makes a Ladyblog video painting "Jack Hammer" as an agent of Hawk Moth, which persuades most of her class, some of whom have family members that were affected by the first "rampage". Alya eventually turns around on her after she helps save her from Cottontail and makes her a second video with the other heroes, but Rabbit still hasn't quite escaped her "Jack Hammer" reputation. And while she can't exactly blame them for it, it does get frustrating when it seems like they'd rather see an akuma than her coming to help.

Adrien helps turn things around for her, admitting that he should have approached her himself earlier, and by the end of Chapter 7 most of the class are much friendlier to her, aside from Chloé and Sabrina.
