Added DiffLines:

* ManipulativeBastard: Has shades of this. Regardless of Warlow's claims to Sookie that he was trying to protect her from her parents, the fact is that he intended to take her as a child and groom her into becoming his faerie bride. The only reason that doesn't happen is because Claudine intervenes and banishes him to another realm. When he comes back 20 years later, one of his first acts is to kill all of the faeries at Hot Wings so they won't interfere with his plans for Sookie. He also gets rid of Jason and Niall by glamourning Jason to stay away from Sookie and throwing Niall into the same dimension he was once banished to. All of this so he can have Sookie for himself.

* EntitledToHaveYou: Big Time. His entire reason for coming after Sookie is because of a contract from 300 years ago which states that the next living female fae will become his bride. And while he's willing to play nice with Sookie in the beginning, it becomes clear later on that he really doesn't care for her consent and pretty much sees Sookie as his damaged pet.

* DeathSeeker: All maenads.
* EmotionControl: Aside from feeding on them.
* EmotionEater: She fed on strong displays of emotions like anger, desire, hunger and et cetera.
* TheFundamentalist: She takes her devotion to Dionysus ''very seriously''
* HairTriggerTemper: After her parties, she tends to get pretty bitchy and irritable.
* TheHedonist: Her entire philosophy of life is based around immediate gratification, usually in a pretty depraved way.
* [[HoistByHisOwnPetard Hoist By Her Own Petard]]: Her blind faith in her religion led to her death.
* HumanoidAbomination: Possibly. According to Daphne, Maryann has been alive as long as there's been an Earth to walk on and has been known, or may be the same, as the Biblical demon Lilith, who brought forth all evil into the world. Others have known her as the ancient goddesses Gaia and Isis. And we know that her black blood is poisonous to vampires and she is resistant to nearly all normal and supernatural means of attack (i.e. bullets, vampires, Sookie's powers).
* ImAHumanitarian: She cooks human ingredients into her food - especially hearts.

[[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain She might even have been racially profiling...]]
* ShoutOut: In the first episode of Season 2, Maryann explains to Tara and Eggs a painting that depicts the god Pan mating with a human mistress. This is likely a ShoutOut to Creator/ArthurMachen's horror novella ''Literature/TheGreatGodPan'', where the outwardly beautiful and charming villainess Helen Vaughan is revealed to be a HumanoidAbomination, namely a daughter of the god Pan and a human woman. It feels safe to say that the character of Maryann Forrester takes a good deal of inspiration from Helen Vaughan.

->''"Feeling sorry for things is just an excuse not to celebrate your own happiness."''

A wealthy maenad, who initially presents herself as a social worker. Drawn to Bon Temps due to the potent energy she attributes to a ritual performed by a faux voodoo doctor, she takes an interest in Tara and has Tara move in with her. She is devoted to Dionysus and intends to find a suitable supernatural creature to kill in his honor, hoping to bring him to earth once again.

* AffablyEvil
* AlienBlood: Because she's not even remotely human.
* BigBad: of Season 2.
* BigEater: Even though she didn't need to feed on normal food she would consume copious amount of tropical fruit and other delicacies.
* BitchInSheepsClothing
* BlackBlood: Oh yes, she definitely has black blood.
* BloodyMurder: She didn't use it as a weapon, but her black blood was highly poisonous to vampires (and probably to humans too).
** It's suggested that it is solely through the power of her belief.
* {{Bridezilla}}
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: To those who don't know what she really is.
* DeathByIrony
* DeathSeeker: All maenads.
* TheHedonist
* [[HeyItsThatGuy Hey It's That Girl!]]: Nice to see you [[Series/BattlestarGalacticaReimagined Admiral Cain]].
** Also known for playing [[Characters/StarTrekTheNextGeneration Ro Laren]] on Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration.
* ImAHumanitarian
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: By one of Sam's horns.
* ALoadOfBull: She worshipped the Horned God and she would also wear a bull mask during rituals, making her look like a minotaur.
* ManipulativeBitch
* MrsRobinson: Being an [[TheHedonist hedonist]] she, probably, doesn't limit herself to young males, but did "deflower" Sam when he was 17. He was a bit scared of her though.
* MsFanservice
* [[OminousLatinChanting Ominous Greek Chanting]]
* APartyAlsoKnownAsAnOrgy: She specialized in hosting this kind of parties.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Her age is never addressed, but all Maenads are ancient. If [[UnreliableNarrator Daphne]]]] is to be believed she has been alive for as long as there was an Earth to walk on. The only thing we know for sure is that she's really OlderThanSheLooks.
* ReligionOfEvil: Leads one.
* ShipperOnDeck: She seems to be dangerously on deck for Tara x Eggs. She practically forces them to be together and loves seeing them as a pair. [[{{Squick}} Oh, and she also made them have rough sex.]]
** A popular theory is that her real reason for taking Tara in was seeking out a mate for Eggs. [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain She might even have been racially profiling..]]
* SupremeChef: Either Tara and Eggs were high on her EmotionControl or her Hunter's Souffle was heavenly exquisite.
* TooKinkyToTorture
* VillainsOutShopping
* VoiceOfTheLegion: When she calls upon the powers of Bacchus.
* WhoWantsToLiveForever
