Right before [[spoiler: transforming into the [[PersonofMassDestruction Armored Titan]]]], Mikasa attempted to assassinate [[spoiler: him along with Berholdt]], and both Mikasa and [[spoiler: Reiner]] exchanged glares when this occured. He also reacted like this [[spoiler: against Levi]], who ''[[TheAce of all people]]'' was disturbed.
** Yelena gives an absolutely [[https://fictionhorizon.com/why-did-yelena-make-that-face-scare-armin/ bizarre]] one to Armin that makes Jean and Connie take a step back, and Mikasa almost draws her sword.

* ''Manga/TheDangersInMyHeart'': Anna is typically one of the sweetest girls you could meet. Which makes it all the more surprising that she's capable of making ''really'' unsettling ones towards people. Primarily when [[GreenEyedMonster other girls (even her friends) who get too close or too friendly with Kyōtarō.]]

* In ''LightNovel/TheCircumstancesLeadingToWaltrautesMarriage'', the Valkyrie Waltraute has a glare that frightens anybody who sees it, even ''Odin''. When she meets her future husband Jack Elvan, the first thing that impresses her is that he is completely unaffected by it.

* In Episode 5 of ''LightNovel/TheDevilIsAPartTimer'', Satan is so pissed off at [[SeriousBusiness the possibility of being late for work]] that his glare alone smashes Olba into the side of a building and reduces Lucifer to a gibbering mess.

* In ''LightNovel/{{Haganai}}'', Kodaka has the FaceOfAThug, so sometimes he inadvertently does this to people, such as when he first arrives to class late and exhausted, and in Episode 2, when he asks 2 classmates who are playing a game he's playing if they'd be willing to trade items with him. He does occasionally utilize this trope intentionally too, such as in Episode 3 when Sena is getting hit on by 3 guys and is clearly uncomfortable around them.

* ''LightNovel/HaruhiSuzumiya'': ''The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya'': Kyon is in fact a DeadpanSnarker, receiving the Death Glare by Haruhi. However, Haruhi's intention was actually to give him a ''CareBearStare''.

* ''LightNovel/TheRisingOfTheShieldHero'': Considering everything he went through since his third day, Naofumi was handing these out in spades, especially in the manga. But the crowning one ironically comes in the LighterAndSofter anime when [[spoiler:King Aultcray, the one whose partly responsible for everything that went wrong for him had thrown a heavily implied death threat towards Raphtalia and Firo, simply because the former was utterly done with dealing with the unjustified crap constantly being handed to him. Having already been pushed past his breaking point, Naofumi gives the mother of all death glares to the now scared-shitless king, along with swearing to painfully '''end''' him if he so much as touches his companions.]]

* ''{{LightNovel/Toradora}}'': Ryuuji, due to having the FaceOfAThug, tends to deliver these ''by accident.'' At one point he looked at Taiga while trying on some makeup for the role of a villain in a play and frightened her so badly she ''hit him.'' It gets even worse on the few occasions that Ryuuji is actually ''trying'' to look scary. The school festival race stands out in this regard.

** PlayedForLaughs with Gopher in the manga, who frequently attempts these, but all he can pull off is [[http://animekritik.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/gopher.jpg a hilarious pouty inverted V-face]] that nobody can take seriously (at least until [[SuperOCD Death the Kid]] realizes that the V is very slightly asymmetrical.)

* ''Anime/MyHime'': Natsuki Kuga has a death glare so well known amongst the fandom that it's actually referred to as the Kuga Death Glare. Notable recipients include [[TheDragon Nagi]], kendo captain Takeda when he's MistakenForPervert, and [[EnjouKosai Nao]] when Natsuki is tricked into thinking Nao attacked resident nun Sister Yukariko.
