Forgot some of the stuff he said.

* BecameTheirOwnAntithesis: Given that the spell to create the time loop requires him to sacrifice his own life and he admits he wasn't expecting to remember each loop, that means at one point Sentius truly was who he appeared to be: the leader of a city living under a divine rule which would cause all their deaths if even one person broke, trapped on a day where it's seemingly impossible to prevent someone breaking the rule. He might have already imprisoned his own daughter, but if willing to give his own life that would have made him a WellIntentionedExtremist. But after who knows how long reliving the same day, he has become the exact opposite of who he once was as he now abuses the time loop to live forever and enjoy a day where nothing goes wrong.

Added DiffLines:

* VillainousValour: Since he apparently had not expected the ritual to allow him to remember the previous loops, that means despite having imprisoned his own daughter simply to prevent her revealing a way out of the city because he actually enjoyed living there, he was fully prepared to sacrifice his life even if it was only PragmaticVillainy.

A developmentally-disabled man innocently picking up something that doesn't belong to him is a sin worthy of death, but slave-taking, gouging someone for lifesaving medicine, and homophobic hate crimes and abduction all get a pass.pass (his reasoning seems to be that evil men like Desius and Malleolus fully expect others to be as ruthless to them as they are to others, and thus their conduct doesn't break the Golden Rule, whereas Duli is just intelligent enough to be upset when people take things from him, so he shouldn't take things from other people).

* ItsAllAboutMe: [[spoiler: His ultimate motive, as he himself explains. While his body has to die in order to restart the time loop, this is no obstacle for him due to retaining his memories, and in the meantime he can live forever.]]
forever.
--> Sentius: [[spoiler: ''"Why? Isn't it obvious? Because I have grown attached to all this: my title, my beautiful villa, the sun on my face, the music of birds chirping... And as long as this day keeps repeating itself, I get to enjoy it all, over and over again, for eternity. Don't you see? I've found a way to prolong my life indefinitely. To cheat death! I have become, in effect, as immortal as the gods! Can you honestly say you would not wish the same for yourself?''"]]

* JerkassHasAPoint: His imprisonment of Duli seems cruel, but he notes that he keeps the man fed and comfortable and that it would be too dangerous to let someone with his cleptomaniac tendencies roam free in a city given the Golden Rule forbids theft. * JustBetweenYouAndMe: [[spoiler: Has particular power since he and the travelers are the only people with Ripple Effect Proof Memories, meaning he has the power to taunt and goad them without them being able to alert anybody else and have it stick to the next cycle. * LackOfEmpathy: [[spoiler: He gleefully describes how he watched Al Worth descend into despair over repeated loops, eventually taking his own life, and encourages the player to do the same, saying he'll just get another divine agent to exploit.]]
* LaserGuidedKarma: Every one of the game's endings includes his death in some way. He either gets [[spoiler: turned into a golden statue in the canon ending, is directly murdered by the player in one optional ending, and is set on fire by Sentilla in the other two.]]
* LoadBearingBoss: [[spoiler:Essentially acts as one. Since he's the only one who knows the prayer to reset the time loop, killing him will result in a TemporalParadox that will boot the protagonist back to the present day, regardless of whether or not you're responsible for his murder. This is how you get all but the canon ending.]]
* MotiveRant: [[spoiler: Happens if you choose to confront him about his kidnapping his daughter, during which time he shows his real colors, the reasons why he is doing what he does, and the fact that he [[RippleEffectProofMemory remembers Al and all the previous loops.]]]]
* NotAfraidToDie: [[spoiler:Oddly enough, given his quest for immortality. Proserpina's prayer, which resets the time loop, kills the person who uses it. However, as a soldier, Sentius has overcome his fear of dying and is able to use it to reset time endlessly.]]
** [[spoiler: This is helped by the fact that he retains all his memories from one loop to the next.]]
