* FireBreathingWeapon: One of his weapons is a built-in flamethrower called the "Jan Vulcan".
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: Janperson himself could be seen as a heroic version of this. He shows up out of nowhere in the first episode to start fighting criminals, and his origin isn't revealed until [[BelatedBackstory much later]].

* SomethingPerson: His name is a {{Pun}} on how he wears a jumper. "Janpā" (Jumper) + "Person" = "Janperson".
* SplitPersonality: [[spoiler:His original MX-A1 personality eventually resurfaces in him as a separate persona, constantly goading him to kill criminals, even ones that are defenseless. With Kaoru's help, he's able to resist and suppress them.]]
