Carl William Demarest (February 27, 1892 – December 28, 1983), best known for his roles in several Creator/PrestonSturges comedies of the 1940s and for playing Uncle Charley on the sitcom ''Series/MyThreeSons'' from 1965–72.

He was married to Estelle Collette and Lucille Thayer and had no children, although he helped Collette raise a daughter from a previous marriage.

Demarest died in his home from a heart attack in 1983 at the age of 91.
