* ArchnemesisDad: Subverted. He may be Devon's father and attempts to harm Astral's homeland, but he never specifically antagonizes or tries to bring harm to Devon, and still comes across as a decent authority figure. Devon himself would tell Astral his dad wasn't an evil villain, as he was always there for him and genuinely cared for him, Astral and Brendoni, despite not having the best intentions.

* WellIntentionedExtremist: While Peter did have plans to bulldoze Evermoor Woods and destroy various trees in the forest-- including the central tree where Athenia secretly resided -- it was a sacrifice he ultimately had to make for his plans to build a research center that would gather environmental scientists all over the world. One forest for the future nature in general, and it seemingly wouldn't do much harm. [[spoiler: However, this verges onto NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist when it's revealed he was not only King Oberon's older brother -- and therefore, knew full well about the secret world of Athenia, and yet deliberately chose those woods for the center, knowing he's endangering thousands of lives -- but also that he was intentionally planning to bulldoze the tree during a solar ellipse, where the fairies would lose their powers and be mostly helpless to fight back. Clearly, part of his plans for environmentalist center is primarily about destroying Athenia more than anything.]]

* UncertainDoom: It's unclear whether she's dead, or whether she's still alive but absent from The Quinces' lives. She's always referred to in the past tense, with characters saying, she's "gone" and "my time with [her] was too short"... although nobody ever specifically stated she was dead, or how she disappeared.

Devon's father as well as Astral and Brendoni's parental guardian during their temporary stay in the other world. He's a businessman who has plans for a research center meant to gather scientists from across the globe and help the environment.\\

...Although it's later revealed that he's actually King Oberon's older brother -- therefore Astral's uncle -- who left Athenia and forfeited being king, for a normal life in the human world. He's perfectly aware of the secret world residing in Evermoor Woods, and wants bulldoze the main tree down knowing full well of all the lives he'll be putting in danger in the process.

* AbdicateTheThrone: Petrithon was next in line to be the ruler of Athenia once, but he stepped down in order to stay together with a woman in the mortal world, leaving his younger brother Oberon to be the next king by default.

* AllForNothing: Back when Petrithon was in Athenia next-in-line to its king, he had gotten curious about life in the human world, despite his brother's wishes and used his "other" walk to take a closer look at it ([[GenerationXerox not unlike his niece and her own curiously]]). While in the "other world he'd fall in love with a mortal woman and attempt to bring her back to Athenia as his soulmate. Unfortunately, "others"/humans were prohibited from becoming rulers of the kingdom, so Petrithon had to make a choice between becoming king of Athenia and abandoning the love of his life, or stepping down from the throne to be with his love in the mortal world. He ultimately chose the latter option, and left Athenia forever to be with his love. Unfortunately, the choice would ultimately prove to be futile as the woman would ([[UncertainDoom presumably]]) pass away at an unknown point birth to Devon, meaning he had abandoned the Athenian crown for nothing. [[spoiler: This would also serve as tragic {{foreshadowing}} of what would happen between Astral and Tristan]]

* CainAndAbel: He serves as the Cain to Oberon's Abel, as he wanted to bulldoze down the tree to Athenia knowing full-well just how many innocent lives he'd be endangering in the process.

* EvenEvilCanBeLoved: Astral recognized how Mr. Quince/Petrithon had left Athenia due to romantic feelings he gained on a human woman, and how mortals couldn't be rulers of the kingdom, and how she passed away not long after they married in the human world leaving him heartbroken. So, then she'd try to set him up into another relationship, by charming him and Principal Williams into falling in love in an attempt to console him enough to convince him to back down from the project. Although, once again the plan would backfire. Though Astral would still show sympathy for Mr. Quince's loss even after everything he's done.
** On top of that even after everything he's done, Astral and Devon still respect him, considering all the care and protection he provided them up to that point.

* EvilUncle: He serves this role towards Astral and Brendoni, after revealing his relationship with Oberon and his intentions to destroy her homeland.
* LongLostRelative: He turns out to be King Oberon's long-lost older brother who had abandoned his chance to rule Athenia so he could be with the love of his life who was a mortal woman.

* ObviousVillainSecretVillain: He serves as the Secret Villain to Versitude's Obvious Villain, as unlike Versitude -- who's established to be evil almost immediately after her introduction -- Petrithon seems like a ReasonableAuthorityFigure, as his true colors aren't revealed until Season 1's second half.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Prior to his big reveal, he comes across as a strict, but well-intentioned adult figure who Devon and Astral could look up to for advice, even after his construction plan fails, and his true nature's exposed, he's still partly willing to hear Devon's thoughts

* UnknownRelative: For more than half the first season, Astral and Brendoni had no idea that he was their uncle and King Oberon's long-lost brother, just assuming he was Devon's father and nothing more.

* AmbigouslyHuman: The Season 1 finale reveals that Tristan was actually a fairy masquerading as an ordinary teenage boy, so who's to say that his mother isn't secretly a fairy herself? Unfortunately, there were only a few minutes of the season left, and with the show not getting renewed, this never gets resolved, and it's left unclear whether Tristan's mother is a fairy like him.

* WalkingSpoiler: So... you think Mr. Quince is just your typical father in a teen sitcom who's not important to the plot at hand? Keep watching...
