* There is a surprising following in Japan for Reimu (''Franchise/TouhouProject'') and an [[OurElvesAreDifferent Elvaan]] knight from ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXI'' named "Buront" in Japanese ImageBoards. ** In his quote at the win screen, Viewtiful Joe finds ComicBook/SheHulk to be attractive. The same could be same for [[spoiler:Spencer (''VideoGame/BionicCommando'')]], who goes on a sort-of-but-not-quite-date with her [[HookedUpAfterwards in his ending]].

Added DiffLines:

* Princess Aurora from ''VideoGame/ChildOfLight'' is paired with the boy from ''VideoGame/{{Limbo}}'' a good deal in fan art. It may be because both of them are young children who wake up in a scary lonely forest and set out to reunite with a family member in an atmospheric game with heavy LightDarknessJuxtaposition. [[spoiler:And both of them died before the start of the game]].
* The Batter from ''VideoGame/{{Off}}'' / Scout from ''VideoGame/TeamFortress2'' happens to pop up in fanart sometimes, mostly due to their affinity for bats.
* Franchise/{{Kirby}}[=/=]Bow (''VideoGame/PaperMario''), in the ''FanFic/PaperMarioX'' series. It's kinda cute.
* Jack (''VideoGame/BioShock1'') / Chell from ''VideoGame/{{Portal}}''. Both heavily screwed over by [[MadScientist amoral science]] and their [[MissionControlIsOffItsMeds increasingly untrustworthy]] MissionControl- they'd have so much to [[HeroicMime not talk about]]!
* Sonic (''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'') x Sash Lilac (''VideoGame/FreedomPlanet'') due to the similarities in their games and both characters being speedsters.
* Beat (''VideoGame/JetSetRadio'')/Ulala (''VideoGame/SpaceChannel5'') is a somewhat known cross-pairing. It helps that both characters are from Creator/{{Sega}} games that involve music (JSR isn't a RhythmGame though, but it does greatly involve music), both of their games take place in the future (well, JSRF does, but the first JSR doesn't), and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRyzd7aQLr4 you can see the two sliding across the room together at the end of the SegaNet commercial]] (at around the 0:55-0:56 mark, you gotta be quick with the pause button). Many people also liked putting the two on one team together in ''VideoGame/SegaSuperstars Tennis'''s doubles matches.
* The Dragonborn (''VideoGame/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim'') and Doug Rattmann (''VideoGame/{{Portal}}''). [[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7843635/1/Portalborn Yup]].
* Laharl (''VideoGame/DisgaeaHourOfDarkness'') and Marona (''VideoGame/PhantomBrave'').
* VideoGame/{{Klonoa}} x Cream (''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'').
* Tails (''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'')/VideoGame/{{Klonoa}} seems to be a relatively popular one amongst the UsefulNotes/FurryFandom, perhaps inspired by a certain {{doujinshi}} featuring the two... ehm, hanging out after work. That the two already looked similar doesn't hurt, either.
* Estelle (''VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia'') / Jin Kisaragi (''VideoGame/BlazBlue'') [[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5366441/1/Redemption_and_Beginnings Here]].
* Within the VideoGame/TalesSeries, Yuri (''VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia'')/Luke (''VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss'') has a surprisingly big following and a lot of adorable fanart. Some of the spinoff games and animations have also teased Luca (''VideoGame/TalesOfInnocence'')/Emil (''VideoGame/TalesOfSymphoniaDawnOfTheNewWorld'') and Yuri (''Vesperia''/Guy (''Abyss'').
* Morrigan (''VideoGame/DragonAgeOrigins'') and Shepard (''Franchise/MassEffect''). Or really any combination of the characters from the ''Franchise/DragonAge'' and ''Franchise/MassEffect'' universes. Or try Shepard and ''[[http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/093/0/c/psc___thrawn_and_shepard_by_aimo-d3d5vly.jpg&imgrefurl=http://aimo.deviantart.com/art/PSC-Thrawn-and-Shepard-203507782&h=544&w=385&sz=102&tbnid=5waiA9ClBoGSIM:&tbnh=92&tbnw=65&zoom=1&usg=__KFMANOslyd1TuJE4-2cAs9JQ3ig=&docid=VLTFsFasDLXKHM&sa=X&ei=GqaiUoujEeTlsATDlIHQAg&ved=0CDAQ9QEwAA Admiral Thrawn]]''.
* Outside of fellow Nintendo character, Samus from ''Franchise/{{Metroid}}'' has Master Chief from ''Franchise/{{Halo}}'', Nicole from ''VideoGame/DeadOrAlive'' (couresty of ''WebAnimation/{{Haloid}}''), ComicBook/IronMan, and even Jango Fett from '' Franchise/StarWars'' (joked about by ''Magazine/NintendoPower'' at one point). Even Franchise/{{Doom}}guy gets shipped with her on occasion.
* VideoGame/{{Bayonetta}} x Dante (''VideoGame/DevilMayCry''), as well as their rivals, Jeanne x Vergil.
** Bayonetta is also frequently paired up with Kratos (''VideoGame/GodOfWar'') as well. And as for a friendly but not romantic pairing, Bayonetta x Juliet Starling (''VideoGame/LollipopChainsaw'').
** With her inclusion into ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosForNintendo3DSAndWiiU'', she's often shipped with the representatives from ''VideoGame/KidIcarusUprising'', especially Pit and Palutena.
* Video game animal ships: Agro (''VideoGame/ShadowOfTheColossus'') / Epona (''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime''). Both are horses that the main character uses to ride throughout their respective games, and the main characters of both games are {{Bishonen}}. And, if you look closely through things like the artbook, you'll find that Agro is in fact female, making this a HoYay pairing.
* Creator/{{Nintendo}} characters have the crossover MascotFighter series ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'' to aid with this. The fandom has far more crossover shipping than shipping characters from the same franchise.
** Samus Aran from ''Franchise/{{Metroid}}'' [[LauncherOfAThousandShips gets this a lot]]. On the het side of things are Solid Snake from ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid'', Captain Falcon from ''VideoGame/FZero'' (as seen in ''Webcomic/BrawlInTheFamily''), Link from ''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'', and Pit from ''VideoGame/KidIcarus''. On the femslash side of things, we have Zelda (specifically her [[ToughLeaderFacade stoic]] ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess Twilight Princess]]'' persona used in ''Brawl'' and ''4''), followed by Peach from ''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'' (which came to rival ''Twilight Princess'' Zelda in popularity after that version was replaced in ''Ultimate''), and ''VideoGame/{{Bayonetta}}''. But overall, you can expect to find fanart and fics of Samus getting romantic (or seductive) with a good amount of the roster, from '''VideoGame/{{Mega Man|Classic}}'' to ''VideoGame/WiiFit Trainer'' to ''[[VideoGame/PunchOut Little Mac]]'', with the occasional [[OneTrueThreesome threesome]] pairing to make things more fun.
** Kirby/Jigglypuff have been seen as a ''Smash'' couple since Day One, though Meta Knight/Jigglypuff has some popularity.
** Peach has a lot of ships as well. Outside the aforementioned Samus, there's ''Twilight Princess'' Zelda (and sometimes her {{S|weetPollyOliver}}heik persona specifically) thanks to their interesting LadyAndKnight dynamic in the story mode, Link (funnily enough, the "princess swap" doesn't go the other way, and Mario/Zelda fics are nonexistent), and even Sonic.
*** One particular case of a ship between Peach and Link without a similar one between Mario and Zelda is a Platform/DeviantArt [[https://www.deviantart.com/lilacphoenix/art/Their-Turn-to-Crossdress-332434993 picture where Peach and Link, wearing each other's clothes, are trying to convince Mario and Zelda to do the same.]] Fanfic/KhaosOmega implemented this one as a way for Link to trigger [[Rule34 the loophole to the level 3400 "effect" of Meme Storm]] via Marth.
** Marth, Roy, Ike (all from ''Franchise/FireEmblem''), and Link (''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'') [[LauncherOfAThousandShips have been shipped with anyone and everyone]] (the female characters, each other, etc.) since the Gamecube era.
** Adding fuel to the great old [[FoeYayShipping ship]]: Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog / Mario (''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'').
** Some people even pair Sonic with either Samus (''Franchise/{{Metroid}}''), Zelda (''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'') or Peach (''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'').
** ''WebVideo/ThereWillBeBrawl'' also gives us Captain Falcon (''VideoGame/FZero'') / Pit (''VideoGame/KidIcarus'').
** Bara fans seem to love any combination of Captain Falcon/Snake/Ganondorf.
** Sometimes, [[UnholyMatrimony Bowser and Ganondorf are a couple, being the most iconic villains of Nintendo]].
** Less than a day after she was announced as playable in ''[=SSB4=]'', the Wii Fit Trainer became a launcher of ships as well, with Link and Samus being the most popular.
** [[http://www.smashbros.com/images/character/lucina/screen-8.jpg Thanks to this image]], Lucina (''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'')/Palutena (''VideoGame/KidIcarus'') is giving Zelda/Samus a run for its money as the most popular femslash ship in the fandom.
** [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12284766/1/Who-Needs-Mistletoe There's at least one person]] who ships Samus/Dark Pit (''VideoGame/KidIcarusUprising'').
** After ''Ultimate'' was unveiled at E3 2018, there was Daisy (''VideoGame/SuperMarioLand'') and Ridley (''Franchise/{{Metroid}}''), both revealed as newcomers that day. It has a lot to do with the incongruous BeastAndBeauty set-up along with MemeticPsychopath Daisy being paired with the ''canon'' psychopath Ridley.
** [[VideoGame/AnimalCrossing Isabelle]] and [[Franchise/StarFox Wolf]] is also a notable ship as evidenced by [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=821mtecjIvw this video]] and a bit of shipping art depicting the couple; the ship itself seems to be based mostly on the PitbullDatesPuppy trope.
* There's quite a bit of fanart of Link (''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'')[=/=]Amaterasu (''VideoGame/{{Okami}}''). Understandable given the former is a wolf in ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess''.
* ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'':
** Pairing Noctis of ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXV'' (formerly known as ''Final Fantasy versus XIII'') and Lightning of ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'' is very popular and has been [[PreemptiveShipping even before the release of either game]].
** And because she's designed as his distaff counterpart, Lightning is also frequently paired up with Cloud from [=FFVII=].
** ''VideoGame/DissidiaFinalFantasy'', being a massive in-series crossver, generated far too many crossover ships to list. Among the more prominent are Vaan/Terra (XII and VI), [[OneTrueThreesome Bartz/Squall/Zidane]] (or "589"), and Exdeath/Cloud of Darkness (V and III).
** The thieves, pirates, and otherwise {{Loveable Rogue}}s from various games are sometimes paired up, like Setzer (VI) and Balthier (XII), or Leila (II) and Faris (V).
** Garnet (''VideoGame/FinalFantasyIX'') x Noctis (''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXV'') has not only developed a following on Platform/YouTube, it even has [[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5551303/1/Of_Sleepers_Shyness_and_Music_Motifs fic]] now. Yes.
* ''Franchise/KingdomHearts''' setting leaves room for a lot of pairings for crossover romances between ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'', ''Creator/{{Disney}}'', and almost anything in-between. An in-series example of ShipTease would be Zack Fair from ''VideoGame/CrisisCore'' asking OriginalGeneration Aqua for a date in ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsBirthBySleep'', with Aqua becoming visibly flustered.
* From ''WebAnimation/DeadFantasy'': The crossover shipping of Cloud and Yuna.
* Lightning (''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'') and Raiden (''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid2SonsOfLiberty'') are shipped somewhat frequently due to their similar personalities and names drawing from the same theme. They even have their own ship name, [[IdiosyncraticShipNaming Rain]].
* Anders (''VideoGame/DragonAgeII'') / Kain (''VideoGame/FinalFantasyIV'') has been sighted (the fic in question had them meeting in [[DreamLand the Fade]] somehow). Maybe it makes some kind of cracky sense given their common status as [[spoiler:party members straddling the hero/villain line]], but that's about it.
* There is a surprising following in Japan for Reimu (''Franchise/TouhouProject'') and an [[OurElvesAreDifferent Elvaan]] knight from ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXI'' named "Buront" in Japanese ImageBoards. [[http://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=635501 Here is worksafe example]]. And they've apparently adopted [[EnfanteTerrible Rumia]]. It is based on a [[RealTrailerFakeMovie Real Trailer Fake Game]] on nicovideo called ''[[Fanfic/TouhouTheIronOfYinAndYang The Iron of Yin and Yang]]''.
* ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom'':
** Ever since the ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3'' trailer came out, people have started shipping ComicBook/IronMan with Morrigan (''VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}}''). Considering she appears to be seducing him that and trailer and [[ReallyGetsAround they both have particularly amorous reputations...]]
** Morrigan's stabbing ComicBook/{{Deadpool}} in the ass [[CombatTentacles with her tentacles]] and Chris Redfield (''Franchise/ResidentEvil'') performing a DivingSave to prevent Morrigan from falling to her death after Iron Man gets a sneak attack in on her. These are used as ShippingGoggles "evidence" for Chris/Morrigan and ([[RuleOfFunny humorously so]]) Deadpool/Morrigan.
** Morrigan seems to be switch-hitting between Tony and Chris in the openings. In the Episode 2 trailer, after Iron Man saves VideoGame/ViewtifulJoe but fails to do the same for Amaterasu (''VideoGame/{{Okami}}''), Morrigan saves Ammy and then blows a kiss to Iron Man. In the Episode 4 trailer, the last shot is a still showing all of heroes and villains duking it out... except for Morrigan, who is seen lovingly wrapping her arms around a flustered Chris, [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan perhaps as a way of]] [[RescueRomance saying thanks for saving her in Episode 1]].
** There's been a boom in Dante (''VideoGame/DevilMayCry'')/Morrigan (which had been around at least a few years prior to ''[=MvC3=]''); it's probably Dante's most popular ship next to/alongside Dante[=/=]VideoGame/{{Bayonetta}}. In a MythologyGag to Dante's meeting with Nevan in ''VideoGame/DevilMayCry3DantesAwakening'', the two are seen flirting if they're on point against one another. Dante's also says, "Mmm, baby. I love it when a girl gets violent!" at his win screen should he defeat Morrigan last in battle.
** In C. Viper's reveal trailer (''VideoGame/StreetFighterIV''), Iron Man is hitting on C. Viper in the pre-match intro, causing some to ship them as well. Iron Man and Morrigan seem to launch ships left and right.
** Iron Man hits on every female in this game ''not'' named Amaterasu. This includes Tron Bonne (''VideoGame/MegaManLegends'') and ComicBook/{{X 23}}, who are respectively '''14''' and '''16''', as well as Hsien-Ko (''VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}}''), who is ([[ChineseVampire techni]][[CuteGhostGirl cally]] [[OurZombiesAreDifferent speaking]]) ''dead''. Fans jokingly suggest that the only reason he doesn't go after Ammy is because he doesn't know that Ammy is a she. Should he win against any of them, he muses, "Told you... a nice candlelight dinner would've been better." Should he win against Morrigan, his quote at the win screen reads as such:
--->''"I think we can sort out our differences over dinner. I'll have the best chefs flown in."''
** The above Iron Man examples are all [[LampshadeHanging compounded]] by this [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRyLDZ8VHmo web animation]].
** There's [[http://my.deviantart.com/messages/#/d35vlyz Hulk and Felicia]]. It's rather cute.
** Felicia (''VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}}'') and Super Skrull (''ComicBook/FantasticFour'') appeared together on ''one'' game-affiliated t-shirt. Cue the fans on Capcom's official forums shipping them together.
** Thanks to the Episode 4 trailer of ''[=MvC3=]'', ''VideoGame/FinalFight'''s Haggar[=/=]Felicia.
** Felicia has a humorous win quote against Deadpool: "No, I don't care how much catnip you have, I'm not getting into the car with you!" How you interpret this one is up to you.
** Morrigan apparently has a fancy for ComicBook/{{Wolverine}} (her quote at the win screen reads, "You have a beastly charm I just find so, so intriguing"). She also cameos in his ending as an exotic dancer trying to seduce him. Wolverine relents to her whimsy... [[IgnoreTheFanservice but not before he finishes his drink]].
** Chun-Li (''VideoGame/StreetFighterII'') surprisingly has the hots for Thor (''ComicBook/TheMightyThor'').
--->''"Tall, blond, and handsome--you're my type of guy... But do you have to carry that hammer everywhere?"''
** Morrigan's ending has her openly flirting with [[DemonLordsAndArchdevils Mephisto and Sattanish]].
** Crossover Shipping in VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom this series [[OlderThanTheyThink actually happened before]] ''[=MvC3=]''. As early as ''[[VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcomClashOfTheSuperheroes Marvel vs. Capcom 1]]'' did ComicBook/{{Gambit}}'s ending have him flirting with none other than Morrigan (her total number of ships, excluding a few dubious examples in ''3'' [[note]]she has some HoYay-ish intros with X-23, Tron, and Phoenix, as well as some ambiguous quotes towards Magneto[[/note]], is up to '''eight''' right now, [[LauncherOfAThousandShips if you lost count]]). Before anything can get off of the ground, Rogue swoops in to carry Gambit away, much to Morrigan's displeasure.
** Shuma-Gorath (''ComicBook/DoctorStrange'') displays a creepy fondness for Hsien-Ko (''VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}}''), going as far as to propose to make her ''his bride''. Also, Morrigan ''herself'' shows an interest in Shuma's tentacles.
** In ''[[UpdatedRerelease Ultimate]]'', Morrigan [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rB67GMDWMs blatantly hits on]] Phoenix Wright (''VisualNovel/AceAttorney''). ''[[DoubleEntendre Blatantly]]''. And then there's Rocket Raccoon having the hots for Ammy... By the way, 95% of the examples above come from ''the game itself''. This isn't even getting into FanArt. ''Marvel vs. Capcom 3'': If it breathes, this game ''will'' ship it.
** A few notables on the FanArt side of ''[=MvC=]'' shipping include Dormammu (''ComicBook/DoctorStrange'')[=/=]Trish (''VideoGame/DevilMayCry''), ComicBook/IronMan[=/=]Morrigan (''VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}}''), ComicBook/GhostRider[=/=]Felicia (''VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}}''), and both ComicBook/SpiderMan[=/=]Morrigan and ComicBook/SpiderMan[=/=]Chun-Li (''Franchise/StreetFighter''). FanFiction tends to lag behind in this arena as there are only a few ''Marvel vs. Capcom'' stories out there.
** [[GirlOnGirlIsHot Morrigan/She-Hulk]], [[http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=32317076 with one of the most likely contributors being this piece of Pixiv fan art]]. ([[https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=527743093930866 Just look at the buzz it got when posted on the game's Facebook page, for starters.]])
** In the wake of Marvel 3 and ''VideoGame/ProjectXZone'', people have commented on pairing Hsien-Ko (''VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}}'') and Frank West (''VideoGame/DeadRising''). It helps that in the latter, they're frequently seen together.
* There's a decent following out there for Russia (''Webcomic/HetaliaAxisPowers'') / Yuuka (''Franchise/TouhouProject''), seeing as they're non-human [[AxCrazy psychotics]] with a mutual thing for flowers.
* Some ''Franchise/TouhouProject'' fans ship Yuyuko and VideoGame/{{Kirby}} as a ThemePairing, because they share a [[BigEater common]] [[ExtremeOmnivore interest]].
** There's also a small following for [[PersonOfMassDestruction Flandre Scarlet]] and [[AxCrazy Broly]] (''Anime/DragonBallZ'').
** The fan community for VideoGame/{{MUGEN}} has spawned an incredible amount of crossover ships. Perhaps the most well known of them is the CrackShip of Hong Meiling and [[VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters Krizalid]].
** Most ''Touhou'' heterosexual pairings are Crossover Ships due to the [[ImprobablyFemaleCast setting]].
** Sakuya Izayoi and Dio Brando (''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure''), due to their [[TimeStandsStill time manipulation abilities]] and extensive use of throwing knives. Certainly helps that Sakuya has a spellcard called "The World", a ShoutOut to Dio Brando's signature Stand.
** Alice Margatroid and Sasori from ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'' have a small fanbase of their own, specially among Asian fans, due to both being [[MarionetteMaster puppeters]].
** These last two sort of lost their popularity thanks to WebAnimation/OneMinuteMelee.
** Some artists had paired [[{{Superboss}} Spamton G. Spamton]] (''VideoGame/{{Deltarune}}'') together with [[FinalBoss Chimata Tenkyuu]]. Common traits include patchwork-like clothing, wild color choices, business motifs, and rather eccentric and egotistical personalities.
* Nathan Drake (''VideoGame/{{Uncharted}}'') x Lara Croft (''Franchise/TombRaider'').
* Order-Sol (''VideoGame/GuiltyGear'') x Fiona Mayfield (''VideoGame/ArcanaHeart'') is a relatively popular one over on pixiv.
* Heavy Weapons Guy (''VideoGame/TeamFortress2'') and Bullet (''VideoGame/BlazBlueChronophantasma'') [[http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=886585 seems to be catching on]] thanks to fans combining the latter female with Heavy's famous "I've yet to meet one who can outsmart bullet." line from "Meet the Heavy."
* Heavy and Zarya (''VideoGame/{{Overwatch}}'') have a lot of fans owing to Heavy being a [[HuskyRusskie big Russian]] man and Zarya a big Russian woman, both of whom are [[GloriousMotherRussia patriots]] from multiplayer FPS team battle arena games that use guns almost as big as they are.
* Heathen Mason (''VideoGame/SilentHill3'') and Paxton Fettel (''VideoGame/FirstEncounterAssaultRecon'') seems to have gained a rather small following on tumblr, despite the rather strong contrast of moralities.
* There exists a fic of Frost (''Franchise/MortalKombat'') with Raven (''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans2003'') that's actually not too bad. [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4893744/1/The-Konquerors Here it is]], for those of you who wanna have a gander.
* Davion, the Dragon Knight (''VideoGame/Dota2''), [[http://phsueh.deviantart.com/art/Crossover-When-Riven-meets-Rylai-Part-5-426106664 meet]], Syvana, the Half Dragon (''VideoGame/LeagueOfLegends''). A sweet reminder that both MOBA games can find something common to enjoy together (at the expense of [[ButtMonkey Teemo]]).
* Due to them being fellow Kickstarter buddies developed by Inti Creates, Beck from ''VideoGame/MightyNo9'' and Shantae from... well, ''VideoGame/{{Shantae}}'' have some fan following.
* There's a few ''VideoGame/TheLastOfUs'' Ellie / ''VideoGame/TheWalkingDeadTelltale'''s Clem shippers out there, with a few fics and one [[http://sadzombiegirls.tumblr.com/ Alternate Universe Tumblr]].
* The surprisingly adorable {{Crossover}} [[YuriGenre Shoujo-Ai]] pairing of Shizuku Osaka (''VideoGame/LoveLiveSchoolIdolFestival'') X Hilda (''VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite'') has been gaining a small following on Platform/DeviantArt lately.
* Alex Mercer (''VideoGame/{{Prototype}}'') x Desmond Miles (''Franchise/AssassinsCreed''), otherwise known as [[PortmanteauCoupleName "Protocreed"]], has a following on Tumblr and a number of fanfics on Platform/ArchiveOfOurOwn.
* An intra-Capcom pairing, ''Resident Evil's'' Leon Kennedy and ''Haunting Ground's'' Fiona Belli. Some fans are of the opinion that Fiona's dog Hewie is the same white dog Leon saves outside Pueblo, and who returns to help against El Gigante. She is considerably more popular than [[DamselInDistress Ashort Graham]], to the point were Fiona is reskinned into 4 in Ashley's place.
* Saber (''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'') and Kohaku (''VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}}''). No, really. The couple appears in {{Doujin}} game ''VideoGame/BattleMoonWars''. And they're adorable. Kohaku loves to cook, Saber loves to eat; and they both understand wanting to live their lives over.
* Sakura Saber (''VideoGame/FateGrandOrder''), the genderflipped version of Souji Okita, captain of UsefulNotes/TheShinsengumi, has been often been paired with the {{Manga/Drifters}} version of the vice-captain Hijikata Toshizou. The fact that Hijikata Toshizou has been added as a [[TheBerserker Berserker]] class in ''VideoGame/FateGrandOrder'' makes it even more amusing. Fan artists have now made it a LoveTriangle.
** Kiara Sessyoin from ''VideoGame/FateExtra'' and Belial from ''VideoGame/GranblueFantasy'' too, because the former was rereleased at the same time as the latter was released, and both are [[ReallyGetsAround extremely amorous]].
* ''VideoGame/BlazBlueCrossTagBattle'' has a ton of this, as it features four franchises (''Franchise/BlazBlue'', ''VideoGame/Persona4'', ''VideoGame/UnderNightInBirth'' and ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'') which are all notorious for shipping in a tag-team fighting game. Ragna x Ruby was a popular ship even ''before'' the release of the game, even having a ship name and fanart - being both red-and-black-clad scythe-wielders from fantasy-esque settings, as was [[AnIcePerson Jin x Weiss]]. Probably one of the more interesting ones to stem from the game itself is [[FunPersonified Makoto x Yosuke]]; the two show up together in the game's intro, and Makoto is the only character besides Yu to be perfectly nice and respectful to him.
** Hyde Kido (''VideoGame/UnderNightInBirth''), surprisingly for a CluelessChickMagnet, gets a lot of crossover shipping with several girls he runs into the story, mainly Ruby (who he fights alongside against Yosuke and Chie and also meets again in [[spoiler:Episode [=P4A's=] ending]]), Weiss (who he rescues from [[AxCrazy Azrael and Carmine]] and then they have a snark-off and finally part ways on quite friendly terms) and Yukiko (who he runs into and rescues from [[LethalChef Noel's curry]]).
* There are fanart of the male ''VideoGame/CodeVein'' Protagonist pairing up with Hifumi Togo (''VideoGame/Persona5''), [[https://twitter.com/ford1114/status/1056687265420840962 in]] [[https://twitter.com/ScruffyTurtles/status/1070153662868054016 paying]] [[https://twitter.com/HyakunanaArts/status/1072592222590246912 homage]] [[https://www.reddit.com/r/codevein/comments/aa5df4/hifumi_persona_5_and_code_vein_protagonist/ to]] [[https://twitter.com/ScruffyTurtles/status/1172710498732781568 vampire]]/[[https://twitter.com/ford1114/status/1163599159682879489 human]] [[https://twitter.com/Zherovan/status/1216866790153674754 pairings]]. One can wonder the ''VideoGame/CodeVein'' Protagonist's edgy appearance blends in with Hifumi's {{Chuunibyou}} manners.
* Isabelle (''VideoGame/AnimalCrossing'') and Doomguy (''VideoGame/{{Doom}}''), simply because of ''VideoGame/AnimalCrossingNewHorizons'' and ''VideoGame/DoomEternal'' releasing on the same date.
* On a non-romantic note, [=DeviantArt=] has a truly surprising amount of art and stories about [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Tifa Lockhart]] adopting [[Anime/SonicX Chris Thorndyke]]. ''On'' a romantic side, a lot of those same artworks will also pair him up with [[Franchise/ResidentEvil Sherry Birkin]].
* Lesbian example. There are a lot of people who ship Chun Li from the ''Franchise/StreetFighter'' series with Mai Shiranui from ''VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters'' due to them both being women from fighting games.
* The fusion of ''VideoGame/DynastyWarriors'' and ''VideoGame/SamuraiWarriors'', aka ''VideoGame/WarriorsOrochi'', played this to the extreme. Now we have Cao Pi/Mitsunari, Ling Tong/Okuni, Sun Shang Xiang/Inahime, Tachibana/[=XingCai=], and so on and so forth. Also, Da Ji regularly hits on Sakon in the second game's Dream Mode levels.
