* ADayInTheLimelight: One day, Little Thunder left Yakari without warning. The whole story was focused on him in ''Little Thunder's Secret''.

* BearyFriendly: There was friendly and harmless bear nicknamed "skinny" who was bullied by the grizzly bear mentioned above.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: When Yakari had an accident with Little Thunder, he got angry and frustrated and wish he didn't had his special gift. The next day, much to his horror, he could no longer communicate with animals.
