* BigBadWannabe: Emphasis on "[[IJustWantToBeBadass wannabe]]". [[spoiler:He gets his wish in a BadFuture, and even manages to make a TheBadGuyWins example out of this by defeating all the other villains and heroes alike.]]
* BigOlEyebrows: He has rather thick eyebrows which oddly, are black instead of red.

* ChildProdigy: He's about the same age as the monks. He may be immature but is also a brilliant inventor and engineer. He is never seen going to school but given his IQ, it is very likely he skipped a couple of grades.

* EvilRedhead: One that is voiced by an also redhead voice actor, who has voiced other evil redhead characters as well (such as Montana Max).

* {{Goth}}: Stated to be a wannabe goth.

* CatchphraseInsult: He's got two for Jack. Chase always calls him a worm and an insect.

* WeWantOurJerkBack: The reaction of the Xiaolin Monks whenever he turns good via the Ying Yang World, because Good!Jack TastesLikeDiabetes so much that they like him even less than they do when he's normal.

* BadassOnPaper: Despite being the laughing stock of the Heylin side, he still has a fairly impressive bad guy rapsheet.

* BroughtDownToBadass: In later seasons Wuya may not be a PhysicalGoddess anymore, but she makes it up with superior martial arts skills, experience, and her own wits, allowing her to defeat the monks easily in spite of her weakened state.

* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: As revealed in "The Demon Seed", Jack is seen as a laughingstock by the villain and evildoer community, especially on Internet chatrooms. It rises to the point he's made a pop culture icon of ridicule in the villain community as a StrawLoser figure much to his intense chagrin.

* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: As a kid, he wanted Knife throwing lessons, but his mother took him for figure skating lessons, he invented a robot out of her juicer as a result. As a teen, he aims for world domination with his army of Jack Bots at his command...and yet he also uses winter sports as a Surprise Skill.

* WeWantOurJerkBack: The reaction of the Xiaolin Monks whenever he turns good via the Ying Yang World, because Good!Jack tastes like diabetes so much that they like him even less than they do when he's normal.

* UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist: Mostly averted. He actually is an antagonist for most of the series and is the Monk's main rival. However, he delivers alot of the shows funniest lines and is actually rather a sympathetic villain because he constantly fails and yet keeps going.

* TattooedCrook: Has a black tattoo under his left eye. Although he still keeps it when he's good.

* {{Fanboy}}: He acts like a huge fanboy to Chase Young and Hannibal Bean.

* HatedByAll: Nearly nobody in the show likes him or treats him with respect. The other villains consider him to be a pathetic joke and while he does have the chance to make several alliances throughout the show (his two alliances with Wuya when she was a ghost being the ones that lasted the longest), almost all the alliances end with him [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder being betrayed]]. The heroes don't like him any better, being on opposite sides and all, but while Omi is eager to give him a chance at redemption, even he engages in bullying Jack when the other monks do the same. And then there's Good Jack, who they consider even more annoying than the regular one

* HeroWorshipper: Or more accurately, villain worshipper. He worships Chase for being “an evildoer’s evildoer” and the greatest villain in history. He also idolizes Hannibal Bean.

** In the past, when he was partners with Hannibal Bean, he banished Hannibal to the Yin-Yang World so he could rule the world alone.

* SealedEvilInACan: He was trapped in the Ying Yang World by Chase until he tricked the monks into freeing him.

* SlasherSmile: His default expression, complete with BritishTeeth.

** In ''Saving Omi'', Tubbimura, Katnappe, Vlad, and Cyclops all join Chase as his minions. After he steals Omi’s powers and becoming a RealityWarper, the next episode begins with him launching them all out of a catapult, one at a time.
** In ''Oil in the Family'', Jack tells Chase that Wuya is planning to betray him and makes a deal with Chase to help him track Wuya down in exchange for giving him back the Rio Reverso, a Shen Gong Wu that Wuya stole from Jack. After Jack holds up his end of the deal, Chase throws Jack in front of a hungry T-Rex Wuya created with the Rio Reverso and leaves him to be eaten.

** It really ticks him off when someone betrays him, despite being an evil manipulator himself.

* VillainousFriendship: He gets along pretty well with Wuya. In Hannibal’s Revenge, he also briefly flirts with her.

* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Jack going good happens at least once a season. Some times it's out of a genuine desire to change, and sometimes it's the result of HeelFaceBrainwashing.

* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Betrays almost everybody she works with on a regular basis, repeatedly. [[spoiler:Except Raimundo, and that does not end well for her]].

* ShowingOffTheNewBody: She loves to flaunt her slender frame. The following physical tropes apply only when Wuya is human:
