Added DiffLines:

* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: Essentially Frank's slave, who gets whipped and kicked by him, and insulted and mocked at every turn. Frank also steals the credit for Rocky, when Riff did most of the actual science. If his song "Short End Of The Stick" in ''Script/RevengeOfTheOldQueen'' is to be believed he's some kind of second-class citizen on his home planet and has been mistreated and looked down on throughout his life (and the disdainful behaviour of the other Transylvanians towards him certainly backs that up). Perhaps it's no wonder that he's vengeful and murderous, but he also takes out his anger and resentment on innocent people like Rocky.

Added DiffLines:

** However, there is some AmbiguousSyntax as to who "them" refers to here, with some productions of the stage show making it clearly only refer to [[spoiler:Columbia and Rocky]].

Added DiffLines:

* FromNobodyToNightmare: In the original film, he's a constantly mistreated servant (treated little better than a slave, in fact) until his TheDogBitesBack moment at the end, and in the unfilmed ''Script/RevengeOfTheOldQueen'' describes himself as "born to be the victim // born a pawn without the system". Yet by the time of said script, 15 years after the events of the original film, he's a General, and has greater ambitions yet. [[spoiler:He even becomes TheDragon to Sonny by the end.]]

Misuse: Depraved Bisexual was being used for Rocky, who does nothing depraved at all, and Eddie, who has a criminal record but not in any sexual way and isn't portrayed as a predator or in any way having his sexuality tied to his crimes (if anything he might fit Gayngster, though I'm not sure his criminal activity is organised enough for that trope.) Brad is also not a Depraved Homosexual as that trope is for sexually predatory characters and Brad never preys on anyone or even harms anyone, the worst thing he does is expressing a few conservative views, he's not a villain, just...kind of an arsehole. Also, Cavett being hilarious is YMMV.

It's also unclear how much his feelings for Janet are actual attraction, vs just ''liking'' her and knowing he's ''expected'' to mary a woman. His "Oh, damn it" after Janet says she loves him too sounds as if he's regretting the proposal. [[spoiler: Some of the unmade sequels would have said that the events of the film led to him discovering he was gay or bi. In his police statement, he claims he never lies[[note]] Not even to his mother about cleaning behind his ears[[/note]], though but he claims he was asleep when someone came into his bedroom and never knew it was Frank.Frank, which of course is not the case. He also outright says "I've even lied" in Superheroes (though this may refer more to lying to himself about his sexuality.)

* AuthorAvatar: To Downplayed. His crossdressing and relationship with gender was based on Richard O'Brien in the first film, O'Brien's own experiences, notably when he sings about wanting to be just like Fay Wray.Wray, and Richard O'Brien has described himself as a "sweet transvestite", but Frank's personality was based on other people, including Richard O'Brien's manipulative and egotistical mother.
