Joanne Heywood is a British actress best known for playing Jessica Lovelock in ''Series/GraceAndFavour''.
Her acting career began in musical theatre at the Guildford School of Acting. Once she graduated, her professional stage debut was in the {{Pantomime}} ''Jack and the Beanstalk'' in 1985 at the Theatre Royal, followed by plays such as ''Theatre/TheOddCouple'' and ''Theatre/RomeoAndJuliet''.
The following year marked Heywood's first time on TV, appearing in an episode of ''Brush Strokes''. After this, she was cast in the ''Series/LastOfTheSummerWine'' prequel, ''First of the Summer Wine'', as Dilys, a role she played for two series.
Following guest roles in ''Series/TheNewStatesman'' and ''Series/TheBrittasEmpire'', she joined the cast of ''Series/AreYouBeingServed'' in the AfterShow, ''Grace & Favour'', as Jessica Lovelock. Once ''G&F'' came to an end, Heywood appeared in series including ''Series/{{Knightmare}}'', ''Series/NextOfKin'', ''Series/CoronationStreet'', ''Series/APrinceAmongMen'', and ''Series/{{Heartbeat}}''.
Come the 2000s, Heywood started taking fewer TV roles, choosing to focus on the theatre, both regional and in the West End.
