But all that aside, he seems to be a legitimately caring creature. Before the mission, he used to be a harvester, and would share the fruit with anyone he considered to be in need, and he protected and raised Kaylee for 8 years, and she was perfectly healthy when first detected by Zone-B. No wounds besides the tiny scrapes on her knees from the pavement she rests on to garden, no signs of hunger; she is by all accounts happy and a normal child, even speaking perfect English.

In other discriptions he seems to have provided the protagonists with helpful info, so it's assumed that he joined them after being impressed about their fight. (Although the description does mention how he's always seemed hesitant about the Vani's mission)

(As far as we know) It can't communicate, attacks whatever's around it, and even its eyes are described as 'large and emotionless'.

She is a brute sadist who likes to overpower others and torture them. She is also extremely egotistical and seeks ultimate power, but denies her fear of other beings.
