* BaitTheDog: A consistent characterization amongst almost all of them is that their LaughablyEvil and AffablyEvil personalities inevitably give way too depravity. For instance Scout and Soldier have a heartwarming talk about quitting the team to start their dream of having opening an orphanage... to give them children to kill.

* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: Classic Scout and Soldier think about taking off and starting an orphanage when things get rough. [[spoiler: Unfortunately for them, Pyro had other ideas.]]

** It should be noted that even before she did this, her appearance is ''very'' deceiving. When delivering a BigShutUp to the Engineer only moments before, she manages to actually ''crack'' the window with a single punch, despite looking so old and feeble that she could crumble into dust at any moment, and is dropping in and out of death.

* OmnidisciplinaryScientist: Averted for the Classic Engie, who responds to the Classic Heavy telling him to make more life-extenders by saying that it would take more biology knowledge than he has and that he's primarily a [[TheTurretMaster automated defense system engineer]]. He doesn't have the eleven [=PhD=]'s that [[Characters/TeamFortress2Defense his son]] does.

** The Classic Engie seems to slip into this role after Classic Heavy makes his [[ImmortalitySeeker intentions]] clear, at least in conversation with him.

* PutOnABus: Classic Medic is either fully retired or dead.

* TrueSight: It's revealed Classic Sniper got eye replacements that give him a version of this, one that can see through everything including Spy disguises
-->"I ''trusted'' him. To pluck out my eyes and replace 'em with ''these''. Damn things see through ''everything''. Can't sleep at night, they see right through my ''eyelids''. But let me tell you, it's ''worth'' it to see you rat**** spies coming."

** Classic Sniper [[EvilGloating gloats to the Modern Spy]] instead of killing him on the spot, which gives Modern Sniper enough time to climb through the window and kill him with his own sniper rifle.

* {{Foil}}: Their interaction with the modern team is [[PredecessorVillain a complete iteration of changes]] that deals with Mann Co. through the course of its history; how they deal with their own teammates, how their team as a whole will survive the impact from the other and how they are associated with the Mann's, the Hale's and the Administrator. Each [[{{Pun}} Class]]-ic has a short share of detail despite how the comic series is focused on the main team characters, and how they are brutally [[KilledOffForReal killed off by their modern counterparts]].
