They focus on mobility, practicality, and one's inner strength in order to survive... to a fault as everyone is essentially conscripted, there is no social mobility and there is zero tolerance for self expression, only service and all encompassing conformity to the Tarak ideal. Underneath the veneer they suffer from implied nepotism and elitism with false bravado used to throw expendable low rank troops with cheap mass produced weapons into the meat grinder against Mejere.

* BoringButPractical: Their main Vanguard units aren't much and have no ranged weapons due to the Taraks' low technology, but they have really useful features and various different melee weapons. Unlike the fighter-like Dreads, they can be operate in both planet AND space operations.
* CloningBlues: They're reproduced through cloning using two different men at a time.

* KineticWeaponsAreJustBetter: They use standard conventional weapons in contrast to women's lasers, but they're effective by their own right, [[spoiler:especially against the Harvesters.]] They're also quite versatile, being able to operate in different terrains.

The world of women, coming from a lush world full of CrystalSpiresAndTogas. They have a very technologically advanced world with a culture the polar opposite of the men. Their reproduction methods are the same as normal humans except having to merge two eggs cells together artificially. However, due to excessive waste of resources and hyper-competitive inner-conflict among themselves, it became the growing hub for SpacePirates that attack both sides. Under the veneer, there is no end to the casualties caused by the elite's political meneuverings against each other and the resource heavy consumption, with the government and its army being no less ruthless and militeristic than Tarak.

* AwesomeButImpractical: Mejere weapons are cool and shiny, but they're very useless on certain occasions. For example, the Dreads are unable to do planetary operations the way their Vanguard counterparts can and were basically fighter units.
* BeautyEqualsGoodness: Played with. Beauty is everything to the Mejere and they're willing to fight over one another for it.
* CivilWar: Downplayed. Unlike Tarak, the women are more prone to fighting each other to be the best. There are also the SpacePirates.
* CloningBlues: Like the Taraks despite keeping the same reproduction methods.
* CombatPragmatist: To cover for their AwesomeButImpractical features, they use underhanded tactics.
