Emma Gwynedd Mary Chambers, (11 March 1964 –- 21 February 2018) was a British actress best known for playing Alice Chambers in ''Series/TheVicarOfDibley''.

After training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, she worked as a member of the repertory company at the Stephen Joseph Theatre. After much success on the stage, she appeared in small roles on TV, such as in two 1990 episodes of ''Series/TheBill''. In 1994, she was cast as [[CloudCuckooLander Alice Tinker]] in ''The Vicar of Dibley'', appearing in all twenty episodes and four UsefulNotes/ComicRelief specials.

Other notable work by Chambers includes voicing Belle Stickleback in ''WesternAnimation/PondLife'' and Spotty in ''WesternAnimation/LittleRobots'', and playing Helen Yardley in ''Series/HowDoYouWantMe'' and Honey Thacker in ''Film/NottingHill''.

She died of a heart attack at the age of 53.
