* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: This happens in the second witch war when [[spoiler:Ichijo's provocation power]] makes everyone irrationally angry, and given their need to take it out on someone, they take it out on Miyamura who's the StudentCouncilPresident - Miyamura even points out that it's human nature to take out on your anger on authority figures when you don't know who to take it out on. This leads to [[spoiler:a vote of non-confidence, making him lose his position]].

* BestFriend: To Yamada, since they are HeterosexualLifePartners who always have each other's backs. [[spoiler:In the last part of the series, Miyamura shares the role with Ushio, who also was Yamada's best friend before high school.]]

* BluntYes: In chapter 210, he reassures Yamada that he shouldn't heed others' advice and should just follow his own heart when it comes to [[spoiler:recovering the lost memories]] - in an attempt to manipulate Yamada into going along with his idea of [[spoiler:using Kurosaki's time travel power]]. When Yamada finally decides to [[spoiler:try to recover the memories]], Miyamura is ecstatic about Yamada going along with his plan. Yamada angrily asks if Miyamura was just pretending to be sympathizing with his worries, after which latter quickly replies "yup".

* BroomstickQuarterstaff: Despite being a competent hand-to-hand fighter, he for some reason tried to use a broom to fight [[spoiler:Dark Takuma]].

* ComedicUnderwearExposure: At the second ceremony, [[spoiler:Nancy]] pulls his pants down as part of her TimeFreezeTrollingSpree.

* {{Familiar}}: [[spoiler:He becomes Yamada’s spotter for a while when Yamada copies Takuma’s power, making him a human version of this trope.]]

* HyperAwareness: He's usually able to tell that something is off when he encounters body-swapped people. [[spoiler: Not quite to the degree of Shiraishi, though, as while he knew that Arisugawa in chapter 113 wasn't the real Arisugawa, he couldn't entirely tell who she really was.]]

* ItsALongStory: He double-subverts the trope when he [[spoiler:steps down from running for student council presidency another time]]. Tamaki asks why, and Miyamura replies that it's a long story. Tamaki insists that he has time to listen to a long story. Miyamura says that the full story is that he cannot be bothered with it anymore, to which a dumbfounded Tamaki points out that the "long story" was only one sentence. Miyamura then reveals that it actually ''was'' a long story by explaining his real plan for why he shouldn't [[spoiler:be president again]].

* LoveFreak: Despite being mostly known as a pervert, he's also a sucker for regular romance, as evidenced by his reactions to [[spoiler: Himekawa's "romance power"]] (he coined the term) and Kaori's relationship among other things.

* PragmaticHero: Develops into this in the second witch war, probably because he has a [[spoiler:ZeroPercentApprovalRating]] and feels like he has nothing to lose. He's completely fine with Yamada [[spoiler:using the manipulation power on unwitting targets]] and ambushing [[spoiler:Ushio to force him to give back Kotori's power]].

* RightForTheWrongReasons: [[spoiler: When he thinks Yamada and Shiraishi's relationship is gonna fizzle out soon, he's unfortunately right - just not because of their lack of a sex life as he thinks, but because they spend too little time together in general, and that becomes a problem to Shiraishi when she is put under a witch power.]]

* SkewedPriorities: He tends to prioritize silly or perverted things over important or serious things. When Kaori offered to do one favor, he would rather see her take her clothes off or have Yamada rub her boobs than gain information about the Japanese chess club, and when [[spoiler: Shiraishi had finally returned to school and confronted Yamada about another girl]], he would rather play with soap bubbles than worry/interfere.

* SmokingIsCool: [[spoiler:In the epilogue, he has become a smoker - all while remaining as sleek as ever.]]

* StudentCouncilPresident: In the second part of the story - until [[spoiler: he is removed from office through a no-confidence bill]].

* TargetSpotter: [[spoiler:This is one of his purposes as a spotter along with being a human {{Familiar}}. He can relay the positions of the witches to Yamada in case that Yamada wants to erase their memories.]]

* {{Tritagonist}}: In the first part of the story. He's a bit less important the main couple (though he probably has more lines than Shiraishi because she is a bit quiet), but much more important than Itou and Tsubaki. In the second part of the story, he is the {{Deuteragonist}} since Shiraishi's screen-time decreases - though he has to share the role with Odagiri now and then, [[spoiler: and Shiraishi again when he returns to the club]].

* {{Brainwashed}}: [[spoiler: For a while, she was hit by Ichijo's provocation power, which made her try to drive stakes between people out of jealousy. (Case in point, Yamada and Shiraishi)]]

* FriendToAllChildren: She seems to be very fond of children, with how she instantly likes the child-like Kotori and Hikaru, and with how she gladly chats to and holds [[spoiler:Odagiri's]] and [[spoiler:Ushio's]] children in the epilogue.

* GetOut: [[spoiler: Her reaction to Yamada coming into the clubroom when she has forgotten him the second time around, especially when she thinks he's a stalker which absolutely creeps her out.]]

* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: [[spoiler: When she was hit by Ichijo's witch power. She stopped frequenting the club, and she took part in the student council opposition, and yet she did have some compassion left for her friends and willingly went with her club to the student council office to hear about Yamada's past.]]

* ImpliedLoveInterest: With [[spoiler:Tsubaki]] in the epilogue. Odagiri jokes that they should marry already, and Itou immediately dismisses the joke, but it's not clear if she was annoyed by the suggestion that she would want to date [[spoiler:Tsubaki]], or if she's annoyed that Odagiri is meddling in their already existing relationship.

* MotherlySideplait: She has grown her hair into this style in the epilogue. While not a mother (yet), she has certainly become more motherly due to [[TookALevelInKindness taking a level in kindness]] and being very fond of [[spoiler:Odagiri's]] and [[spoiler:Ushio's]] children.

* PostStressOvereating: Apparently started overeating when [[spoiler: under Ichijo's provocation power]] since she complained about getting fat.
* TheQuisling: PlayedForLaughs when [[spoiler:her past self meets Yamada who has traveled back to Hino's past, and she thinks he's an antagonistic alien donning a schoolboy disguise. Her immediate reaction is merrily offering to help him conquer the Earth given that she, as an Earthling, knows how it's done best.]]

* RelationshipSabotage: The first thing she does when [[spoiler:put under the provocation power]] is lying to Yamada that Shiraishi is cheating on him with Tsubaki (and tricking Shiraishi and Tsubaki to go shopping together so Yamada can see them together) in order to sabotage their relationship. It's implied that [[spoiler:the power enhanced her already existing jealousy]] and as such she wanted either of them to herself.

* ShipTease: Through out the story, it is hinted that she actually develops some feelings toward Yamada, but she keeps it to herself because he is in love with Shiraishi [[spoiler:which, unfortunately, is one of the emotions that explode when she falls under Ichijo's Provocation Power.]]
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: For one thing, she has stated that she ''doesn't'' like [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys "dark and brooding"]] guys. She is sometimes implied to be a crushing a bit on Yamada who is a real ChickMagnet due to his kind-hearted actions, and in the epilogue, she [[spoiler:is implied to be dating Tsubaki who's also a fairly friendly guy]].

* BrutalHonesty: He always blurts out exactly what he's thinking as Yamada finds out [[spoiler: when he uses Kotori's mind-reading power]].

* DemotedToExtra: He was never a major character except for in his introduction arc, but he was technically part of the main cast in the first part of the story and thus received a fair amount of screen-time. In the second part, he's - with a few exceptions - more or less become background material. [[spoiler:When Yamada returns to the Supernatural Studies Club, Tsubaki's appearances become a bit more frequent, though his actual role is still as small as ever.]]

* ForgettableCharacter: He really takes on Tamaki’s role regarding this trope when [[spoiler: Yamada and Miyamura return to the club from the student council]]. The others constantly forget to bring him in on the fun, like body-swap antics and swimsuit shopping.

* HopelessSuitor: To Shiraishi. To be fair, he fell in love with her when he didn't even know her, his reasons being rather flimsy, while she just saw him as an annoying passer-by. When they got to know each other, Yamada had already won her heart a long time ago. [[spoiler: In chapter 194, he shapes up to be this with Itou instead, though the epilogue implies it may not have been hopeless after all.]]
* ImpliedLoveInterest: With [[spoiler:Itou]] in the epilogue. Odagiri jokes that they should marry already, and [[spoiler:Itou]] immediately dismisses the joke, but it's not clear if she was annoyed by the suggestion that she would want to date Tsubaki, or if she's annoyed that Odagiri is meddling in their already existing relationship.

* AllegedLookalikes: [[spoiler:As identical twins, he and Hotaru supposedly look so much alike that you can't tell them apart by just looking at their faces. And while that is indeed true, the series ''in general'' suffers from a case of OnlySixFaces, meaning that the Suzuhara twins are no more identical than a lot of non-related characters from the series, for example Yamada and Tsubaki who also have the exact same face - but for some reason, people don't have trouble telling Yamada and Tsubaki apart.]]
* AlwaysIdenticalTwins: [[spoiler: He has an identical twin named Hotaru which explains why he has a quiet and gentle side and a rough side - because they're two different people.]]
* AmbiguouslyBi: Apparently a default trope for anyone who [[spoiler: becomes a member of the Supernatural Studies Club]]. He is seen fantasizing about being a host with a cute girl by his side, but later, when [[spoiler: Shiraishi in Yamada's body]] zips down his pants to look at his junk, Hikaru also has a curious look.

* BecomingTheMask: [[spoiler: Initially, he disliked school due to not being the bookish type. He has to pretend otherwise when he impersonates Hotaru, and eventually, he actually ends up enjoying the high school experience.]]

* CharmPerson: [[spoiler: His power. Just like Nene, he can make people fall in love with him and do his bidding if he kisses them.]]

* IdenticalTwinIDTag: [[spoiler:When Hotaru comes to Suzaku High, Itou makes Hikaru wear a sweatband so the other club members can tell the difference between them. In junior high, Hotaru and Hikaru had vastly different hairstyles, making them look just as different from each other [[OnlySixFaces as from any other male character in the series]].]]

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: [[spoiler: He is a delinquent who often gets in trouble, but a lot of it seems to be due to a lack of social skills, and he shows in his loyalty to his brother that he is a very good person.]]

* OutOfFocus: To a degree that makes Tsubaki - the club's former poster boy for this trope - look significant. Even though Hikaru has joined the club, he has no importance whatsoever after his introductory arc (except that he's [[spoiler:needed for the ceremony like the other witches]]) and only has around a dozen lines for the remainder of the series. He doesn't even get around to [[spoiler:use his witch power on anyone]].

* PolarOppositeTwins: [[spoiler: He and Hotaru are like night and day, with Hikaru being a slow-witted delinquent and Hotaru being bookish and hard-working. It's even lampshaded with the exact trope words.]]
* SheIsTheKing: [[spoiler: Gender inverted. Despite being a guy, he’s still called a "witch" ("majo" in Japanese which literally means "magical woman").]]

* ShonenHair: [[spoiler: Before presuming Hotaru's identity, his hairstyle was like this.]]
* StepfordSmiler: He comes across as a somewhat quiet, yet polite and easy-going guy when he visits the club. [[spoiler: When Yamada follows him after school, he shows a much more serious and aggressive side and seems to have a troubled background of some kind. It's later explained that his polite side is because he's pretending to be his much nicer twin brother.]]

* TwinSwitch: [[spoiler: He presumes the identity (and hairstyle) of Hotaru who had really looked forward to go to high school when Hotaru is admitted to hospital, just out of brotherly loyalty and to make Hotaru some friends.]]

* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: The kind and responsible, book-smart sibling to [[spoiler:Hikaru's]] book-dumb, rough sibling.

* OutOfFocus: Just like Hikaru, he joins the club only to not have a speck of plot-importance for the remainder of the series. He's a slightly more justified case as he joins only 10 chapters before the end of the series (right before two plot-lines he realistically can't take part in, namely college preparations and [[spoiler:Shiraishi's disappearance]]), and unlike Hikaru, he has no witch power he can be expected to use.

* {{Bishonen}}: One of the most pretty boy-looking guys in the series. [[spoiler:Downplayed as himself due to his ShounenHair.]]

* {{Bishonen}}: Being nearly identical to his brother, he is one of the most pretty boy-looking guys in the series.

* TheChick: Of the Supernatural Studies Club. While not being the most gentle girl out there, she does play a [[TheHeart heart]] role to the club.

* IllBoy: Has gotten into an unspecified accident and is being hospitalized for six months, though he has been discharged by the end of the story.

* CryCute: After his accident (temporarily) takes away his dream of going to high school, he can't help but cry.

* CryCute: Shortly after her introduction when she felt betrayed by the club.

* SpotlightStealingSquad: Miyamura is the only character besides Yamada himself who consistently gets a lot of screen-time and never has long periods of time where's he's OutOfFocus or [[PutOnABus outright]] [[AbsenteeActor absent]]. As such, his constant appearances can come across as very gratuitous to those who want minor characters to get more focus.

* AbsenteeActor: He is oddly absent from Rika's arc. Shiraishi and Miyamura remain important during the arc despite having their hero roles filled by Tamaki and Odagiri, and even Itou has several appearances, but Tsubaki is only seen at the very start (when his memory was just wiped) and at the end (when his memory has returned).

* CharacterizationMarchesOn: When it comes to her stance to Yamada's delinquency. At her introduction, she doesn't actually seem to care that Yamada's a delinquent - she doesn't respect him quite as much as she respects Shiraishi and Miyamura, but otherwise she acts normal around with him and even tries to make friends with him. At later occasions, when she loses her memory of him, she's extremely distrustful around him exactly because he's a delinquent, and acts much more hostile toward him than the other club members. Other than this aspect, she's a StaticCharacter, though.

* StaticCharacter: Unlike Yamada and Shiraishi (and to a smaller degree Miyamura), Itou's personality hasn't really changed since her introduction.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: He has silver hair.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: She has maroon hair.
