* TheBigGuy: Theo wields a PowerFist and is rather muscular. His effect also evokes this, as the controller can target an Extra Deck monster and boost Theo's ATK by 600, while causing the target to lose 600 ATK. As Theo has 1800 ATK, this means that a targeted monster needs at least 3100 ATK to still come out stronger than Theo.

Even after refusing his Stigmata, Theo chooses blades that encourage his fisticuff fighting style.
* BlessedWithSuck: Downplayed. Adin has amazing magical powers as a Dogmatika member, but is unable to enjoy hot drinks completely because a Stigmata is on his tongue.

Kitt also has one in her card artwork. By time of the final battle, only one Mercourier remains, depicted alongside him as Tri-Brigade Arms "Bucephalus II". Mercourier is even used to deliver mail to the Tri-Brigade crew and the rest of Albaz and Ecclesia's friends.

* ThoseTwoGuys: Theo and Adin are depicted like this in the Abyss storyline. They are never seen far from their leader Fleurdelis. And when she defects from the Dogmatika and joins the Swordsouls, they join her as well in the form of The Golden Swordsoul.

* AmbiguouslyHuman: [[DownplayedTrope More accurately, ambiguously humanoid]]. All of the Tri-Brigade monsters whose faces have been seen are shown to be overall humanoid, but possessing animal traits, such as Shuraig being a WingedHumanoid. Rugal however is TheFaceless, and the only parts of his body uncovered are his wrists, ankles, tail, and the back of his head, all of which possess wolf's fur sans the latter, which has a full mane of hair, leaving unclear if he's a [[OurWerewolvesAreDifferent wolf-man]], or similar to his compatriots in being a humanoid with wolf traits. Even his [[CoolMask mask]] doesn't help, as while the shape would suggest he has a wolf's muzzle, Shuraig wears one resembling a bird's beak despite having a humanoid face, meaning it's possible Rugal too has a humanoid face underneath that mask. [[spoiler:His face would finally be shown in a montage of shots in the ''Valuable Book EX 3'', revealing he does in fact have a wolf's muzzle.]]

* EmergencyWeapon: After being BroughtDownToNormal and becoming Albaz the Ashen, Albaz wields a shard of Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon's body as a makeshift dagger.
* EyeScream: His left eye is always closed. A scar beneath the eye gives the impression that it was either damaged or gouged out, though all of his dragon forms are depicted with both eyes, and both can be seen glowing in the artwork of Branded in White. A showcase by Konami's animation studio implies that the scar is actually MorphicResonance from a wound inflicted on his Titaniklad form by Fleurdelis.
