* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: When you get your behind handed to you by a nine year old [[NewPowersAsThePlotDemands who up to that point had no previous indication of her martial arts prowless]], you've pretty much sunk as far as you can go on the villain scale.

* KnightOfCerebus: Things get serious once he appears, and he represents the only real time Tenchi was at risk of dying. Clay and Z have brief moments of tension surrounding them, but they never make the same impression that Kagato did.
