The spin-off would not have small shoes to fill with an unprecedented three consecutive acclaimed seasons preceding it. Unfortunately, this season more than crossed the barrier from ToughActToFollow to inexcusably weak. The biggest failing of the season would be the new host. Beau Ryan clearly wanted to make himself the star of the show and would take any chance he could to show off for the camera, often detracting attention away from the competition. The editing style took an unprecedented and panned approach of using an editing style that made the show feel like a video journal for the host, and by consequence purple-editing every single team, despite the majority of the teams showing a lot of personality and gameplay potential. The tasks, while varied with no bias in skill-set, were almost entirely taken from other versions and were considerably easier than past seasons. It was the first Australian season to not circumnavigate the globe nor go to a country the US version would dare visit. The production crew made numerous mistakes throughout such as putting a U-Turn in the final 4, and planning a leg in Mongolia the same day Vladmir Putin visited. While this was already a glaring failure of understanding the {{Metagame}}, it also eliminated two of the fan favorite teams. Not all was terrible though in the season, however. The cast, if you can look past the editing, were well chosen and showed a lot of skill at the game. The route was actually quite ambitious in spite of its aforementioned failures, being more successful than some American versions (even omitting seasons like
[[Characters/TheAmazingRaceFamilyEdition 8: Family Edition]], [[Characters/TheAmazingRace33 33]], and [[Characters/TheAmazingRace34 34]]). Lastly, the finale was actually good compared to the rest of the season with a winner that had a good underdog storyline.

* ShockingElimination: On Leg [[spoiler:6 in Mangolia, they are unable to find a clue box in the luck based sand searching challenge. This sets them back by 4 hours, on top of another 2 hour penalty for not getting a box with further delays from a bad traffic jam. Despite completing every other task in the leg well, the aforementioned delays from factors outside of their control are enough to see them eliminated. They still manage to stay positive at the end though.]]

* EpicFail: Lampshaded by Nico, who said they were the first team in any edition of the Race not to complete a Roadblock or Detour. Discounting teams eliminated by a Starting Line challenge, he is correct. (See Tragic Mistake below)

** This was [[RunningGag played up as a defining trait of theirs]], to the point where their own allies stated that "'...in a taxi, they could end up in another country!'". Beau greeted them on checking in 4th place with: "'and you didn't get lost this time!'". In a post-Race interview pointed out they [[https://10daily.com.au/entertainment/tv/a191126blrxj/i-thought-i-was-the-best-at-directions-femi-and-nick-say-they-practiced-navigation-before-the-race-20191126 had "practised navigation before the Race"]].

* DeathByIrony: They were effectively eliminated from the Race...for [[spoiler: Speeding]]!

* MoralMyopia: They complained about Hayley & Mikaylya accidentally taking their cab and merely receiving aid from Tom & Tyler despite asking for task solutions and deliberately hindering other teams on the race themselves. They also get angry at Jasmine & Jerome for not working with them in the intersection despite believing that they had successfully sent them the wrong way in leg 1.
* PluckyComicRelief: In leg 3, they comically bicker and fail to row a boat with their feet. They decide to swap detours; with Sid jumping out and wading with the declaration that "we're not rowing back!". Only to find later that Jasmine and Jerome had U-turned them causing them to bicker more and stumble through the same task. Throughout this their course language is bleeped out and the locals laugh at the antics.
When trying to navigate to the pitstop, they are the one team who take the road to the summit instead, with the camera man panning across the path they should have taken. It's only after they reach the summit that they ask a local who points out the location is back the way they came; letting out one last swear, they trek back down.

In leg 7, they lose a narrow lead to Jasmine & Jerome by forgetting to unlock the car to retrieve their bags.

Sisters from Queensland. They were known for their upbeat attitudes and often speaking in sync or rhymes with each other. With their positivity, strength and skills in tasks and navigation they quickly became fan favourites.

* CrackDefeat: Despite the two hour penalty, they might've survived the leg to mistake-prone Femi & Nick if the show had bothered to research that Vladmir Putin was coming to Mongolia that day causing a massive traffic jam and scheduled the leg around that rather than causing a bigger delay to teams who couldn't beat the dune digging task.

* FriendlyRivalry: Highly competitive, they were on good terms with most teams, besides Sid & Ash (after accidentally claiming their taxi when it parks on the other side of the road).

When Adrienne acts aggressive towards other teams during the heat of leg 4, they smile with the response:
''"That's alright, we'll still beat ya!"''

When offered an alliance by Tom & Tyler they respond with:
''"Oooh, Big words :)!''
Stating that they consider their relationship more of a friendship than an alliance to commit to.

* TragicMistake: Following an incorrect postcard being focussed on by another team, they proceed to go way off course. Navigating to the wrong location cost the pair several hours, long enough to fall to the last place.

Influencers from Bondi, New South Wales. Eliminated in 6th after being established as the clear villains.

* AsianAndNerdy: They excelled in almost all intellectual challenges in the race (including flying a drone for the first time).

* ShockingElimination: Winning almost every leg, their competitors saw them as "unbeatable" and took the chance to vote to uturn them on the penultimate leg (including members of their alliance). Tom & Tyler managed to just catch up with the others, but spending too long perfecting the decorations in the last challenge, allowed Jasmine & Jerome to check in a mere minute before them.

Mighty Siblings from Victoria. Due to using their grit, multilingualism and intellect to overcome disadvantages related to their height, they quickly became fan favourites. They gradually expanded their alliance with Tom & Tyler to other teams, successfully avoiding social conflict until the penultimate leg. They achieved strong placements at the start of the race, but narrowly avoided elimination in Mongolia (getting lost and swapping detours once) and in two of the Africa legs. In the final leg they gained an early lead with the dog-training and horse-taming challenges, but then fell behind with the final puzzle to come third.

Deadly Duo[[note]]aside from the obvious meaning, "deadly" is a word Indigenous people use to mean "excellent"[[/note]], and the Race's first Indigenous team. From the Northern Territory, which they thought would come in handy...until an uncooperative dog called Elsa caused them to fall behind during the dog-training task and they came in second.

Mighty Siblings from Victoria. They gained an early lead with the dog-training and horse-taming challenges, but then fell behind with the final puzzle to come third.

Victorian Footy Mates who played AFL together for six years. After being U-Turned and completing their Ganesh statue within minutes of Jasmin and Jerome in Thailand, they ended up eliminated just before the final leg.

Nurses. Eliminated in 5th after the sandal-making challenge caused them to fall behind.

Sisters. They raced near the front of the pack in the first four legs, but hit bad luck in Mongolia. Along with Nick & Femi, they were unable to dig up a box from the sand dunes within the four-hour time limit. While the nurses' taxi was able to get around the traffic caused by Vladimir Putin's visit to Ulaanbaatar, the sisters were not so lucky. They arrived at the Leg 6 Pit Stop after Nick & Femi's 2-hour penalty for failing to complete the digging challenge had already expired, putting them out in 7th.

* IWorkAlone: While they did accept an alliance offer from Sid & Ash, they became the least interested in forming alliances as the competition progressed, preferring to run their own race. They became amused when Tom & Tyler helping them in leg 7 as the weren't interested in allying with their strongest competitors.
