''Wonder Woman and the Star Riders'' was a promotional comic distributed in Kelloggs cereal for a line of toys and an animated series which were never produced, making it the only part of a planned but cancelled Creator/DCComics and Creator/{{Mattel}} franchise which was actually completed and put into production. Of the five Star Riders Franchise/WonderWoman, Dolphine and Ice were new iterations of existing DC characters, while Star Lily and Solara were new creations for the stillborn franchise.

This fifteen page comic follows the Star Riders, lead by the Amazon Princess Franchise/WonderWoman, as they track down the thief Purrsia who has stolen their magical Star Jewels. After they reclaim their jewels and capture the villainess they are distracted by a sudden violent storm outside their floating castle fortress and Purrsia escapes, re-stealing Solara's star jewel on her way out.

The unused toy designs were repurposed by Mattel for their ''WesternAnimation/TenkoAndTheGuardiansOfTheMagic'' doll line.
----
* EightiesHair: Wonder Woman has enough hair for at least four women sticking out the top of her head. She has an enormous ponytail that doesn't even contain half of her giant curly hair.
* CharacterNameAndTheNounPhrase: ''WonderWoman and the Star Riders''
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Dolphine has teal blue hair and eyes.
* ElementalHair: Dolphine is a water controller with blue hair, and Ice has ice powers and silvery white hair.
* FertileFeet: Star Lily is shown with flowers sprouting around her feet on the cover and is known to have a variation of plant control, however she spends the entire comic working to regain her stolen magic gem alongside the other Star Riders and gets no chance to use said powers since the chase takes place in the air and the battle takes place over the ocean.
* FlowerInHerHair: Star Lily's ponytail is ringed in flowers.
* FrillsOfJustice: Wonder Woman wears a tutu-like skirt with a lacy underskirt, star print tights, and a cape, vambraces, boots and top in magenta. Dolphine's got blue and teal tights, a skirt made of lace with a sparkly cape skirt in back, a crown-like hair piece, and a scalloped edged neck covering that looks like a tight-fitting gugel that's had the actual hood removed. Ice is essentially a palate swap of Dolphine with a different skirt and the neck covering transformed into the top of a cape. Star Lily is wearing a gigantic flower made of lace on her back, flower accents and a multi-layered skirt.
* HorseOfADifferentColor: Purrsia rides a giant flying purple panther.
* InescapableNet: Purrsia catches Dolphine in a net Dolphine can't escape without the aid of the other star riders despite having magic relating to water and being in the ocean.
* LightEmUp: Solara has the power of the sun, and uses light based attacks.
* MagicStaff: This version of Ice uses a magic staff capped with an often glowing crystal.
* MagicalGirlWarrior: This version of Wondy that took this concept and ran with it. She was dressed in more frills than normal and lead a group of girls in similar but different colored get-ups who rode winged horses and used magical crystals.
* MineralMacGuffin: Each of the Star Riders have a magical star shaped jewel that helps them keep the earth safe which the villain steals. The riders get them back, but the villain manages to steal one as she escapes and swears she'll steal the rest again one by one.
* MiniDressOfPower: Wondy wears a tutu-like skirt as do all the other Star Riders save Ice who wears a short white dress instead.
* {{Pegasus}}: Dolphine rides a white winged horse with a light blue mane and tail named Cloudancer.
* PinkHeroine: While all the Star Riders but Dolphine have a little pink in their outfits Wonder Woman is decked in almost all pink, with a magenta top, cape, boots and accents, light pink vambraces and belt and pink stars on her tights.
* PowerCrystal: Each of the Star Riders has a star jewel with magic properties that give the wearer additional control over an elemental power and help keep natural elements of the world in balance. All the gals have a spot for their jewels on their belts.
* PrincessesPreferPink: Wonder Woman, Amazon princess, switches out all the parts of her costume that are normally red for magenta, adds a matching cape and rides a matching winged unicorn whose wings, mane and tail are cotton candy pink.
* ShowgirlSkirt: Dolphine wears a short pretty much transparent lace skirt underneath a pleated blue skirt that covers essentially nothing in front but gets as low as her ankles in back.
* StillbornFranchise:
* WingedUnicorn: Wonder Woman rides a pink winged unicorn named Nightshine.
* WorldOfPun: The Star Rider's only known villain Purrsia seems to be incapable of communicating in anything but puns and insults, or punny insults. The Star Riders themselves are also frequent users of puns, mainly cat puns directed at or when talking about Purrsia.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Dolphine has teal blue hair, Solara has pink hair, Ice has silver hair and Purrsia has purple hair.
