* Expanded Universe: There have been some books based on the comics. The Adventure books and the Crystal Birds series. It's one book per girl. These books (at least the adventure series which this troper owns) have images from the magazines inserted.

* NightmareFuel: The astral drops exist in some kind of limbo. There's nothing on this place except for the astral drop, who is alone, can experience feelings like anyone else and... she's trapped there unless the Guardian that created her takes her out of there.

** The Heart Of Kandrakar is not needed for transformation, the Guardians have transformed before the power-upgrade without using it.

* [=~Everything's Better With Princesses~=]: [[spoiler: Elyon.]] At the end of the first saga [[spoiler: she becomes queen.]]

** SixthRanger: Varies from season to season, the most noteworthy are Caleb, Orube, Elyon(Very briefly) and Matt.

* SexierAlterEgo - The titular ''Comicbook/{{WITCH}}'' are fairly average (albeit skinny) teenagers in their normal form. When transformed however, the are changed to look much more.. adult. Lampshaded on more than one occasion.

* WingsDoNothing: At first, the guardians wings are pretty much useless and Hay Lin is the only one who can actually fly. At one point in the third saga, Orube asks why they even have them if they can't actually use them. However, in the seventh saga, the girls get a power upgrade which include bigger wings that allow them to fly (but Cornelia is afraid to).

* WingsDoNothing: At first, the guardians wings are pretty much useless and Hay Lin is the only one who can actually fly. At one point in the third saga, Orube asks why they even have them if they can't actually use them. However, in the seventh saga, the girls get a power upgrade which include bigger wings that allow them to fly.

* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: comes with the ElementalPowers: Green Earth, Blue (Turquoise) Water, Red/Orange Fire, Silver (Sometimes baby blue) Air and Pink... wathever Will's power is.

* {{Animesque}}: Given by the frequent use of emoticon faces, large eyes, and even [[SweatDrop]]s.

** This then leads to a [[spoiler: very good story arc where all the astral drops band together and try to live without the originals to varying degrees of success.]]

* The confusion continues. In another issue, they use dollars.

** Let's not forget C.H.Y.K.N

** Of course, in English, her name [[Meaningful Name takes on a whole new meaning]] when you think about it.

* NightmareFuel: Anytime an Astral Drop is merged with their creator, [[spoiler:they end up fully aware in a completely white landscape with no sense of time.]]

* UnfortunateImplications: Not on the comic itself, but on some of the merchandise, the only ones who get excluded are Hay Lin and Taranee.

* [[WhereTheHellIsSpringfield Where The Hell Is Heatherfield]]: Most people seems to agree it's somewhere in Europe... and that's as far as the guessing goes...
** There's one issue where there is the flag of the USA in either the Principal's office or somewhere within the girls' school.
*** However, they use euros in one issue... AlternateUniverse?
*** Not only that, AlternateUniverse of CodeGeass?
*** Ireland? The flag was decorative?

* WallBanger The romantic relationship between [[spoiler:Will]] and [[spoiler:Matt]] builds up gradually, to the point she even reveals her secret to him and he agrees to keep it and even to help her as much as he can, which ends up in him risking his life and defeating a BigBad with his own hands. Cue the New Power saga: years of relationship and character development are thrown out of the window and [[spoiler:Matt]] is revealed to be some sort of teacher that came from Kandrakar to watch over them. Besides the obvious implications (the writer remembered that he's supposed to still love her only the last issues of the saga, in an AuthorsSavingThrow), this choice just raises further questions. [[spoiler:For example, are Matt and his mother really related?]]
** I never got the impression that [[spoiler: Matt]] originally came from Kandrakar. I thought [[spoiler: Matt]] said that the oracle had decided to entrust him with the task of helping the girls master their new powers (presumably because he was the only person aware of their secret who was available at the time) because the oracle could not contact the girls during that saga, and had given him the necessary means to accomphlish this task?
