* NipponIchi's new ''GurrenLagann'' StrategyRPG is a must-play for any fan of the series. The way they handle Spiral Energy by having it deplete or increase based on how well you're doing in the battle is innovative and true to the series, the art style is perfectly accurate, and the action commands during battles are great fun. While you can play through the exact events of the series (with some of the best parts from the movies - they even ''finally'' fixed the MissedMomentOfAwesome by giving Lord Genome a Tengen Toppa Lazengann!) if you take the main quest, the real fun is trying out all the "what-if" paths and seeing what happens. But the best part is how [[TheDevTeamThinksOfEverything they handled the Thymilph fight]]. Ordinarily, his lance will deal enough damage to kill Kamina if you're at the level you'd ordinarily be at by that point, but if you've done enough LevelGrinding and sidequests to build up Kamina's maximum HP, he'll actually shrug it off, and you get to keep him for the rest of the game! It's just as awesome as it sounds.

[[DevelopmentHell No wonder it took 15 years to make.]] First of all, the gameplay is a surprisingly intricate blend of first-person shooter, RPG, adventure game, text adventure, and believe it or not, [[CookingMama cooking games.]] ItMakesSenseInContext. Second, it really fleshes out Duke's character in this. He's still macho and wisecracking, but he also has many emotional moments regarding the kidnapping of his daughter(I don't wanna spoil too much, but it's [[TearJerker very effective]]). The choices that he'll(by which I mean, you) make in this journey will have their consequences and their benefits. The whole story is really about redemption and self-discovery(Yes, an effective story in a DukeNukem game. Go figure). Third, the setting of the game is amazingly crafted. There's so many things you can do in this game! Who you are character-wise will really affect the gameplay. You can be a jerk and ignore pleas for help or steal from others, but while this can benefit you, it can also have severe consequences. However, you can get a chance to redeem yourself if you want to. Most of the NPC dialogue reminded me of {{Earthbound}} in that it was witty, hilarious, and incredibly fun to listen to. There's also a lot of exploration and sidequests that you may or may not do. It's all about opportunity. Also, there's more SceneryPorn, TechnologyPorn, and GunPorn than {{Avatar}}, if you can believe it. And the soundtrack? [[CrowningMusicOfAwesome Genius.]] So to any gamers out there who's been jaded by the wait? It's worth it. Hell, even [[ZeroPunctuation Yahtzee]] likes it! I had always thought that they were going to make it ''too'' intentionally sucky and have it end up being a poorly-programmed troll game, but then I downloaded it anyway, and it turns out to be truly fun. It's a real treat to see the awesomely fun battle system from ''BarkleyShutUpAndJamGaiden'' reused, and its new implementations are fresh and exciting. Speaking of ''Barkley'', Tales of Game's do pull several homages to their older work, particularly with Hass the Rock's special attacks, but they're never jarring or forced. The writing is hilarious and true to the original comic - I was laughing all the way through the BigBad revealing himself to be Cool Dude and Stoner Lou and the HotCoffeeMinigame with Sweet Bro's mom - and the plot line flows suprisingly well, progressing from the boys going out to get the New Hot Game, to chasing the Squirrel, and finally to proving themselves a sweet enough bro to rescue the president when they set off to save Barack Obana. The artstyle matches the comic perfectly - who'd have known that they could animate JPEG artifacts? They even pulled off a very good instance of MagikarpPower with Geromy, who starts out as a JokeCharacter unable to attack, but then becomes the hardest hitter in the game when equipped with his best equipment. My only complaint is that I can't beat the BonusBoss, Peaches. Is there any way to hit him before he makes Sweet Bro fall down him?

*Two words: Kingdom Hearts 3. All the others were NOTHING compared to it. Where to begin. The happy rescue of Terra, Aqua, Ven, Roxas, Namine, Xion, and Lea. The second Keyblade war. Everyone cool shows up to the party. Disney villains and heroes, Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed. There was too much awesome and funny moments to list, but the keyblade battle between Maleficent and Riku can't be missed. And the final battle with Xehanort calls back to his previous forms and game music such as Another Side and Fate of the Unknown. The last form, however, is kind of depressing. All in all though, the heroes earn their happy ending.

* With the release of the final episode of ''The Siege of Babel'', I think it's safe to say that the ''GiantRobo'' saga has cemented its status as the greatest OVA series ever made, and quite likely the best mecha anime ever. Watching the entire thing in chronological order from ''The Birth of Zangetsu the Midday'' is a roller coaster that must be experienced to be believed. I'd advise watching it in weekly installments over the course of a year, but any pace works. * Oh my god, I just played the latest TouhouProject game! It's both an AuthorsSavingThrow for ''Silent Sinner in Blue'' and [[spoiler: brings back PC-98 characters!]]. The Moonbitches are subjected to TheWorfEffect and defeated off-screen by [[spoiler: Shinki!]] Then they're relegated to Stage 4 bosses that appear when you play as Marisa! It's a It's basically a NostalgiaLevel [[spoiler: for the PC-98 games]]. The boss is [[spoiler: Yuka]], who gleefully uses her signature move on you. And then, yes yes, as if this game hasn't had enough, the new Phantasm Stage! It's even ''more'' of a NostalgiaLevel, with [[spoiler: Shinki and Alice together as the mid-boss]] and the main boss is...well ''[[spoiler: [[BrotherChuck who do you think?]]]]''. Marisa's had an expression only used for that level, it was shocking to see.

* I just played EliteBeatAgents 2: Music Lives! They pretty much topped themselves on every level in this game. Seriously, the final levels make GurrenLagann look ''sedated'', and the TearJerker level made me cry so much, I couldn't play for a week. And the {{Ouendan}} are playable too!
