** It's heavily hinted that the Eds in general have abusive parents. Eddy's parents don't seem to care that Double D probably has the least abusive because while his parents are seldom around, they communicate with him through sticky notes (some of which have personal advice written on them) and give him warm milk and massages before he goes to bed, which hint that when they ARE around, they try to be good parents.

* ArtisticLicenseEconomics: Despite the jawbreakers being as big as the characters' heads, they still only cost a quarter.

Added DiffLines:

** The title card is done differently in Season 1. The tune is completely different and for the first few episodes, the text is in a straight line as opposed to artsy.

* AbsenteeActor: The kids are not seen or mentioned in Nagged to Ed.

** Kevin doesn't appear in "Momma's Little Ed". Edd even lampshades this after Eddy tried to blame the episode's conflict on him, despite not appearing in it.

** In general, the only episodes that ended with the Eds not getting beaten up, getting their scam ruined, or otherwise humiliated are "A Glass of Warm Ed", "Run For Your Ed", "The Day the Ed Stood Still", "A Fistful of Ed", "Dear Ed", "The Good Ol Ed", "Cleanliness is Next to Edliness", "May I Have This Ed?", the Valentine's Day special, and .

* AnimationBump: This was the very last animated series to be made with painted cels. After season 4, the show switched to digital ink and paint, resulting in a brighter color scheme and tighter linework.

Added DiffLines:

** Ed and Double D were a lot meaner and intruding on par with Eddy's personality in the older episodes (although Double D himself was always a neat freak). For instance, in "Ed Touchables" and "Pop Goes the Ed", both Ed and Double D scared Jonny, while in later episodes, they're rather friendly.

Added DiffLines:

* EasilyImpressed: Between all the kids in the culd-de-sac, Ed, Rolf, and Jonny are definitely the easiest to enrapture. In the cases of Rolf and Jonny, this makes them particularly easy to rope into a scam.
