* MagicalGirl: Zig-Zagged. Instead of a girl with magic powers, Katrina was a girl that came from an extremely wealthy family with parents who would throw money her way so she wouldn't bother them. She used anime, and especially the magical girl genre as a form of escapism, and that helped Deneko be able to convince her she was a hero and what they were doing was for the best.

Before everything went down, he was a forager who'd harvest fruit and vegetables from an extremely dangerous agricultural forest that would then be sent to his main city. Now, however, he's residing in a remote garden located on the edges of the Florida Everglades with Kaylee Tagetes, his tether whom he abducted while she was young, the two of them creating an army of [[BotanicalAbomination botanical abominations]] known as Faunaflora to wipe out southern and easterned United States. He ends up being the first Vani Null fights in the series, appearing the main antagonist of Perennial Crisis.

The glass Vani.

to:

The glass Vani.Vani of the Earth invasion team. A kind, protective Vani who took care of orphans during the pre-Brandshock days, Kalkori almost found herself another victim of Vauluktreal. She survived, but the whole ordeal left her so traumatized that she [[DeathOfPersonality broke]]. It now resides in an unknown area of Earth, attacking whatever comes into its sight.

* LivingWeapon: Kalkori was 'broken' due to the trauma endured after nearly being swallowed by Vauluktreal, and even to Vani, it's more like a living weapon than one of them, due to its ability being broken, but still functional...just not as intended. (As far as we know) It can't communicate, mindlessly attacks whatever's around it, and even its eyes are described as 'large and emotionless'.
* LampreyMouth: Kalkori has an interesting mouth. It's mouth IS it's neck, and it can retract it's jaw inward, much like a nutcracker, revealing it's dozens of rows of long, sharp teeth that line the inside of its mouth, and the rows of rotating teeth (like an inverse sawblade) around & leading into it's esophagus. Best part? It's weak spot is one of those spinning teeth rows!

to:

* EmptyShell: Like with other victims of breaking, this it what became of it.
* ItIsDehumanizing: Everyone started referring to Kalkori with it/its pronouns after it broke. Justified; Vani have NoBiologicalSex, and simply took up human pronouns to adapt to their surroundings better. Andiven how breaking erases a Vani's personality, there essentially is no "person" in Kalkori anymore.

The water Vani.

to:

The water Vani.Vani of the Earth invasion team. Due to her legs being broken by Insinera long ago, she is largely unable to fulfil her team's mission. So, she takes up residence in the cavern of a deserted island off the coast of Brazil, kidnaps her tether, Ágata's parents, and forces her to do her bidding under a promise of returning them to her once the job is done.

Her main role comes in ''Sleeping with the Fishes'', where she's the main antagonist.

Removed the Ambiguous Situation trope from Ventrava's section because I began to realize that it's probably more of an example of Alternative Character Interpretation than anything.

* AmbiguousSituation: Was Ventrava a DeathSeeker looking for Vau so he wouldn't have to face his dillema? His dialogue seems to suggest he was just looking for a quiet place to contemplate, but at the same time, he doesn't seem fazed when one of his teammates springs up from the lake and pulls him in. It doesn't help that he ''embraces'' his fate, deeming it a fitting punishment for being unable to bring himself to kill.

The alarm Vani of the Earth invasion team. Due to a condition she gained at a young age, she [[TerribleTicking constantly hears loud noises]] that overpower every other sound around her. Her solution to this was to scream to counter the noises, but that only led to her ears bleeding, and eventually her hands becoming affixed to her ears when the blood hardened. When she tried to pry them free, she instead ended up tearing her arms off her sockets, which is how she gained her rather unique appearance. It is unknown has she became apart of Vauluktreal.\\\

While she doesn't appear in any songs thus far, she has her own battle theme called ''Cacophony Within Arm's Reach''.
----
* CastFromHitPoints: Brayziel's screaming is extremely powerful, but it also tends to cause her physical pain. It often gets painful to the point where her body, particularly her ears, starts to bleed.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: When she was young, she was caught up in the middle of a Kval raid and got struck by some Kval shrapnel, which in turn led to her getting a condition known as Alarm ESP. She's never known peace since then, and her efforts to alleviate her condition ultimately just led her hands getting stuck to ears and her arms torn off.
* ADayInTheLimelight: The comic [[https://the-forever-ocean.fandom.com/wiki/The_Source_of_Brayziel%27s_Hearing_Issue ''The Source of Brayziel's Hearing Issue'']] is entirely focused on her dark past mentioned above.
* DeathSeeker: There was time in her life pre-Brandshock where she fought in the arena as a Ferality, or Vani self-deemed insane or a freak and allowed themselves to be killed in combat. She'd later quit the act thanks to Pypilawa, however.
* MakeMeWannaShout: Her primary method of attack is to scream extremely loudly. Deconstructed, as it causes her extreme pain.

The flesh Vani of the Earth team. He was a beloved doctor prior to the Brandshock, something that led to him forming an identity crisis in more current times. He would ultimately meet his fate as one of the Submerged 17 when he went to a quiet place to clear his mind.

----
* AmbiguousSituation: Was Ventrava a DeathSeeker looking for Vau so he wouldn't have to face his dillema? His dialogue seems to suggest he was just looking for a quiet place to contemplate, but at the same time, he doesn't seem fazed when one of his teammates springs up from the lake and pulls him in. It doesn't help that he ''embraces'' his fate, deeming it a fitting punishment for being unable to bring himself to kill.
* ADayInTheLimelight: The comic [[https://the-forever-ocean.fandom.com/wiki/Ventrava%27s_Mindset ''Ventrava's Mindset'']] is one for him. It's dedicated entirely to exploring his character and well, mindset, as well as how he was engulfed by Vauluktreal.
* DeadpanSnarker: He tends to fall into territory whenever someone especially gets on his nerves.

The tether of Zatakva. After being rendered stranded on an island off the coast of Brazil, she is forced into killing specific targets by Zatakva under the promise that she'll be reunited with her parents after 1,000 kills. She's one of the main stars of Sleeping with the Fishes.

Back at adding tropes to this page. Main focus this time was the main cast.

Target is the primary star of MacGuffin in the Limelight.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: He faced a lot of bullying when he was young.

* PowerIncontinence: He has his moments where he is unable to control his transformations, usually when he's stressed.

* GentleGiant: Zig-zagged. He's over 7 feet tall, one of the nicer Vani out there, and is one of the few to outright be against the genocide mission. That doesn't he won't kick your ass if it's necessary, though. He's also on the shorter end of the scale compared to his fellow Vani.

* MultiArmedAndDangerous: He has four arms.

* VitriolicBestBuds: He and Charlotte argue a lot, him mostly being on the receiving end of things. Despite this, they do care about each other and are described as being "rather attached to the hip".

* BrainTheft: The first portion of his attack was partially done to gather brains, which he needed to power his ultimate weapon...
