* HeroicNeutral: She's the current Fire Lord, and while both her father and her son have directly helped out the Avatar, Izumi herself and the Fire Nation in general have been uninvolved with any of the show's conflicts. Even when Kuvira is on the way to Republic City with a superweapon in tow, Izumi refuses to drag the Fire Nation back into the throes of war again, at least not as an aggressor. When the plan is to go on the defensive, Izumi does offer her support and her troops.

Her son has also described her as someone who would be willing to assist or at least hear out the Avatar. Though considering her later position regarding the Earth Empire, it's unlikely that she would've lent military support in the Water Tribe Civil War based solely on Korra's word at the time, but thankfully Korra didn't need any assistance from her, or anyone for that matter as the enemy was something only the Avatar could defeat.
