* BringHelpBack: He was sent ahead by his people to find Apocalypse in the hopes that he had raised an army of mutants that could come to Arakko's aid. Luckily for him, he happened to arrive just after the founding of the mutant nation of Krakoa.
* LanguageBarrier: When he first meets Cyclops, Cable, and Prestige they cannot understand each other, which quickly leads to a few misunderstandings, a grenade explosion, and a fight. Prestige telepathically implants knowledge of English into Summoner's mind to resolve the situation, although he states speaking in English sounds like grunting in pain in comparison to his singing native tongue.
* MrExposition: In issue 12 of ''ComicBook/JonathanHickmansXMen'', Summoner tells the tale of Arakko and its mutant population's exile to and existence in the dimension of Amenth.
* NoNameGiven: His true name has yet to be given, with people simply calling him Summoner so far based on his title.
* NoNudityTaboo: The guy walks around naked without a care in the world.
* NighInvulnerability: Survives a an explosion from a grenade he was holding in his hand without a scratch. It was later revealed that his mutant power is that he cannot be hurt.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: He was born three hundred years ago, but looks like a young adult man.
* SummonMagic: As a High Summoner, he has learned to tap into the dark magics of Amenth and bring forth a horde of elementals and three daemons at a time.
