** As opposed to in the original, where criminals were ranked in the level of danger by how many planets they had destroyed (which was only an InformedAttribute in the series), here the criminals the B-Squad Rangers fight against are wanted for much more Pun down-to-Earth and realistic crimes. For emphasis, the very first of the criminals encountered is wanted for homicide of a child.
** In reference to Dekaranger, the Rangers are allowed to execute criminals should their morpher's Judgement rule 3 Xs (1 X means physical arrest, and 2Xs, which most criminals get, is the Containment Card), although a lot of emphasis is put upon this practise being a last resort against the most dangerous criminals who are BeyondRedemption (or those who have committed homicide in a Ranger's line-of-sight).

* ShoutOut: The SPD Ranger Directives are directly inspired by the Anti-Bioron Law from Series/KidouKeijiJiban, which were in turn inspired by the Prime Directives from Franchise/Robocop (although the Ranger Directives have more in common with the former than the latter, giving the Rangers greater freedom to act rather than restricting them).

Hot Scientist is no longer a trope

While B-Squad are on their second mission, a much more dangerous one involving a proton accelerator that the Troobians are trying to use to create a black hole to destroy Earth, Jack easily escapes his cell, but gets recaptured when he stops to help scientist Kat Manx and her long-suffering assistant Boom stop an out-of-control escaped criminal. However, the base's commander, Doggie Crueger, becomes impressed with Jack's willingness to help people and hands him a strange metal box, telling him to head to help B-Squad, who are getting their asses kicked by a full Troobian force. When Jack arrives, he winds up pulling a fifth Morpher out of the box and morphing into the B-Squad Red Ranger - something Sky is NOT happy with.

Despite Z's objections, Sky arrests Jack and takes him to HQ's brig.

The series focuses on the S.P.D. of Corinth (which is now the capital city of Earth) and specifically their B-Squad. As their name indicates, they're backup to the elite A-Squad. At first, B-Squad consists of the serious Sky, who wants nothing more than to be a Red Ranger just like his missing father, the unusual yet intelligent Bridge, the glamorous Syd and the rebellious Z. When A-Squad is forced to leave the planet on business and then mysteriously disappears without a trace, B-Squad are promoted to Ranger status and given morphers, as well as a first mission - track down a metahuman Robin Hood-like mass thief and burglar.

The twenty seventh instalment of the DarthWiki/PowerRangersRedverse written by Tropers/MadRedX12, a adaptation of the actual Series/PowerRangersSPD. Set centuries after the defeat of Venjix, Earth has finally evolved into a utopia for humans and aliens alike. However, even in a time of peace, evil still lurks. The evil Troobian Empire sets its sights on Earth, with its de facto leader Emperor Grumm having a personal judge against the planet. However, where there is yang there is yin, and a galaxywide police force known as Space Patrol Delta assembles together to stop them. From their Delta Bases stationed across the galaxy, S.P.D fights to ensure peace and defeat the Troobian Empire.
