-->'''Robosuitcase:''' Doc "Doc is great. great, Doc is all. Doc not leave cave."
*WarmUpBoss: Although technically not a true boss, Robosuitcase is the final obstacle in Doc's Cave before the Doc can be freed. It's really easy to defeat even without a weapon (as Ed gets the stick ''after'' defeating him), since a popcorn machine that allows Ed to transform into Super Ed is available.

[[folder:Robosuitcase]]
A robot made by the Doc to protect his cave from strangers, but as the tonic caused the Doc's inventions to go haywire (Robosuitcase included), he's locked up the Doc inside his own cave.

[[folder:The Mammoth]]
An elephant-like creature with wings and aviator goggles, apparently an ally of the Doc. Ed meets him when entering the Canyon for the first time.
----
*AllThereInTheManual: Only [[http://www.thecomputershow.com/computershow/previews/tonictrouble.htm an old preview article on the game]] appears to mention a mammoth, being injured and having a pilot's license, seemingly matching with this character.
*ExpositionFairy: Much like Agent Xyz in previous levels, the mammoth provides a few tips for the Canyon level. He's nearly not as recurring, however, only appearing when entering the Canyon for the first time.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:The Barman]]
The barkeep of the Glacier Cocktail level. Ed meets him when entering that level for the first time
----
*ExpositionFairy: As with Agent Xyz and the mammoth in the previous levels, the barman explains what's going on in Glacier Cocktail. He only appears when entering that level for the first time.

[[folder:The Prisoners]]
Inmates that recur throughout the Pyramid level. They've been imprisoned long enough to have become insane, but they're still surprisingly helpful at providing tips.
----

[[folder:Dino-Cow]]
A mutant that's a cross between a dog, a cow, and a tyrannosaurus. This creature is found near the entrance to the Glacier Cocktail in the South Plain.

The General main antagonist of Ed's race.the game.

* TheCameo: He only appears in the prologue.

to:

* TheCameo: BeardOfEvil: Grögh has one.
* BigBad:
He only appears is the main antagonist of the game.
* TheBrute: Grögh is like this.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: In the PC version, we first see Grogh as he's being booted out of a bar. He's clearly a druken loser. Then the can falls from the sky and lands in front of him. Grogh takes one sip, and suddenly becomes ruler of the Earth. "This time drinks are on ME! and EVERYONE is gonna get a taste!"
* HornyVikings: Subverted
in the prologue.PC version. Grogh doesn't actually gain the horned helmet until ''after'' drinking the Tonic.
* TheManBehindTheMan: Grögh is behind the Killer Vegetables. [[spoiler: And the Pharmacist is behind him, but that's not important.]]
* NonActionBigBad: Grögh may look tough, with how he's big and looks like a viking, but he's actually quite a wimp. When you do finally encounter him at the end, he relies on a giant robot entirely to fight you, and gives up after one direct slap.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Grögh himself isn't actively doing anything against Ed and leaves all the work to his minions, until the final battle where he pilots a giant robot.
** Except the game over screen, where he fucks up Ed's limbless body pretty good.
* StupidEvil: [[spoiler: When defeated he mentions that his original idea was just to bully and scare everyone around with his newfound powers, and the whole evil empire and alliance with the Killer Vegetables thing was the Pharmacist's idea, which he resents.]]
* VocalDissonance: In the beta/special edition, Grögh sounds like a young prankster despite his big, viking-like look. (as well as his more fitting voice in the pre-rendered intro cutscene.)
** Mind you, this was only in the beta/SE version. The Retail PC version had the same voice actor as in the intro.

[[folder:Ed]]

!!!'''Voiced by:''' Creator/DavidGasman

Ed is an alien janitor who accidentally dropped a magical tonic to Earth.
----
* AlmightyJanitor: A ''literal'' one!
** Well, he's not so almighty at first. The only reason he's made the hero is that the whole mess is his fault. He gets more almighty later on.
* AnguishedDeclarationOfLove: Ed is trying one of these in the beginning cutscene. It doesn't pan out like he hopes.
* LeastCommonSkinTone: Everyone has something to say about Ed's unusual purple color... Despite often having weird skin tones themselves.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: The reason why the plot even exists. So, Ed attempts to ingest a tonic of unknown properties to get the courage to ask a girl out, but it apparently had a funky flavor. Turned out the Tonic had more funkiness than just the flavor: The residue spit from the tonic also caused the screws to come to life and become crazy. He then attempts to eject the tonic from the ship... which lands on earth, specifically right on the recently evicted-from-the-bar drunkard Grogh, he drinks it, starts to mutate, spills it in the conveniently nearby brook, causing the mutagenetic effects of the tonic to mutate the planet. This starts causing a LOT of oddities such as flying sheep and psychedelic skies with an overall background that looks like something taken from an acid trip, and then Grogh declaring that all drinks are on him. Shortly thereafter, Ed was busted for his reckless action and is sentenced to clean up the mess he caused.
* PurpleIsPowerful: In his Super Ed form, he is quite powerful.
* SlippySlideyIceWorld: The Glacier Cocktail and Ski Slope
* SimpleStaff: Ed's weapon. You can whack your enemies with it, but also use it as a lever.
* SuperHero: [=SuperEd=], yeah!
* TookALevelInBadAss: He started as a goofy, incompetent Janitor bullied by others and ended up kicking asses with his stick, saving planets and getting a hot, human-like girlfriend.
* TopHeavyGuy: Whenever Ed becomes Super Ed.
* UglyGuyHotWife: Ed is the ugly guy to Suzy.
