* RottenRockAndRoll: Loves rock and metal music, and also is a monstrous SerialKiller.

* KickTheDog: {{Subverted}}. She bullies her seemingly kind younger sister Kanade... however, with the reveal of Kanade's true depraved nature, one can easily say Kanade deserved far worse.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Kinjou delivers some well deserved bullets onto AI!Mikado after Sora and Syobai ensure that his plans have failed.

* PetTheDog: Despite opnely acknowledging himself as the Mastermind of this Killing Game, Mikado acts as a gracious host to the other students and wants to get along with everyone during the peaceful periods, even always taking the time of preparing meals for everyone to eat. This ends up [[SubvertedTrope majorly subverted]] in that it's [[FauxAffablyEvil all a facade]] the Alter Ego Mikado is putting on based on the original Mikado's personality. None of his kind acts are genuine, and he's in truth a sadistic monster who ''wants'' to see everyone suffer and die, [[BadBoss up to and including the other members of Void.]]

* HateSink: While seemingly a sweet and submissive victim of her sister's bullying, Kanade is at her core a remorseless SerialKiller who's been secretly manipulating and conditioning Hibiki to be completely dependent on her, killing or crippling whoever got too close to Hibiki and even turning her into a living puppet for her pleasure whenever she makes her pass out. Making Hibiki kill Setsuka, the person who acted like a CoolBigSis to her, and waking her up just so she can revel in her despair when they're both executed makes you hate her all the more. She's even this InUniverse, becoming outright loathed by everyone when she's exposed for what she did to Setsuka and Hibiki, and disgusting them all to the point they don't care one bit when she's executed. LINUJ admits in his commentary to favoring Hibiki over Kanade, which is completely {{justified|Trope}}.

* PointlessBand-Aid: She has one on her right knee.

** Like Kokichi Ouma, she seems pure and innocent at the surface, but has a rotten personality, is an [[ConsummateLiar excellent manipulator and liar]] that sports a plethora of [[NightmareFace Nightmare Faces]] and leads a life of crime outside of the Killing Game, shows herself to be hyper-intelligent (being able to accurately figure out both every culprit and the truth behind the killing game before anyone else does) but extremely condescending to everyone else during the trials to the point of [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain casually calling them slurs]], and had subjected one of her classmates to prolonged emotional abuse which eventually culminated in forcing that classmate into committing a murder (which the classmate doesn't remember doing due to the circumstances under which they've been forced) and gleefully watched them despair as they are executed. Both Kokichi and Kanade also receive no real comeuppance for their crimes even in death due to circumstances of their demise allowing both of them to get exactly what they wanted (to upstage the mastermind for Kokichi, to see Hibiki despair in her last moments for Kanade).

* IResembleThatRemark: In the Chapter 3 trial, she tells Sora that she might "throw up at the sight of [her] disgusting face"... while flashing her most horrific NightmareFace out of ''eleven'' different {{Nightmare Face}}s.

* PsychologicalProjection: In the Chapter 3 trial, she calls Sora "nothing but a disgusting parasite" for relying on Syobai's theory, lambasts her for her "sheer arrogance", and then tells her she's going to "throw up from the sight of [her] disgusting face". Which is pretty rich, considering her abusive relationship with her sister, her malignant narcissism, and her staggering number of {{Nightmare Face}}s (the worst of which [[IResembleThatRemark she is showing off]] as she's yelling all of this).

* HarsherInHindsight: As much as you can call it hindsight since the moments are close to each other, but Kanade mentioned that the final step in her plan of Hibiki as her mental puppet is to kill their parents. And it is revealed at the end of Trial 3 that she killed them already, all but confirming that she succeeded with her plan outside of the killing game.

* {{Expy}}: Like [[VisualNovel/DanganronpaV3KillingHarmony Korekiyo Shinguji]], Kanade is a serial killer who's obsessed with her sister. However, whereas Korekiyo killed in order to give his dead sister "friends", Kanade made sure that she alone would be her sister's only love; quite the inverse of his motivations.

* MeaningfulName: Hajime's last name is based on Makunouchi, a popular style of Japanese bentō containing rice and portions of fish, meat, and vegetables, which are all healthy foods, explaining its relation to Hajime's apparent obsession with health.

* CuteAndPsycho: There's no getting around the fact that she, like her twin sister, is adorable. There's also no getting around that she completely and utterly sick in the head.

* FanDisservice: At the end of her TTS in Trial 3, she ends up topless and covers herself somewhat. Her unsettling and scary behavior through said trial certainly leads to this trope, not to mention everything after the trial.

* HolyBurnsEvil: [[ImpliedTrope Implied]]. One of her least favorite presents to receive from Sora is a bottle of holy water, and she's the only person to not have a neutral reaction to this present. And as for the evil part, well...

* MaskOfSanity: She is very good at putting on a facade of sanity, until Chapter 3 where she's revealed to be a deranged SerialKiller.

* NightmareFace: Pulls off some in Chapter 3 that would put even [[VisualNovel/DanganronpaV3KillingHarmony Kokichi]] to shame. According to LINUJ, some of her nastiest sprites were inspired by him.

* PsychologicalProjection: Calls Syobai and Sora "disgusting" towards the end of the Chapter 3 trial, where she's eventually revealed to be a [[{{Sadist}} sadistic]] SerialKiller.
* PutTheLaughterInSlaughter: She thinks her sister's [[OffWithHerHead execution]] is hilarious.

* TattooedCrook: Her [[BossBattle Terminate Talk Shooting]] shows off an intricate black tattoo that covers her whole left arm and shoulder. She isn't seen with it at the beginning of the game, which means it's either there [[ObviouslyEvil for effect]] or she [[LotusEaterMachine got it later]].

* TookALevelInJerkass: During the trials, she tends to become much more mean-spirited and casually insults her classmates when they annoy/frustrate her. This ends up serving as foreshadowing as to what her [[TheSociopath actual nature]] is.

* {{Yandere}}: Kanade desired her sister Hibiki's love more than anything and later on lusted for her. When the latter, jealous of Kanade's natural talent, wanted nothing to do with her, Kanade snapped and became a SerialKiller who went as far as to kill 60 people, including her own parents and Hibiki's dog, in order to ensure Hibiki could only rely on her for comfort and thus became emotionally dependent on her. She also conditioned Hibiki into entering an emotionless state where she's completely subservient to Kanade and forced her to kill her best friend Setsuka.
