* CopycatSue: While [[spoiler: within his mental realm]]. He attacks with copies of several of Chiro's core battle movies, and wears his costume for that part of the episode (as well as briefly becoming a ComicBook/HumanTorch expy as [[WreathedInFlames "Flaming Krinkle"]]).

* GodModeSue: Basically his nature while [[spoiler: in his mental realm]]. Justified, as he's the real enemy there, and any additional adversary is ultimately summoned by his will (or subconscious desire) and under his control.
* HandBlast: One of his "new abilities" in his second appearance, with both unnamed blue energy blasts he attacks Chiro with at first, then later his "Krinkle Fu" once he starts CopycatSue-ing Chiro.

* AbsenteeActor: For some reason, she doesn't appear in most of the episodes of Season 4 despite being a member of the Hyperforce by that point.

* DarthVaderClone: Main antagonist, wears a cape, [[spoiler:revealed to have been a good alchemist and the creator of the Hyperforce until he was corrupted by evil]]. After his resurrection in the Season Four finale, his new body looks even more like Darth Vader. Bonus points for being voiced by Creator/MarkHamill, who played the original Darth Vader's son.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: She has pink hair.

* SkunkStripe: Has a red stripe in the middle of her head.

He pilots Fist Rocket 4, which becomes the left hand of the Super Robot. His main weapon is his Drillers.

* ThisIsADrill: The weapons his hands transform into are two drills. Unlike many other examples, he can use them for more than drill attacks; he can shoot energy from the tips, or suck in material like water or snow and shoot that.

* {{Cyborg}}: All of the monkeys are actually cyborgs. [[spoiler: Upon being resurrected, Antauri is completely robotic.]]

* FunnyAnimal: With the exception of Chiro, they're cartoonish primates inhabiting mechanical bodies, and all of them have their share of comedic moments.

* BareFistedMonk: He's the only one who doesn't use any weapons and relies either on energy attacks or hand-to-hand combat.

* HorrifyingTheHorror: Frightens one of the Dark one observing them back as a monkey. Takes some serious guts there.

* MakeMeWannaShout: The Monkey Mind Scream technique is a variation of such since it's not just the soundwaves, but the mystic energies empowering it. Chiro himself does not use the technique often, having only used it twice in the series, both of whic were in heightened states of power.
* MeaningfulName: Per WordofGod, Chiro comes from "Ichiro" meaning "first son in Japanese. Additionally, Chiro in name and spelling is very similar to that of "chi-rho", a monogram of "chi" (Χ) and "rho" (Ρ) as the first two letters of Greek Khristos as in Christ.
* MechanicalAnimals: The Robot Monkey are... well... robot monkeys (although they're cyborg in nature).

* EvilAllAlong: For the first three seasons they served primarily as friendly background characters, and their personalities didn't range far beyond "token kindly old couple." Come season four, they're revealed to have been in a cult that worshiped the show's main villain the entire time.

* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous: Per WordOfGod, he is named after WilliamGibson.

* TheCorruption: [[spoiler:He was corrupted by [[GodOfEvil The Dark Ones]] and turned into the [[BigBad Skeleton King]].]]

* FunnyAnimal: Despite being a wise and intelligent primate, Antauri is still pretty funny by virtue of being TheComicallySerious and NotSoAboveItAll.

* ThemeDeck: Essentially how all their various powers and monkey hands work. Antauri comes closest to Averting it, as he combines claw attacks, martial arts, Power Primate mysticism (mostly but not always manifesting as telekinesis), and [[spoiler: his new purely-mechanical body's gadgets]].
** There's also a loose theme of each monkey having a melee weapon, several named attacks with these weapons, and at least one named energy attack, although there's almost as many exceptions as straight plays - Sparx's magnets are primarily ranged weapons that can be used as melee ones, and all his named attacks are ranged attacks or defensive moves, Gibson's drill blasters fire unnamed energy attacks (and he has very few named attacks, instead opting for unnamed attacks and/or pragmatically exploiting enemy attacks or the environment), and Otto's saws are explicitly made out of energy and can be thrown or fired and replaced as an unnamed ranged attack.

* AssholeVictim: Mandarin has been subjected to some very painful and humiliating experiences throughout the series which can come across as rather cathartic given what a jerk he is:
** Back when he was still the leader of the Hyperforce, Mandarin decided to train Nova to endure in harsh cold. It is quite obvious this was an early sign of Mandarin's sadism as he continued to drop the temperature to near-lethal levels until Nova snapped and unleashed a blast of fire upon him. Keep in mind this was ''before'' his FaceHeelTurn and both Chiro and Sparx are of the opinion that he deserved every bit of Nova's wrath. Even Nova, who looked back on this incident with shame, seemed more bothered by the damage she did to the Super Robot than any harm she inflicted on Mandarin.
** The original Mandarin has been replaced twice. First by Chiro as the leader of the HyperForce and then by his own clone as Skeleton King's servant.
