His innocence begins to slip away over time, though. [[spoiler:It starts when he discovers Father Magin has been preaching lies to protect his people: he made his mother leave Addai Village so its capacity would stay at 50, allowing them to survive. This time around, Gimmy and Darry must leave, but Rossiu leaves the village as well, knowing someone must look after them. Father Magin gives him a book to remember him by as a keepsake- and perhaps one day, learn what the language it's written in means. Rossiu and the kids join Team Gurren on the journey to stop the Spiral King.]] As he enters more battles, he gains a greater sense of determination, but Kamina enjoys calling him "Forehead Boy" nonetheless. Gimmy and Darry are twin siblings of Rossiu. When they were children, they were removed from their village due to limit population because they were orphans. However Rossiu joined them along with Team Gurren(later known as Team Dai-Gurren).

Jorgun Bakusa and Balinbow Bakusa are the towering, twin brothers of Team Dai-Gurren, piloting the two-faced Gunmen, Twinboekun, and also [[spoiler: Space Twinboekun]]. They are extremely loud and exuberant brothers who love to beat stuff up- but seem to have the minds of cavemen. That, and [[SingleMindedTwins they think staggeringly alike.]] The brother often speak in [[HulkSpeak monosyllabic bursts]], but their battle prowness is terrifying. Somehow, they end up with ''government'' positions after the time skip. [[spoiler:Sadly, [[HeroicSacrifice they don't live to the very end.]] To keep the Anti-Spirals from wasting Gimmy and Darry, they put their own Gunmen in the line of fire to throw their disabled Grapearls to safety, which leads to their deaths- but the following explosion takes out a good number of enemy mecha. A memorial is erected in their honor. The second movie, however, spares them the shaft and they get to square off in the FinalBattle.]]

She pilots Sayrune, a vile Gunmen that transforms into a scorpion, and uses an aquatic centipede flagship named the Dai-Gunkai. Unlike her fellow generals, she has the ability to make water appear out of thin air- and tons of it at that. [[spoiler: When she first confronts Team Dai-Gurren, Adiane reveals that Lordgenome has effectively thrown his own daughter Nia to the wayside, now meant to die, but the team (minus the grief-stricken Simon) barges in to stop Adiane from killing her. Eventually, she boasts to the Spiral King she can single-handedly avenge Thymilph but fails miserably, making it impossible to face him again out of shame. She makes a second attempt to kill Nia by taking her hostage and bringing in her flagship- only this time, Simon has snapped out of his funk, and he effectively destroys it, while Yoko takes a risky shot to free Nia from Sayrune's claws. Unfortunately for her, she ordered Team Dai-Gurren to turn all its guns on Nia- which are now locked on to her own Gunmen. When she thinks they won't risk blowing up their own ship, Attenborough decides to fry her with the cannons.
