* EldritchLocation: This series introduces the concept of a "Bad Continuum". Parallel universes that diverged from having flawed big bangs, resulting in undersized realities with unique laws of physics like water freezing into music at 100 degrees Celsius. Matter transferred from these universes retain their unique properties, which is bad news when A.I.M. mines one where matter can easily be used to create stars.

%%* * PsychoactivePowers: Captain BritainBritain's powers in this series are dependent on his confidence. He notes how inconvenient it is compared to how they previously worked.

Added DiffLines:

* SoulPower: One arc involves stopping the trade of the ground up bones of primordial beings. These beings were so large that their bodies contained multitudes of souls, and so ancient that there was no afterlife of any kind to pass on to when they died, so the souls remained locked within the bones. The souls can be released by burning and inhaled to temporarily empower someone.
* WeaponizedTeleportation: One of the plots the team has to stop is the subterranean of a giant time pad beneath an empty city. The villains plan to teleport the city and hold the world ransom with threats to drop it on top of any place.

Author Appeal is limited to kinks and plot gimmicks, as per that page, not reuse of characters

* AuthorAppeal:
** Nick Spencer, writer of the Comicbook/MarvelNOW version of the team, admits in interviews that Mockingbird is one of his favourite characters, and wanted to use her specifically because he always tries to use her in his work wherever he can.
** He also really likes the Caterpillars from Secret Warriors. So far Sebastian Druid and Ellis Love have appeared.

* CallBack: Natasha mentions her involvement in ComicBook/{{SecretWar|2004}}, where she stood by and let Nick Fury mess with the memories of her fellow heroes without their consent. She also tells Clint that SHIELD isn't the Red Room and that this is their choice, and that they get to walk away (unlike similar work in her past where memories were removed and implanted without her consent and without her being allowed to leave). #7 has Maria tell Daisy that what they're doing was supposed to be about Kobik, which is from the Marvel Now Point One issue.

* BackstoryInvader: Inverted with Leonard Gary in the ''ComicBook/FearItself'' crossover event issue. Leonard Gary is supposedly a friend of Beast's with Omega-level RealityWarper abilities. Leonard is shown to be so powerful that he literally brings Washington D.C. to life to repel Red Skull's Neo-Nazi invasion, and yet we've never heard of him before. Beast implies that Leonard has previously deliberately used his powers to hide himself from people like the X-Men.
