John Keeler’s inept and cowardly vice president, who is forced to step up when Keeler is taken out of commission. He was revealed to be the BigBad in the fifth season, being involved in the day's events such as the assassination of David Palmer. Even after Jack and co. exposed him, Logan would return to cause more trouble in Day 8, again as one of the primary antagonists. He is not a fan of Jack Bauer and tried to have him killed numerous times.

* ArchEnemy: To Jack Bauer. He and [[TheMole Nina Myers]] share this role for the series. Though Logan appears more frequently and is the actual BigBad. It's taken UpToEleven in the SeriesFinale, when Logan shows just how much he HATES Jack Bauer by [[DrivenToSuicide trying to commit suicide]] [[TakingYouWithMe just to make sure Jack Bauer dies along with him]]. Of course this final act fails as both survive, though [[FateWorseThanDeath Logan probably wished he hadn't]].

* BadBoss: To both Mooks and innocents. He's PresidentEvil, after all

* BeardOfEvil: Inverted; he has a beard in Season 6, the only season where he's truly one of the good guys, and is clean-shaven in all his other appearances.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Probably one of the biggest examples in the series.
* BigBad: Repeatedly. Probably the closest to an overall series BigBad given his aforementioned ArchEnemy status and the fact he's the most reoccuring both episode and season wise.
** BigBadDuumvirate: With Yuri Suvarov in Day 8. He was also involved in a BigBad Triumvirate with Phillip Bauer and Alan Wilson that spanned over multiple seasons.
** BiggerBad: TheReveal of Logan being the BigBad of Day 5 heavily implies he was this in Day 4, as the events of that season lead to Logan becoming PresidentEvil in the first place.
* BreakoutVillain: Logan at first merely seemed like a [[DirtyCoward cowardly]] President Buffoon, only to be revealed as PresidentEvil and the BigBad of Day 5. He became arguably the most popular and most well-known villain from the show, and became one of the series primary antagonists, and he even [[HijackedByGanon hijacked the final season]].
* DrivenToSuicide: in the series finale, although it was mentioned that paramedics might be able to save him, he would at best have permanent brain damage.
* TheCorrupter: He's directly [[CorruptTheCutie responsible]] for luring President Taylor into abandoning her ideals, for a plot that he hoped would end with himself looking like a hero. His actions throughout the series also indirectly contributed to the [[FaceHeelTurn Face Heel Turns]] of Tony and Jack and he's possibly responsible for Suvarov's as well by allowing his failed assassination to be carried out in Day 5. One way or another this man truly does bring out the worst in everybody.
* FinalBoss: Of the series. He [[HijackedByGanon hijacked the final seasons' conspiracy]] by using blackmail and manipulation to get both the US and Russian presidents to do his bidding, which was to sign the treaty despite it being useless solely to be viewed as a hero again as well as once again rise to power, as well as kill his ArchEnemy Jack Bauer once and for all. And in the series finale, after the conspiracy is exposed and the former plan is foiled, Logan suffers a MASSIVE VillainousBreakdown, and tries to commit suicide in order to ensure that the latter plan succeeded (it of course doesn't, and neither does Logan's suicide). After Logan's final plan is thwarted and he is implied to have become a vegetable as a result, we get the ending sequence to the series.
** He was also this in season 5 earlier. It was even invoked as Logan's co-conspirators were either killed or otherwise exited the season just before the final episode where Jack and Logan have their confrontation.
* HijackedByGanon: He is the one responsible for the cover-up conspiracy that forces Jack to go on his bloodthirsty rampage
* JokerImmunity: Interesting variation as it wasn't due to him being a [[BigBad major villain]], but him being the President which had him survive season 5, only being exposed and arrested, though it was played straight since he only got house arrest, leading to him being able to appear in season six.
