* TheBusCameBack: Is playable in ''Unconnected Markeeters''' after her last playable appearance in ''Double Dealing Character''.

* MysteriousPast: No official explanation has ever been given for [[AmbiguouslyHuman who or what]] Sakuya is, how she gained her powers, or why she works as a maid for the Scarlet Mansion. More than that, she even [[RiteOfPassageNameChange changed her original name]] after Remilia employed her.

* TheRenfield: A presumably human servant to a vampiric mistress, [[TokenHuman and the only human in the Scarlet Devil Mansion]], who serves so faithfully she's sometimes derogatorily called [[AnimalMotifs Remilia's dog]] by other characters. Her duties are heavily implied to include unsavory things like bringing Remilia victims to feed on and preparing meals out of human flesh and blood for Remilia and her sister (it is canon that such meals are served at the mansion and Sakuya is the only maid that would be competent enough to prepare them). Unusually for this trope though, she is not portrayed negatively, being refined and elegant in contrast to the usual bug-eating creeps and harboring seemingly no delusions, and being devoted yet not sycophantic, even lightly chiding Remilia on some occasions. Remilia herself seems to treat Sakuya as [[TheDragon a trusted right hand]] rather than a disposable minion.

* TheChessmaster: She can be quite the planner when she commits herself to it. In both ''Immaterial and Missing Power'' and ''Scarlet Weather Rhapsody'' she immediately deduced the culprit and manipulated the events of both games to ensure Reimu or someone else would see to it that it was resolved.

* ImmortalImmaturity: Though many ''Touhou'' characters exhibit this trope, Remilia exemplifies it, impetuous, selfish, and overall acting as the child she appears to be despite her centuries. ZUN notes that "Creatures of her kind forfeit their growth and maturity in exchange for eternal life. In other words, she can live forever because she never grows up."

* {{Ojou}}: She's a rich girl who lives in a huge mansion with lots of servants.
** While she does have a mansion and servants, it is unclear exactly how rich the Scarlets are. None of the mansion's inhabitants seem to be getting paid anything, and anyways there are not that many ways for Remilia to flaunt any possible wealth in Gensokyo.

* RoyalBrat: Pretty classy outwardly, but her attitude can be as childish as her appearance. She even has a baby booster seat complete with a small table for her own personal use in the rocket ride to the moon.

* SuperpowerLottery: The ability to manipulate fate is... odd, to say the least. This ability could potentially make her easily one of the most powerful beings in Gensokyo, since [[RealityWarper everything would happen precisely how she wants to]]. However, it mostly seems like she is limited to only giving destiny subtle nudges, if even that - Flandre seems to think she just made her power up.

* {{BFS}}: In ''Hisoutensoku'', she [[SpontaneousWeaponCreation pulls out]] a large sword made of ice for some of her attacks. Her strongest attack in said game, ''Ice Clump "Great Crusher"'', has her strike her opponent with an enormous (and deceptively fast) ice hammer. Deconstructed, as Cirno can't actually ''wield'' these weapons and needs gravity do most of the swinging.

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: While "Flandre" is pretty widely accepted in the Western parts of the fandom, no one else is certain how to spell it. The fact that "furandouru" wouldn't be pronounced much like "Flandre" probably helps. "Frandle", "Frandre" and "Frandoll" are the most often seen alternate spellings.

* GiverOfLameNames: Most of her spellcards' names try too hard to be dramatic and awe-inspiring with the words "night", "demon", "devil", "blood", "fate" and other such evil buzzwords being used quite liberally. The ones that don't... just plain suck, like ''Demon [Remilia Stretch]'' or, we kid you not, ''Scarlet Devil [[[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment Scarlet Devil]]]''.
