Cloning Blues renamed to Clone Angst as per TRS, specifically about angst from a character discovering that they're a clone.

* CloningBlues: All the evil Crusaders are the result of Archie Masters being cloned thousands of times, and it's clear that the rampant cloning has caused imperfections - while the older clones can easily pose as Archie, the newer clones are so horribly degraded that they don't even have proper faces and have to be sealed inside their suits because of all the radiation they give off.

The story goes that, back in UsefulNotes/WorldWarII, the American government got Fighting Yank, a SuperHero with CharlesAtlasSuperpower, the ghost of his great-grandfather who gives him advice and a magic cloak, to retrieve [[PandorasBox Pandora's Urn]] from Nazi clutches. The mythology of Pandora's Urn goes that when she opened it, all the horror and evil in the world was released from it, but also "hope".

** Mrs. Octopus is implied to be the widow of the Octopus, one of ComicBook/TheSpirit's enemies. Apparently, he was killed in battle, so she tortures Flame Girl in the hopes of getting information about it.
** ''The Owl'' series implies that after the Owl disappeared into the Urn, his former partner and lover Owl Girl went through a dark period in which she resumed her vigilante career with a much harsher bent. Her granddaughter Megan also went this route after losing her parents in a bank robbery; she took up the Owl Girl mantle in order to murder criminals.
