** Fridge Brilliance: Edd has been known to flip out at Ed or Eddy when they make grammatical errors, so his reaction may have been due to Ed using "malice" as a verb when it's really an adjective.

* DudeMagnet: Nazz is this full-stop. Rolf and Jimmy are the only male characters who don't have a crush on Nazz.

* DreadfulMusician: In "Pain in the Ed", Ed is forced to take violin lessons, and is so bad at it that it causes the bark to peel off trees, and Kevin's bike to crumple up. This is curious, since Ed is later shown to be superb at playing the flute (WildMassGuessng maybe he's simply better at playing some instruments than others).

* GrossoutShow and GrossUpCloseUp: Though gross-out humor isn't exactly the show's bread & butter, there are several throughout the series. What did you expect from Danny Antonucci?

** Eddy gets one in "An Ed is Born" when Kevin loops Eddy's underwear elastic to the back of his bike and speeds off. Eddy's voice [[InstantSoprano quickly raises in pitch while he tries to hang on and play it cool for the camera.

* DarkerAndEdgier: TheMovie, due to the kids' obsession with hunting the Eds down and actually wanting to kill them. Plus, TheReveal that .

Added DiffLines:

* AchievementsInIgnorance: Ed's lack of intelligence can allow him to do the physically impossible, such as in Will Work For Ed when he puts his work boots on facing backwards, and in The Call Him Mr. Ed when he builds a tower of miscellaneous junk all the way up to the moon.

Added DiffLines:

* DumbMuscle: With the possible exception of Rolf, physical strength seems to be inversely proportional to intelligence. Edd and Jimmy are outwardly the smartest and also the weakest. Eddy, Johnny, Nazz, Sarah, and Kevin are more middle-of-the-road both intellectually and physically. The Kankers aren't all that bright and can destroy the whole neighborhood in one hissy fit. Ed, the least intelligent member of the cast, can lift a whole house before he's out of diapers.

** It's heavily hinted that the Eds in general have abusive parents. Eddy's parents don't seem to care that Double D probably has the least abusive because while his parents are seldom around, they communicate with him through sticky notes (some of which have personal advice written on them) and give him warm milk and massages before he goes to bed, which hint that when they ARE around, they try to be good parents.
