Maxine is a male-to-female transgender woman sentenced to three years at Wentworth for stabbing her boyfriend. [[{{Jerkass}} She had good reason, mind you]]. After finding her feet and standing up to the more judgmental officers / inmates, Maxine becomes an accepted member of the prison and frequently serves as both Bea's henchwoman and conscience.
