!!Thunderwing
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/primethunderwing_2345.png]]
Thunderwing was created by Unicron many eons ago to serve as his [[MythologyGag 'Herald']] and destroy the Matrix of Leadership. At some point Thunderwing was encased in a meteor made almost entirely out of Dark Energon and fell into a deep sleep. Thunderwing appears in the non-canon ''Transformers Prime'' video game.

* [[spoiler:AttackItsWeakPoint: A small opening in his chest was exploited by Ratchet to take him down. After he was weakened, Optimus was able to destroy the reactors within Thunderwing's shoulders.]]
* [[AttackOfThe50FootWhatever Attack of the 50-Foot Alien Robot]]
* TheDragon: In that he is utterly loyal to Unicron.
* EliteMook: Unicron's only herald, at least in this continuity anyway.
* TheJuggernaut
* KnightOfCerebus: For the video game he stars in.
* MightyGlacier
* NotQuiteDead: He was essentially ''dead'' when Optimus first encountered him, before incoming fire form the Decepticons jostled him back to consciousness.
* OneManArmy
* TerseTalker: When he speaks, it's only to get straight to the heart of the point.
* UndyingLoyalty: His loyalty to his master and creator is unquestionable.

[[/folder]]

[[folder: Toy-line Characters]]

As Transformers is a MerchandiseDriven series, Prime of course has a number of characters exclusive to toy-lines and secondary media.

!!Autobots

!!Hot Shot
[[quoteright:250:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hotshot_567.png]]
A young Autobot with enthusiasm and speed to spare, Hot Shot is constantly rushing off into dangerous situations. Though he has a lot of potential, he often has to be rescued by others and has a lot to learn before he can become a leader.

* CompositeCharacter: A unique case, in that he's a composite of two versions of the ''same person.'' Hot Shot's design is based on the character from ''TransformersArmada'', but his colors are derived from the body he had during ''TransformersCybertron''.
** He may also be [[TransformersAlignedUniverse this continuity's]] version of [[TransformersGeneration1 Hot Rod]], as he shares a name with an Autobot based on him in the Nintendo DS version of ''TransformersWarForCybertron''.
* CoolCar: Same alternate mode as Bumblebee's, but blue and with slick flame decals.
* GogglesDoNothing: He has a pair of flip-down robo-goggles; these are another trait carried over from his ''Armada'' incarnation.
* KidAppealCharacter: Much like his [[TransformersArmada previous incarnation]]. This time, he's a ''remold'' of Bumblebee, the show's Kid Appeal Character.

!!Kup
[[quoteright:292:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kup_207.png]]
An old Autobot who always seems to have advice for the youngsters. Not even the worst of situations will keep him from dispensing his wisdom, even if it means getting through a firefight. As such, many young Autobots have come to believe he's immune to laser fire.

* {{BFG}}: Both of his cannons can combine into a larger weapon.
* [[CoolCar Cool Truck]]
* CoolOldGuy
* DrillSergeantNasty: His toy's official moniker is "Sergeant Kup", so he's this at least in title form.
* MemeticBadass: In-universe; new recruits believe that he's immune to laser fire.
* PaletteSwap: His toy uses the same mold Ironhide.
* SequelFirst: A stragne toy-based variation. Kup's mold was obviously intended to be Ironhide from the get go, but he only got released in the US as Kup. Kup's toy even hit shelves in America ''before'' Ironhide's toy did in the Japanese line. For more details, see Ironhide's entry below.
* TheUnfettered

!!Ironhide
[[quoteright:234:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ironhide_944.png]]
Ironhide is the kind of guy whose always ready for a fight. As tough and hard-edged as they come, Ironhide has made his name by blasting Decepticon after Decepticon to pieces. Of course, this may be partly due to the fact that his armor is impervious to laser fire.

* {{BFG}}: His Cyberverse toy's cannons can combine into one. Ironhide's deluxe-sized toy ''would'' share this trait with Kup, but due to being released in the "Arms Micron" line, he only comes with his partner Iro, who combines into a single cannon.
* CompositeCharacter: His appearance is based on his [[TransformersGeneration1 ''Generation 1'' counterpart]], but he wields two cannons similar to the [[TransformersFilmSeries live-action movie version]] of the character.
* [[CoolCar Cool Truck]]
* GunNut
* MadeOfIron
* NoExportForYou: His deluxe toy was only released as Ironhide in Japan as part of the "Arms Micron" toy-line, despite the fact that it was designed for him in the first place. At this point, the toy has only seen release in Western markets as Kup.
* TriggerHappy
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Ironhide was originally going to be a member of Team Prime instead of Bulkhead, but was replaced half-way through. At first [[LyingCreator it was claimed]] that hew as dropped due to the character turning out more similar to Bulkhead than Ironhide, [[spoiler: but in reality, it was done in order to keep from confusing children who would have recently seen Ironhide perish in ''[[TransformersFilmSeries Dark of the Moon]]''.]]

!!Fallback
[[quoteright:244:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fallback_7869.png]]
Before the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, Fallback sought out new worlds for Cybertronians to colonize. Now, he puts those same talents towards locating planets of strategic importance to the Autobots, while also determining how best to use their resources and environment in the struggle against the Decepticons.

* BoldExplorer
* NonActionGuy: His bio makes no mention of participating in any actual battles, just that he spends his time seeking out new worlds and determining their worth to the war effort.
* PaletteSwap: He's a redeco of Breakdown's ''Cyberverse'' toy, only as an Autobot.
* UnfortunateNames: The name "Fallback" doesn't speak well towards his usefulness in battle...

!!Ultra Magnus
[[quoteright:258:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/magnus_6611.png]]
The leader of the Wreckers, Ultra Magnus has quite the reputation among the Decepticons... for being as tough and hard-to-defeat as Optimus Prime himself. Wielding a mighty battle hammer, there's no battlefield he's stepped on that he hasn't walked away from the victor. Ultra Magnus appears in the ''Rage of the Dinobots'' prequel comic by IDW Publishing.

* AdvertisedExtra: For a non-show character, Ultra Magnus has a relatively large amount of toys. This includes his main-line and ''Cyberverse'' toys, with two more on the way courtesy of the ''Beast Hunters'' toy-line and the exclusive ''Generations Platinum Series''. It almost makes you wonder...
* ArmCannon[=/=]GatlingGood: Depicted with this sort of weapon in the comics.
* BadassInDistress: In ''Rage of the Dinobots'', Ultra Magnus's craft is shot down and he himself is taken captive by Shockwave's minions. It's up to the Dinobots to rescue him.
* BigGood: The ''leader'' of the Wreckers, folks.
* BifurcatedWeapon: Both of his Western toys' weapons can convert from a hammer to a blaster; in the "Arms Micron" line, his Micron partner simply turns into a hammer.
* CompositeCharacter: This version of Magnus draws from both the ''Generation 1'' and ''[[TransformersAnimated Animated]]'' versions of the character.
* TheDreaded: Both of his bios point out that he's this towards the Decepticons.
* DropTheHammer: The weapons all of his toys come with; newer ones and an alternate cover for ''Rage of the Dinobots'' depict him wielding the ''Forge of Solus Prime''.
* LanternJawOfJustice
* OneManArmy

!!Swerve
Swerve is a geologist, spending most of his time alone, scouting out new Energon deposits and reporting them back to the base. As such, he's lost in his thoughts a lot... which can be pretty dangerous, as he tends to let his mind wander in traffic. Nevertheless, he's a brilliant scientist.

Swerve is also one of the few Cybertronians aware of the existence of the Arms Microns, and has since promised to protect their secret. He's joined in his travels by his own Micron, Sou, who keeps him company in his lonely travels. [[note]]As the Arms Microns only exist in the Japanese version of Prime, take this as you will.[[/note]]

* AttentionDeficitOohShiny
* [[ChainSawGood Circular Saw Good]]: What Suo turns into, and thus his main weapon.
* DrivesLikeCrazy
* LonersAreFreaks: Averted. His being alone is a boon to the Autobots, as far as his bio goes.
* NoExportForYou: He's based on the Breakdown mold, which is currently exclusive to Japan.
* SecretKeeper

!!Leo Prime
[[quoteright:250:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/leoprime_3732.png]]
A Cybertronian from [[BeastWarsII another dimension]], Leo Prime sensed the awakening of Unicron in this reality and came to assist in stopping him. However, once he arrived, he discovered that Unicron had already been dealt with by the Autobots and Decepticons. Nevertheless, he has elected to remain in this dimension and observe the conflict, remaining on the sidelines and waiting to see if Unicron would ever reawaken.

* CoolSword: His sword draws power directly from his Energon Matrix. Oh, and it's also an [[LivingWeapon Arms Micron]]. In one Asian-exclusive bio, he uses the sword to carve a set of armor out of one of Unicron's avatars, severing its connection to the big guy in the process.
* DimensionalTraveller
* MythologyGag: His Arms Micron, L.P., is based on Moon, the PluckyComicRelief from ''BeastWarsII''.
* NonActionGuy: As stated, he's staying out of the Autobot and Decepticon war and is just waiting to see if Unicron will wake up again.
* NoExportForYou: It goes two ways. Leo Prime is a Japanese exclusive redeco of Thundertron (see below), and he's the only Japanese use of the Thundertron mold, meaning Japanese fans get him instead of the character he was originally designed to be.
* PantheraAwesome
* PaletteSwap: Of Thundertron. Again, see below.
* ShoutOut: As in the series he comes from, Leo's color-scheme is an homage to ''KimbaTheWhiteLion''.
* TookALevelInBadass: His bio states that after the events of ''BeastWarsNeo'', Leo Prime ascended to the rank of "Grand Convoy"; that is, the leader of ''all'' the Maximals.
* {{Transplant}}: Leo Prime isn't a {{Expy}} of the Lio Convoy from ''BeastWarsII'', he's the actual character, having transported himself to the ''Transfomers Prime'' universe from the Japanese ''BeastWars'' timeline.
* WeirdBeard

!!Decepticons

!!Dead End
[[quoteright:215:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/deadend_4825.png]]
Dead End used to be a talkative mercenary, but long-time exposure to Dark Energon has significantly affected his state of mind. Now, he broods silently, hungering for the power cores of those around him. Whereas before only Autobots were scared of him, now Dead End even freaks out his fellow ''Decepticons''.

* BrightIsNotGood: His color-scheme invokes hazard warnings.
* CoolCar
* CompositeCharacter: Dead End's bio combines his ''[[TransformersGeneration1 Generation 1 counterpart's]]'' brooding personality with the [[TransformersFilmSeries movieverse's]] psychotic vampire-bot.
* TheCorruption: Dead End's been on the receiving end of it.
* DualWielding: Being a remold of Wheeljack, he carries two swords.
* HiredGuns
* ImAHumanitarian: As shown by his hunger for the power cores of his fellow mechanoids.
* LaserBlade: His packaging calls out both of his toy's swords as this.
* LonersAreFreaks: Literally, in this case.

!!Flamewar
[[quoteright:200:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/flamewar_2641.png]]
Airachnid isn't the only female Decepticon eager to get her hooks into Arcee. However, whereas Airachnid is merely content to torment her rival when the opportunity arises, Flamewar is downright ''obsessed''. She's been planning for their final battle for years, studying every one of Arcee's moves and devising a way to counter them. Though she remains loyal to Megatron, Flamewar's every move is calculated to draw Arcee tighter into her web of intrigue.

* CanonImmigrant: Based on the convention-exclusive character, Flamewar, who was a redeco of a [[TransformersEnergon different series' version of Arcee]].
* CoolBike
* MythologyGag: Her packaging calls her weapon a "friction rifle", which was the weapon of Runamuck from the original cartoon series.
* PaletteSwap: Of Arcee.
* StalkerWithACrush: Her bio ''really'' makes her veer into this territory, with a healthy dash of FoeYay. Flamewar really wants to see Arcee dead.

!!Skywarp
[[quoteright:250:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/skywarp_5538.png]]
Skywarp may look just like Starscream, but unlike his counterpart, he has no designs on Megatron's position. Rather, Skywarp prefers to remain in the shadows, using his teleportation ability and ninja-like cunning in order to menace the Autobots. He's also rather mischievous.

* CoolPlane
* InstantAwesomeJustAddNinjas: His bio makes him out to be one, ''and'' one of his Arms Micron's weapon modes is a FuumaShuriken.
* PaletteSwap: Just as is the case with ''most'' incarnations of Skywarp, he's a redeco of Starscream's "First Edition" toy, albeit with added Arms Micron functionality and missile pods on his wings.
* TeleportersAndTransporters
* ThisIsADrill: His Arms Micron's ''other'' weapon mode.
* TookALevelInDumbass: ''Inverted.'' While most incarnations of Skywarp are generally idiots, ''this'' version of Skywarp is actually rather intelligent, possessing a rather high intelligence stat and specifically mentioned as being rather cunning.
* TheTrickster

!!Thundercracker
[[quoteright:211:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thundercracker_5298.png]]
Unlike the power-hungry Starscream and the mischievous Skywarp, Thundercracker would best be described as a mild-mannered intellectual. Though he is capable of producing sonic booms at will, he would rather be in his laboratory than on the battlefield. Thundercracker is often troubled by the actions of Decepticons like Megatron and Shockwave, but he nonetheless gives his all for the Decepticon cause.

* AntiVillain: To a degree; like his [[TransformersGeneration1 Generation 1 counterpart]], Thundercracker isn't always happy with the actions of his fellow Decepticons.
* CoolPlane
* LoudOfWar
* NonActionGuy
* PaletteSwap: Uses the same version of the "First Edition" Starscream mold as Skywarp.
* ThisIsADrill: His Arms Micron is basically the same as Skywarp's, meaning it also doubles as a FuumaShuriken.
* TheSmartGuy

!!Rumble
[[quoteright:234:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rumble2_1776.png]]
[[caption-width-right:250:Rumble is Blue, and... Rumble is Red?]]
Rumble isn't a complicated robot. He lives for causing mayhem and mischief, using his pile drivers to cause destructive earthquakes. They're pretty powerful too; strong enough to open chasms, wreck Autobots, and bring down entire buildings. He is one of Soundwave's subordinates, and is often found working with his brother, Frenzy.

* BashBrothers: With Frenzy.
* CoolCar
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: In ''[[TransformersGeneration1 Generation 1]]'', Rumble and his counterpart Frenzy were InexplicablyIdenticalIndividuals. However, for ''Prime'', he was given his own head design, with a ''Generation 1'' inspired alternate head presumably intended for a Frenzy release later on.
** Averted in the "Arms Micron" line, however, where both Frenzy and Rumble are used with the alternate head, making them identical [[PaletteSwap Palette Swaps]] of one another again.
* EarthquakeMachine
* FlipFlopOfGod: The western release makes him blue, while the Japanese release makes him red. And thus "FIRRIB"[=/=]"RIRFIB" is preserved for a new generation.
* MythologyGag: His chest and torso are meant to evoke the cassette tape spools of his ''Generation 1'' counterpart. However, to most fans, they end up looking like 'eyes' and a face, making some compare him to the Gunmen of ''[[TengenToppaGurrenLagann Gurren Lagann]]''.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Referred to as such in his Arms Micron biography.

!!Frenzy
[[quoteright:288:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/frenzy_6996.png]]
[[caption-width-right:288:Frenzy, however, is just blue!]]
Rumble's brother, who also works under Soundwave. In contrast to his superior officer, Frenzy is talkative and cheeky. Furthermore, Frenzy tends to fly into a rage whenever someone mistakes him for his brother, Rumble. He can use his weapons to create high-frequency soundwaves that disrupt enemy circuitry. He often undertakes operations with Rumble and Laserbeak.

* BerserkButton: Being confused for Rumble.
* BrattyHalfpint
* CoolCar
* HairTriggerTemper
* LoudOfWar
* MistakenIdentity: His biography mentions he's often mistaken for Rumble. This could be considered LampshadeHanging on the FlipFlopOfGod and "FIRRIB[=/=]RIRFIB" matter mentioned above.
* MotorMouth
* MythologyGag: Same as Rumble; his chest is designed to resemble his ''[[TransformersGeneration1 Generation 1]]'' counterpart's tape spools.
* NoExportForYou: Frenzy's version of the mold is as-of-now exclusive to the "Arms Micron" toyline.

!!Wildrider
[[quoteright:255:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wildrider_6835.png]]
A Decepticon soldier who served in the same "Stunticon" unit as Breakdown. Even for a Decepticon, Wildrider is especially violent, and even Megatron has trouble controlling him. He doesn't work well with others, and is more content acting on his own. Just as Breakdown was rivals with Bulkhead, Wildrider has an enmity with the Wrecker Wheeljack, and as such, has taken on a similar vehicle mode as part of an effort to settle the score.

* ArchEnemy: The Breakdown to Wheeljack's Bulkhead.
* TheBerserker
* CoolCar
* DressingAsTheEnemy: A non-disguise related example; he adopts a similar vehicle mode simply to counter Wheeljack.
* DualWielding: Being a remold of Wheeljack, he carries two swords.
* MythologyGag: His bio reveals that he and Breakdown were both "Stunticons", much like their ''[[TransformersGeneration1 Generation 1]]'' counterparts.
** Additionally, the sticker sheet his toy comes with includes a few stickers based on the Stunticon logo created for the [=BotCon=] 2011 ''TransformersAnimated'' set.
* NoExportForYou: Surprise! He's another "Arms Micron" exclusive character!
* [[CoolGuns/SubmachineGuns Submachine Guns]]: His Arms Micron's weapon mode is one of these.

!!Star Seekers

!!Thundertron
[[quoteright:193:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thundertron_5640.png]]
Thundertron has a deep hatred of Cybertronians, who caused the destruction of his world. Swearing vengeance, he serves as the leader of the "Star Seekers", a roving band of pirates that seek to make Autobot and Decepticon alike pay for their crimes.

* AllThereInTheManual: Despite not showing up in ''Prime'' itself, his role is elaborated upon in the novel ''TransformersExiles'' and the Chinese exclusive MMO ''Transformers Online''.
* BadassLongcoat: His design makes it look as though he has coattails in robot mode.
* CoolSword
* TheDogBitesBack: Cybertronians devastated his world, and now he's ready to pay them back in kind.
* HandicappedBadass: ''Exiles'' depicts him as having replaced one of his legs with a metallic strut; you can thus give his toy a traditional pirate peg leg by removing one of his feet and attaching it to his arm.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: Pirate, check. Robot, check. Transforms into a robotic lion, check check check.
* OutsideContextVillain: His faction, the "Star Seekers" are the first non-Autobot or Decepticon group to get their own faction symbol since [[BeastWars the Maximals and Predacons]], and he's not involved in either side of the war. On top of that, he's some kind of transforming life-form that ''doesn't'' originate from Cybertron.
* PantheraAwesome
* ShouldersOfDoom
* SpacePirates
* WeirdBeard

Before the war between the Autobots
video games, and Decepticons, Fallback sought out new worlds for Cybertronians to colonize. Now, he puts those same talents towards locating planets of strategic importance to the Autobots, while also determining how best to use their resources and environment in the struggle against the Decepticons.

* BoldExplorer

* LanternJawOfJustice
* OneManArmy

* AttentionDeficitOohShiny
* [[ChainSawGood Circular Saw Good]]: What Suo turns into, and thus his main weapon.
* DrivesLikeCrazy
* LonersAreFreaks: Averted. His being alone is a boon to the Autobots, as far as his bio goes.
* NoExportForYou: He's based on the Breakdown mold, which is currently exclusive to Japan.
* SecretKeeper

* DimensionalTraveller
* PantheraAwesome
* WeirdBeard

* CoolCar
* HiredGuns

* CoolBike
* MythologyGag: Her packaging calls her weapon a "friction rifle", which was the weapon of Runamuck from the original cartoon series.
* PaletteSwap: Of Arcee.

* CoolPlane
* TeleportersAndTransporters
* TheTrickster

* CoolPlane
* LoudOfWar
* NonActionGuy
* PaletteSwap: Uses the same version of the "First Edition" Starscream mold as Skywarp.
* ThisIsADrill: His Arms Micron is basically the same as Skywarp's, meaning it also doubles as a FuumaShuriken.
* TheSmartGuy

* BashBrothers: With Frenzy.
* CoolCar
* EarthquakeMachine

* BrattyHalfpint
* CoolCar
* HairTriggerTemper
* LoudOfWar
* MistakenIdentity: His biography mentions he's often mistaken for Rumble. This could be considered LampshadeHanging on the FlipFlopOfGod and "FIRRIB[=/=]RIRFIB" matter mentioned above.
* MotorMouth

* TheBerserker
* CoolCar

* CoolSword
* PantheraAwesome
* ShouldersOfDoom
* SpacePirates
* WeirdBeard

!!Jack Darby
[[quoteright:171:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/JackDarby_stockimage_4736.jpg]]
-->"I get it, the first rule of Robot Film/FightClub is no one talks about Robot Film/FightClub."

-> Voiced by: Creator/JoshKeaton

The main human protagonist, he was living a quiet life in a remote Nevada town until he accidently stumbled into a fight between Arcee and a couple of Vehicons. Young but level-headed, he often tends to be the voice of reason among humans and Autobots alike. He has no real exceptional skills to offer, but is ready and willing to step up to any challenge that has been presented.

* ActorAllusion: Creator/JoshKeaton once again plays [[WesternAnimation/TheSpectacularSpiderMan a snarky teenager]].
* AudienceSurrogate
* BadassNormal: Despite being a small, squishy human, he is able to use bravery and his wits to remain relevant in an engagement. As for specific examples:
** He uses a fire-starting kit to ignite energon to destroy Airachnid's ship, steals Silas's radio to contact Fowler even while surrounded by armed men and Silas himself, manages to direct a swarm of Scraplets to take down an Insecticon and later tricked the sentient Nemesis into rebooting itself with some DeadlyDodging.
** His tenacity and reliable nature is the reason [[spoiler: Optimus chose him to hold the Key to Vector Sigma, knowing that Jack could handle the responsibility implied. It basically makes him an honorary Prime]].
* {{Bishonen}}: Although he's certainly not feminine, the Japanese dub has him pegged as one.
* [[CoolBigSis Cool Big Bro]]: Sometimes takes the role for Raf and Miko.
* DeadpanSnarker
* DisappearedDad: June mentions that Jack's father left them an unspecified amount of time ago. Exactly ''why'' he left has yet to be revealed though.
* {{Expy}}: His voice actor and his social status at his school remind one of [[WesternAnimation/TheSpectacularSpiderMan Peter Parker]]. His introduction to the Autobots and discovery of Arcee also have some parallels to [[Film/{{Transformers}} Sam Witwicky]].
* GroinAttack: Does this to Silas in one of the comics.
* HeroesWantRedheads[=/=]AllGuysWantCheerleaders: His main LoveInterest is a schoolmate of his named Sierra, the redheaded captain of the cheerleading squad.
* TheKirk
* NiceGuy: Other than being a bit of a smart-mouth, he's overall pretty decent and mature for someone his age.
* NonHumanSidekick: Inverted; he's the human sidekick to a robot protagonist.
* NotSoDifferent: A rare positive example; Ratchet claims that Jack is pretty similar to Optimus in his youth.
* OnlySaneMan: He's the only one of the trio who seems to understand why being involved in giant robot battles is not necessarily as awesome as one might think.
** He's even had to talk some sense into the ''[[WhatTheHellHero Autobots]]'' at times.
* OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent
* OutOfCharacterMoment: Lets Smokescreen talk him into walking into a potential combat zone in "Legacy". He immediately lampshades it upon reaching their destination.
* RefusalOfTheCall: He refuses it the first time, but Miko's appearance forces the issue. He refuses it again after a rousing time dodging death and dismemberment aboard the Decepticon ship, but Arcee gets him to come back. His mom also pushed him into refusing the call, but by this point he stood his ground.
** ResignedToTheCall: After he accepts his role as one of the Autobots' human friends, he becomes a straight example of this trope. He'd certainly enjoy not having to watch out for ominous vehicles and members of an armed militant group working within the US, but he values his friendship with Arcee and the Autobots more than that.
* TeamPet: He's a human companion in a ''Transformers'' series. It comes with the territory. He's mainly Arcee's pet, but also Optimus's and Smokescreen's to a certain extent.

!!Miko Nakadai
[[quoteright:155:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/MikoNakadai_stockimage_4422.jpg]]
-->"Was there a fight? Can I come with next time?!"

-> Voiced by: Tania Gunadi

An exchange student from Japan seeking to escape the boredom of a regimented schedule, she was initially wondering if Jasper, Nevada was really the place to escape ''from'' boredom. She loves being a part of this intergalactic war and desperately wants to join in on anything and everything related to it. She idolizes Bulkhead and sees him as the coolest bot on the team, often encouraging him to take more initiative.

* AesopAmnesia: No matter how many times she's told not to go flying out through the groundbridge and into danger, she ends up doing it. Her motives for doing so have improved from selfish to a misguided desire to help, however.
* AnAxeToGrind: Goes for the nearest fire axe whenever she's in a combat situation, whether the enemies be Decepticons or MECH mercenaries.
* BadassNormal: She ''wants'' to be this, but is more often a liability as she [[LeeroyJenkins rushes into a dangerous situation]]. It's later shown that she behaves like this because she thinks that Bulkhead can protect her from any threat, and if that belief is lost, she quickly becomes overwhelmed. Although an honorable mention goes to her actions in "Hurt," where [[spoiler: she took the initiative and killed Hardshell using Wheeljack's ship, saving him from being killed. He later tells her "Welcome to the Wreckers."]]
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: By the end of "Hurt", Miko gets her wish of being more actively involved in the fight against the Decepticons [[spoiler: by using the ''Jackhammer'' to offline Hardshell before he can kill Wheeljack, which causes Wheeljack to say she should be a Wrecker. But neither of these things make her feel any better]].
** She also wanted to visit Cybertron towards the end of Series 2. [[spoiler:Starscream captures her and the others, and places them in oxygen pods to be used as hostages for bargaining, with the consequence that they will die if Team Prime says no.]]
* BreakTheCutie: She is pretty well traumatized by the end of "Rock Bottom," though it doesn't seem to affect later episodes.
** "Hurt" seems to have broken her for good.
* CatchPhrase: Suh-weet!
* CharacterDevelopment: ''Finally'' seems to have dropped her sneak tag along, LeeroyJenkins habits since season 2 began.
* ExpressiveHair: Noticeable in "Operation Bumblebee Part 1" when her pigtails visibly droop when they try to cheer Bumblebee up by turning on the TV just in time to see a commercial for the car Bumblebee takes his altmode from (he was stuck in a ShapeshifterModeLock at the time).
* {{Expy}}: Personality-wise, it seems she's taken a few cues from [[WesternAnimation/IronManArmoredAdventures Pepper Potts]].
** She's also a bit like [[WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated Sari]] at times.
* GenkiGirl: She rationalizes this in the fourth episode as a result of strict upbringing. First chance she got, she took the exchange student gig for greener pastures. Nevada wasn't the best choice for that, but it worked out pretty well.
* GirlishPigtails: That [[ExpressiveHair stand on end]] when she's startled.
* IJustWantToBeBadass
* InkSuitActor: She's basically a CGI model of her voice actress.
* ItsPersonal: [[spoiler: Hardshell nearly killing Bulkhead makes it this for her.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's more than often rather pushy, selfish, and pays very little heed to others' advice, but would never abandon her friends (especially Bulkhead) willingly.
* JumpedAtTheCall: "Dude, what are you ''waiting'' for?! Go with!"
* LeeroyJenkins: They should seriously consider putting a leash on the girl. She's getting better, though.
* TheLoad: Mainly because of the LeeroyJenkins behavior.
* TheMcCoy
* MiseryBuildsCharacter: Gets some major growth of character when [[spoiler: Bulkhead becomes crippled]] in "Hurt."
* NaiveNewcomer
* NotAGame: The other characters keep ''trying'' to get her to understand this in regards to the Autobot-Decepticon war. It doesn't sink in until after the events of "Hurt".
* NotEvenBotheringWithTheAccent: Tania Gunadi voices Miko using her normal voice, which means Miko is a Japanese exchange student who speaks with an Indonesian accent.
* NonHumanSidekick: Inverted; she's the human sidekick to a robot protagonist.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: She spends nearly all of "Hurt" severely pissed off, depressed, and desiring some revenge on Hardshell for [[spoiler: nearly killing Bulkhead, and succeeds]].
* PluckyComicRelief
* PluckyGirl: Even if she's trapped in a cave and suffocating from the lack of fresh air, she does ''not'' quit.
* PrettyFreeloader: Emphasis on "pretty", extra emphasis on "freeloader".
* RecklessSidekick: ''Very'' reckless. At least half a dozen incidents where characters were put in legitimate danger are due to her. By the second season, she has got better in her recklessness, but still seems to have a hard time understanding that a combat situation against Decepticons is ''not'' where she belongs (i.e. when she insisted on going with the 'Bots to capture and secure the Decepticon Space Bridge... in space).
* RoseHairedGirl: Though only partially.
* SkunkStripe: It's pink. The tips of her pigtails are as well.
* SurprisinglyGoodEnglish: Despite having lived in Japan for most of her life, she speaks perfect English.
* TeamPet: Bulkhead's pet. She even lampshades it, commenting that Wheeljack needs to get his ''own'' [pet] human to really fit in.
* TightsUnderShorts
* TooDumbToLive: She persists in involving herself in combat situations when she really shouldn't, including trying to bash a Vehicon with a rock while Bulkhead has it pinned (which considering said Vehicon has a head made of metal alloy far tougher than any on Earth, works about as well as could be expected). Jack [[WhatWereYouThinking calls her on this attitude the first chance he gets]].
** She ''is'' getting better as of "Flying Mind".
*** With an extra dose positive of CharacterDevelopment in "Hurt". [[spoiler:And gets smarter as well, managing to surprise Hardshell with Wheeljack's ship and kill him.]]
* TookALevelInBadass: [[spoiler: With a little help from Wheeljack's ship, she becomes the second human in show to take a Cybertronian (specifically Hardshell) offline. Permanently.]]
* TwoferTokenMinority: She's an exchange student from Japan and one of the few female characters.
* UndyingLoyalty: She really cares about her friendship with Bulkhead, even to the point of nearly suffocating herself in "Rock Bottom" to try to free him.
* [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes Why Did It Have To Be Spiders?]]
* WrongGenreSavvy: She seems to think she is in a more lighthearted Transformers continuity. She eventually learns her lesson [[BreakTheCutie the hard way.]]

!!Rafael "Raf" Esquivel
[[quoteright:156:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Raf_stockimage_1475.jpg]]
--> '''Miko''': "You know how to hack? But you're, like, two years old."
--> '''Raf''': "Twelve... ''and'' a quarter."

-> Voiced by: Andy Pessoa

The youngest of the human kids, he was present when Bumblebee came to aid Arcee against a group of Vehicons. Abnormally smart for his young age, he is still very young and easily overwhelmed. He grew up in a large family who rarely have time to listen to him, which is why he bonds so closely with the normally quiet Bumblebee.

* AdorablyPrecociousChild: At times, Raf really shows his young age. In "Darkness Rising" his first scene was him playing with a toy car and making engine noises. In "Scrapheap", he talked about wanting to see snow and was later wandering around the base pretending he was in a blizzard.
* {{Adorkable}}
* AllThereInTheManual: "Raf's Notes" explains that even he doesn't know why Bumblebee makes sense to him, he just does. He also goes on to mention that it's probably the same reason ''he could understand computer code at age three''. You can just ''hear'' the fan theories coming out... especially coming after ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated''.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: As his name suggests, he ''is'' actually Latino. This is a case of TruthInTelevision, as not ''everyone'' who's Latino has tan skin, black hair, and brown eyes, and it's quite common for people to mistakenly assume so for those who ''do'' look like that.
* AnimeHair: Primus only knows how he keeps it like that.
* AwesomeBackpack
* BadassAdorable: Despite being the youngest, smallest and weakest human physically, Raf has actually proven to be the most competent and reliable of the Autobots' human friends. His common sense usually keeps him out of trouble (for the most part; no human is ever completely out of trouble in a Transformers series), he's the most rational of the three humans, and his formidable computer skills and knowledge of human technology have proven invaluable to the Autobots so far. When ''Ratchet'' actually shows a little fondness for you and even admits that you're pretty much his only human friend, you must have done something right.
** "Out Of His Head" deserves a mention for sheer badass. Raf attempts to take on Bumblebee, possessed by freaking '''Megatron''' while Megs is attempting to resurrect himself. Raf leaps onto the cable connecting Bumblebee to Megatron's body to try and rip it off. It doesn't actually work, but let's just repeat that Raf was willing to take on ''Megatron'' to save his friend. Dude's got bearings.
** In "Triage", he [[spoiler:creates a computer virus that beams ''the entirety of the Iacon Database'' from the Nemesis' computer to the Autobot base's computer, giving the Autobots an edge against the Decepticons]].
*** To be fair, [[spoiler: said virus was of human design which would have been awfully primitive and ineffective on Cybertronian advanced tech, had it not been for Ratchet's conversion of its coding into Cybertronian code.]] It's still pretty badass for a kid his age though.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Do ''not'', under any circumstances, threaten Bumblebee in his presence. A scraplet learned that the hard way.
* BlindWithoutEm
* BrownEyes
* [[TeenGenius Child Genius]]
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow
* FullNameUltimatum: His mother calls him by his full name of "Rafael Jorge Gonzales Esquivel" in "The Human Factor".
* InfantImmortality: Played straight, given the target audience, but really treads the line in averting it.
* NerdGlasses
* NonHumanSidekick: Inverted; he's the human sidekick to a robot protagonist.
* PlayfulHacker: Repeatedly removes pictures of the Autobots from the internet and replaces them with silly gifs. On the other hand, he's much more serious when dealing with combat situations.
* ShorterMeansSmarter
* TheSpock: Downplayed example as he gets quite excited in some cases, but when it comes to business he's all professional.
* TeamPet: Bumblebee's, and lately Ratchet's shown some fondness for him too, to the point that he actually picks him up from school when Bumblebee's T-Cog is taken and can't transform.
* TechnoWizard
* TranslatorBuddy: Bumblebee's, for the humans.
* VocalEvolution: His voice has noticeably deepened over the course of the series, most evidently in the season 2 opener. This is obviously due to Andy Pessoa's own voice deepening.

!!Special Agent William Fowler
[[quoteright:349:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/DarknessRising2-Fowler_4169.jpg]]
-->"Well, I'll be a bald eagle."

A human liason to the Autobots, Fowler's job is to monitor their activity and report back on issues of interest. Their agreement is to let the Autobots handle Decepticon activity, but at various points he has called on their help dealing with the dangerous MECH organization. Often grouchy, regardless he has a good deal of respect for Optimus, his team and the human kids, and has grown to trust them to make the right calls.

* AcePilot: He may be retired, but he's still ''really'' good with a plane.
** In "Darkest Hour", he [[spoiler: jumps into a helicopter and flies directly into an entire fleet of Decepticons. Alone. And ''survives''. And puts up a hell of a fight at that. Even after the chopper is damaged, he still manages to take down a good number of Cons and even rescue June from one]]. See also the below trope.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassNormal: He may just be a human, but he's able to withstand Decepticon torture for an unknown amount of time without cracking, not to mention dogfight Laserbeak in a Huey helicopter. He can also fly a jet without a flight suit, thanks to a cabin-pressure stabilizer that Rachet has built into the cockpit to keep his organs from exploding.
** In "Nemesis Prime", he chooses to go into a battleground between Optimus and Nemesis Prime, sneaks into the MECH base (including knocking out at least three sentries), and fistfights Silas (while admitting he's out-of-shape) to buy Optimus time against his doppelganger.
** BackToBackBadasses: An airborne variation with [[spoiler:Wheeljack against a legion of Cons]], in "Darkest Hour".
** RetiredBadass: Used to be a US Army Ranger, and had some pilot training too given his comments while flying his jet.
* BigDamnHeroes: In "Crisscross", he showed up with a bunch of {{Black Helicopter}}s to save Arcee, Jack, and June from Airachnid.
* DaChief
* {{Expy}}: Of Colonel Franklin from ''[[Anime/TransformersCybertron Cybertron]]''.
* JackBauerInterrogationTechnique: He tries it on a MECH mook when standing on top of Optimus' altmode. [[SubvertedTrope The mook hits a branch and presumably dies.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Most of the time, he's yelling at Optimus about whatever new incident is going down (often [[{{Misblamed}} misblaming]] them for it), and when conversing with Bumblebee, he started talking slower as though Bumblebee couldn't understand him. However, he's a valued ally and friend to the Autobots and he grows fond of the kids, even showing a great deal of respect to Jack's mom.
** To be fair, working with Team Prime '''is''' an incredibly stressful job at the best of times and said "new incidents" have a chance of extreme collateral damage.
* TheMenInBlack
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: He once tries to provide backup to Optimus and Bumblebee when Skyquake is fighting them. They have the fight under control when he arrives, however, and as a result, Skyquake gains a vehicle mode. And his BigDamnHeroes moment gives Airachnid a vehicle mode too, but it was that or allow her to kill Arcee, Jack, and June. By the time it happens ''again'' when he tries to attack Dreadwing, it seems as though it's become a full-on RunningGag.
--> '''Agent Fowler:''' [[LampshadeHanging Oh, not]] ''[[LampshadeHanging this]]'' [[LampshadeHanging again]]!
* NonSequiturThud: Tends to do this after electrical shocks, usually mentioning his grandmother. He even ends up referencing LOLCats at one point.
* {{Ranger}}: Mentions he was one during his fistfight with Silas in "Nemesis Prime".
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Whilst he may become frustrated at some of the consequences that having warring alien robots on Earth can bring (specifically, about keeping the whole ordeal secret and whether further government intervention would be required should things escalate), he still takes on board what the Autobots have to say, gives them free rein to deal with the Decepticons their own way (without human casualties), and will readily assist them if they need it.
* RunningGag: The vehicles he's piloting/riding in tend to get scanned by Decepticons who desperately need an Earth alternate-mode ''a lot''.
** Also, he has a habit of getting shocked and then [[NonSequiturThud saying random things]].
* ScaryBlackMan: Downplayed, but he gets his moments.
* UniversalDriversLicense: Has driven multiple vehicles in the show, including aircraft.

Jack's mom, she works as a nurse at the local hospital and has raised Jack ever since his father left. Because of that, she raised Jack to be very responsible in his schoolwork, job and friendships, but is still very concerned for his safety. She was initially kept out of the loop, not fully realizing where Jack's motorcycle came from, but eventually came to see the full scope of events her son is involved with.

* BrokenMasquerade: Jack tried to tell her the truth once, only for Arcee not to cooperate and she figured he was joking around. Being taken captive by MECH and witnessing Arcee and Airachnid duking it out, she caught on pretty quick.
* ChekhovsGunman: She's a nurse, which just seems like a fill-in job title. She keeps Raf alive long enough for Ratchet to figure out how to rig a permanent solution.
* HospitalHottie
* HotMom: She looks like she's only in her mid-to-late 20's instead of the mother of a teenager.
* MyBelovedSmother: She has her moments of this, especially after she learns about how her son has spent several months involved in a war between giant alien robots.
** This also crops up after Megatron nearly kills Raf. She initially tries to cut herself and the children off from the Autobots entirely, but is later convinced of the Autobots' willingess to help humanity. Like mother, like son, it seems.
* SecretKeeper: As of "Crisscross", she now knows of the Transformers' existence and Jack's involvement with them.
* WhatTheHellHero: Calls all the Bots out after Megatron nearly kills Raf for the reason that they were careless enough to drag three children into the war.
** And again in part 1 of "Orion Pax", when Ratchet reveals they will have to [[spoiler:send Jack into space (Cybertron, to be precise) to access Vector Sigma]], where she and Fowler ask why Jack specifically has to go.

A classmate of Jack (and by extension, Miko and Raf), she didn't really pay him much mind until he talked with her while on his motorcycle. Unaware of Jack's involvement with alien robots, they've had a few hiccups as they grow closer together.

* AllGuysWantCheerleaders: She's apparently the cheerleading captain of Jack's high school.
* BetweenMyLegs: How the race in "Speed Metal" [[http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Image:SpeedMetal-startyourengines.jpg is started]].
* CharacterDevelopment: She was very much an AlphaBitch in her first appearance, though by the time she showed up again, she had softened quite a bit towards Jack.
* GirlNextDoor: At least, she seems to be closer to this than TheCheerleader.
* HartmanHips: A very slight case.
* HeroesWantRedheads
* RecurringCharacter: She has shown up in a dozen or so episodes, but only a few does she even have lines.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: About all we know about her is that she likes Jack and he likes her. The reality is she hasn't really stuck around long enough in any episode for us to get to know her, only being around for a couple scenes in a couple episodes is more reasonable than being in every episode and still fulfilling this trope.

Now his ultimate goal is to unlock their technological secrets and use it for his own nefarious purposes.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Taking Starscream's T-Cog after he wrecked Bumblebee's.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: Quite willing to back off and process the intel he's collected once the original mission is no longer viable. No meaningless sacrifices here.
* LargeAndInCharge: He's noticeably burlier than the normal MECH grunts.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: His real name is Leland Bishop.
* RightWingMilitiaFanatic: He's certainly borrowed at least some of the aesthetic and ideology, though it's still too soon to say just how far it goes. Given his resources and his "new world order vs. newer world order" speech in his first appearance, however, he could be something far worse.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: During his alliance with Starscream. Silas clearly doesn't see Starscream as an equal, or even as an actual ally, and doesn't really try to hide this.
* TerroristWithoutACause: Possibly.
* TranshumanTreachery: Upon being transferred into [[spoiler: Breakdown]]'s body.

he was living a quiet life in a remote Nevada town until he accidently stumbled into a fight between Arcee and a couple of Vehicons. * AudienceSurrogate
* BadassNormal: Despite being a small, squishy human, he is
weakened, Optimus was able to use bravery and his wits to remain relevant in an engagement. As for specific examples:
** He uses a fire-starting kit to ignite energon
to destroy Airachnid's ship, steals Silas's radio to contact Fowler even while surrounded by armed men and Silas himself, manages to direct a swarm of Scraplets to take down an Insecticon and later tricked the sentient Nemesis into rebooting itself with some DeadlyDodging.
* DeadpanSnarker
* TheKirk
* OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent
He'd certainly enjoy not having to watch out for ominous vehicles and members of an armed militant group working
reactors within the US, but he values his friendship with Arcee and the Autobots more than that.
* TeamPet: He's a human companion in a ''Transformers'' series. It comes with the territory. He's mainly Arcee's pet, but also Optimus's and Smokescreen's to a certain extent.

his young age, he is still very young master and easily overwhelmed. He grew up in a large family who rarely have time to listen to him, which creator is why he bonds so closely with the normally quiet Bumblebee.

* AdorablyPrecociousChild: At times, Raf really shows his young age. In "Darkness Rising" his first scene was him playing with a toy car and making engine noises. In "Scrapheap", he talked about wanting to see snow and was later wandering around the base pretending he was in a blizzard.

* BlindWithoutEm
* BrownEyes
* [[TeenGenius Child Genius]]
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow
* FullNameUltimatum: His mother calls him by his full name of "Rafael Jorge Gonzales Esquivel" in "The Human Factor".
* InfantImmortality: Played straight, given the target audience, but really treads the line in averting it.
* NerdGlasses
* NonHumanSidekick: Inverted; he's the human sidekick to a robot protagonist.
* PlayfulHacker: Repeatedly removes pictures of the Autobots from the internet and replaces them with silly gifs. On the other hand, he's much more serious when dealing with combat situations.
* ShorterMeansSmarter
* TechnoWizard
* TranslatorBuddy: Bumblebee's, for the humans.
* VocalEvolution: His voice has noticeably deepened over the course of the series, most evidently in the season 2 opener. This is obviously due to Andy Pessoa's own voice deepening.

!!Special Agent William Fowler
[[quoteright:349:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/DarknessRising2-Fowler_4169.jpg]]
-->"Well, I'll be a bald eagle."

-> Voiced by: Ernie Hudson

* {{Badass}}
* DaChief
* TheMenInBlack

* HospitalHottie

* HeroesWantRedheads

* ActorAllusion: He's a clear-cut human supervillain, seems to have long-term goals of world domination, and he opposes an alien being clad in red and blue that he makes a clone of. [[WesternAnimation/SupermanTheAnimatedSeries We've heard this before]].

* TeethClenchedTeamwork: During his alliance with Starscream. Silas clearly doesn't see Starscream as an equal, or even as an actual ally, and doesn't really try to hide this.

An ancient evil, a mechanical god of sorts who possesses a rivalry with his counterpart Primus. Defeated eons ago, his influence continues to the present day and is a force that couldn't care less about the Autobot/Decepticon conflict.

* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: [[spoiler: After losing a battle with Primus, he was left to be trapped in the center of the Earth where he plans to destroy humanity and their civilization. [[{{Satan}} Sound familiar?]]]]
* EldritchAbomination: He's as old as time itself. His blood's properties can resurrect the dead as berserker zombies, power up a Transformer, possibly kill a human with exposure, weaken Cybertronians if they are exposed to too much, and allow one to hear the thoughts of Unicron himself and see the future. Season 2 expands on this a little, despite him [[spoiler:seemingly dormant once again]], as his blood is used to [[spoiler:repair the Nemesis, which works but inadvertently makes it sentient (it used to be Trypticon)]] and later [[spoiler:used as a component in forging the Dark Sabre- which ''shatters the Star Sabre''.]]
* EvilCounterpart: To his brother, Primus. And the parallels are even stronger in this universe than they usually are. [[spoiler:Both of them are responsible for the survival and possible creations of a planet, Earth for Unicron, and Cybertron for Primus, respectively. The difference being, that Primus willingly allowed his spark to become one with Cybertron's core and created the Well of [=AllSparks=] to spawn new generations of Cybertronians, whereas Earth formed around Unicron's body whilst he was in stasis, and the creation of the planet and its inhabitants was completely unintentional and unwanted on Unicron's part]].
* EvilSoundsDeep: As is tradition.
* FantasticRacism: Views humans as parasites.
* FightingAShadow: Since Unicron [[spoiler:is Earth]], he can form countless copies of himself from surface materials; the Autobots can destroy as many of those as they can, but Unicron will survive.
* TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou: The few times he isn't looking at someone, he's staring straight at the camera, as if he's ''very aware'' the people outside the TV are watching him.
* GeniusLoci: As is tradition, but ''Prime'' adds a special twist: [[spoiler:Unicron ''is'' Earth, the planet having formed around his remains. He exists as a spirit which can control the minerals in the ground to form copies of his original body]].
* GiantMook: Even the regular stone copies of Unicron are larger than the average Transformer, but in addition to these, Unicron is also capable of forming ''skyscraper''-sized versions of himself that are much, much harder to take down.
* GodIsEvil: [[spoiler:Since he's the proginator of humanity and all life on Earth, he counts as this.]]
* GodOfEvil
* HiveMind[=/=]IAmLegion: Unicron can make multiple versions of his old body that are all share a single, unified mind, and thus at least seem to talk in complete unison.
* LargeHam
* MookMaker: [[spoiler:Since Unicron is the Earth itself, he's capable of spawning apparently infinite stone copies of his original body from the ground. That's right, the whole planet is his MookMaker and all the mooks are Unicron.]]
* OmnicidalManiac: As is tradition.
* PurpleIsPowerful: His eyes, blood, and the electric discharge used by his copies are all purple.
* PhysicalGod: Sort of. He's implied to have been once been this before Primus and the Thirteen Primes defeated him. He's now [[AscendToAHigherPlaneofExistence gone past this]].
* RoboFamily: [[AllThereInTheManual Not mentioned in-series]] but he's the brother of Primus.
* {{Satan}}: The Cybertronian equivalent thereof, at any rate.
* SciFiWritersHaveNoSenseOfScale: For once in this franchise, averted. [[spoiler: Unicron is ''Earth itself'', making him truly planet-sized for the first time.]]
* SealedEvilInACan: Completely unintentionally. [[spoiler: After his defeat at the dawn of time, the entire planet Earth naturally formed around him over billions of years.]]
* ShockAndAwe: His duplicates use electrical blasts as a weapon.
* SpikesOfVillainy: All over his body.

!!Primus

An ancient god of Creation, he is a deity and ancestor of all Cybertronians. Locked in a perpetual stalemate with his counterpart Unicron, defeated him by creating the Thirteen Primes. Once peace was established he merged with the core of Cybertron, giving life to the planet by providing an abundance of energon. The war corrupted his core, forcing him to shut down for millions of years to repair the damage and he bestowed the Matrix of Leadership to Optimus for safekeeping.

* AscendToAHigherPlaneOfExistence: Mentioned to have merged with Cybertron's core.
* CainAndAbel: The Abel to Unicron's Cain.
* GeniusLoci: As is tradition.
* GodIsGood
* PhysicalGod: Was once this. Somewhat unique amongst Transformers lore in that Primus and Cybertron originally existed individually of one another, before Primus merged his spark with the planet's core as opposed to his entire body being the planet, as is the most common depiction. This allows him to be a planet without trying to depict a planet-size robot form, which has been a visual difficulty in ''TransformersTheMovie'' and ''TransformersArmada''.
* RoboFamily: Is Unicron's brother.

* GodWasMyCopilot: Most are unaware that he's actually one of the Thirteen.
* IChooseToStay: After the construction of the ''Ark'', Alpha Trion decided not to go with Optimus, but to stay behind on Cybertron and watch over the Hall of Records.
* TheObiWan: Was this to Orion/Optimus, then later to Smokescreen.
* PurpleIsPowerful
* RetCon: One of the more surprising ones amongst the franchise. Alpha Trion was revealed to be a member of the Thirteen for this [[Franchise/TransformersAlignedUniverse universe]], meaning he's also supposedly a Multiversal Singularity (meaning there's only truly one of him across every Transformers continuity). This provides somewhat of a problem for him more than other members of the Thirteen, since he has actually had an evil MirrorUniverse [[http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Alpha_Trion_%28SG%29 counterpart]], who actually fought against Nexus Prime, another member of the Thirteen. This apparent contradiction has resulted in classifying ''only'' the ''Prime'' Alpha Trion as one of the Thirteen, and stating that the ''Prime'' universe is not part of the previous Transformers {{Multiverse}}. Whether this makes thing more or less confusing is up for debate.
* RewritingReality: Alpha Trion can, to a limited extent, rewrite future events using his Quill and the Covenant of Primus.

* CombiningMecha

!!!Liege Maximo

Created to act as an evil counterforce to good, Liege Maximo eventually betrayed his fellow Primes to pursue his own designs, much like his brother the Fallen before him.

* BalanceBetweenGoodAndEvil: Liege Maximo's evil enacts as a necessary counterbalance to the other Primes' good.
* FaceHeelTurn
* SealedEvilInACan: Supposedly, Liege Maximo was captured and imprisoned in a distant galaxy from Cybertron by Alchemist Prime.
* TokenEvilTeammate

!!Scraplets

Tiny, metal termites who ''love'' living metal and are incredibly destructive wherever they go.

* KillerRabbit
* MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Until they see another Cybertronian. Then they start eating like there's no tomorrow.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: They cause this reaction all the time from Cybertronians, for good reason. Bulkhead even states the trope word-for-word (with "Scraplets" in place of snakes).
* ZergRush

!!Nemesis Prime
-->"I am Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, and I bring you this message. *[[WeComeInPeaceShootToKill blam]]*"
[[quoteright:350:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Nemesis_Prime_6053.png]]
-> Voiced by: PeterCullen, Creator/ClancyBrown

A great breakthrough for MECH research, Nemesis Prime is a near perfect copy of Optimus Prime and controlled by a human interface.

* ColorCodedForYourConvenience
* EvilKnockoff
* EvilSoundsDeep
* FeelNoPain: As a result of being just a mindless remote-controlled drone, Nemesis isn't actually alive and thus can't feel pain. The same can't be said for his template, Optimus Prime.
* InSeriesNickname: Miko dubs the duplicate "Nemesis Prime".
* OutOfCharacterAlert: Silas attempts to use Nemesis to trick Bumblebee into believing it is the real Optimus. The ruse fails after about 10 seconds, when Silas proves unable to understand Bumblebee's [[IntelligibleUnintelligible method of communication]].
-->(after Bumblebee says something) "I'm sorry, what?"
* RemoteBody: Is controlled via remote control by Silas.
* TheUndead: While not a character that's brought back from the dead, its appearance certainly seems to try and invoke this, mainly due to the rusting appearance and darker colors.

* TheJuggernaut
* KnightOfCerebus: For the video game he stars in.
* MightyGlacier
* NotQuiteDead: He was essentially ''dead'' when Optimus first encountered him, before incoming fire form the Decepticons jostled him back to consciousness.
* OneManArmy
* TerseTalker: When he speaks, it's only to get straight to the heart of the point.
* UndyingLoyalty: His loyalty to his master and creator is unquestionable.
