* ArmorIsUseless: Though he ditches his body armor half-way through movie one, it actually does protect him during the fight with the Machete gang. One member lands a blow on him which cuts the armor, but Rama is unharmed.
* BaldOfAwesome: In ''Berandal''.
* CombatPragmatist: If he isn't beating you to death with his fists, he's either throwing things, kicking, breaking, stabbing, slamming, headbutting, and slicing you with your own knife.

* BaldOfAwesome: In ''Berandal''.
''Berandal'', his head is shaved thanks to his undercover stay in prison and he's just as if not more badass as before.
* BroomstickQuarterstaff: During a rainy day in the prison, he's resting and holding a broomstick. Naturally when a bunch of gang members are about to ambush him. He takes his time to slowly spin the pole out of the broom head and uses it to a decent effect against most of them before he loses it.
* CombatPragmatist: If he isn't beating you to death with his fists, fists or using weapons, he's either throwing things, kicking, breaking, stabbing, slamming, headbutting, and slicing you with your own knife.knife.
* DualWielding: Wields both a combat knife and a [[LawmanBaton nightstick]] in the first film. He also does this several times in the sequel, such as making use of two prison guard batons during the prison riot and breaks two bottles when he is ambushed and the fight goes into a local restaurant.

* LightningBruiser: You'd be hard-pressed to find ''anyone'' who is faster, stronger, and out and out more Badass than Rama.

* TheStoic: Rama can emote when he needs to, but he keeps up a stone faced calmness through much of his appearances.
* TookALevelInBadass: Not to say he wasn't an excellent fighter before, but in the sequel he level grinds in badassery when he's in prison.

* SinisterShiv: During the prison riot, he manages to steal a few of the prisoners shanks and uses them against the other prisoners that try to kill him.

* Foil: To Rama. Both are very competent fighters but Prakoso is an aging assassin while Rama is a cop, relatively new to the force. They were both forced to leave their families behind due to their respective occupations. * DirtyCoward: Has shades of this. Unlike Mad Dog, the Assassin always fights in a position that gives him an advantage. He only fights Prakroso after the latter is very wounded and exhausted from fighting and killing dozens of mooks (sent to kill him as well), and the moment Rama gets the upper hand on their last fight he quickly grabs his karambits, despite having no problem fighting hand-to-hand at first.

* WorfHadTheFlu: He floors Rama when he surprises him in their first fight, but when they fight on even terms, [[spoiler:Rama wins.]] Turns out the surprise mattered.

* WorfHadTheFlu: Twice:
**
He defeats and kills Prakroso, after the hitman has completely destroyed and killed countless mooks without breaking a sweet. But the Assassin engages him in a fight when Prakroso is severely injured and tired from all the fighting, and he was unarmed whereas the Assassin had his karambits.

* ProperlyParanoid: Exhibits this trait after his release from prison as part of his infiltration in Bangun’s gang. The first thing he does when he gets a new set of clothes is check for a wire and promptly tear it out when he finds it. When he get to his apartment, he turns up the music loud, swaps out the SIM card he had and chews out his boss for planting a wire on him when Bangun made him strip so he can check Rama’s clothes for a wire. He also orders Bunawar and his men to keep their distance due to the danger Bangun and his gang pose.
