After Angel Cake apologizes and Strawberry realizes that she should have been honest, they are able to fix things

Strawberry Shortcake's younger sister. She's smaller and less independent than the others, but is capable of taking care of herself when the situation arises.
----
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: In "Baby Takes The Cake", she wants to help her sister and friends cook but she just keeps making a mess and getting in their way and this annoys Strawberry's friends a little.
* ArtisticAge: Despite being treated as a "baby" character, Apple Dumplin' acts more as a toddler with her being able to walk and talk.
* CharacterFocus: "Baby Takes The Cake" where she is upset about being too little to help Strawberry and her friends cook. She has a dream where the roles are reversed and learns that she might not be ready to cook yet but not for always.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In Seasons 1 and 2, due to being a baby, Apple Dumplin' speaks with few words and sentences. Season 3 has her speaking in more complete simple sentences with little errors in the way she talks. Season 4 has her speaking more fluently due to being aged up.
* ElmerFuddSyndrome: After all, she is a baby. In her ImagineSpot in "Baby Takes the Cake" in which she's an adult, she loses this, but keeps ThirdPersonPerson.
* GirlishPigtails: Gets a pair of pigtails with little apples between them as the ties on the 2007 redesign.
* JustAKid: In "Baby Takes the Cake", when Strawberry and friends decide to cook, she wants to help too but she just keeps making messes and Strawberry tells her in a nice way that she is too little to help which upsets her. However, in the ending, Strawberry tells her that she won't be little forever and that she'll grow up.
* KidHeroAllGrownUp: She starts off as a baby, but in the third season of the 2003 series, she is more of a toddler who can speak in ThirdPersonPerson sentences until the fourth season, when she is a kid who speaks full sentences.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: She's the sister of Strawberry Shortcake, when her original incarnation wasn't related to Strawberry at all.
* TagalongKid: Apple is this, but Strawberry and friends don't mind at all.
* ThirdPersonPerson: But it zig-zags quite a bit. She tends to refer to other characters in the third-person also.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Apple is more of a sweet and naive little baby who wears a dress while Strawberry wears a more gender neutral outfit who is also sweet but more daring and adventurous.

A cake decorator who lives on Cakewalk, she tends to be a perfectionist at times.
----
* AscendedExtra: Her original incarnation only had a major role in the "Pets on Parade" special. This Angel is a main cast member with a prominent role in many episodes.
* AdaptationalDyeJob: Had purplish hair in her original incarnation, but was made blonde in 2003.
* AdaptationalJerkass: While she is still generally nice, she's a far cry from the overly polite 1980s incarnation, being much more bossy and prone to arguments.
* AlphaBitch: Becomes one near the end of the series, but is still a nice girl and a good friend of Strawberry.
* BlondeBrunetteRedhead: She is the Blonde to Blueberry Muffin's Brunette and Strawberry Shortcake's Redhead.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In Season 1, Angel Cake is generally a sweet girl. The other seasons give her more flaws such as being ThePerfectionist and a SoreLoser and more moments where she is bossy turning her into more of a JerkWithAHeartOfGold.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: She was one of the casualties of Hasbro's "healthy snacks" policy that was in place for the 2009 reboot. Despite being one of the core characters in past iterations, she's had yet to make an appearance since.
* GirlishPigtails: Her 2003 counterpart had them as well as her 2007 redesign.
* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: Wears lilac-colored clothing in a lot of her outfits.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Played straight for the first season. Downplayed in the other seasons due to her change in personality.
* IronicName: Her name is "Angel", yet unlike her overly polite original incarnation, she's much more of a jerk.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Has moments of this at times, especially in "Angel Cake in the Outfield". She can sometimes be bossier than Peppermint.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Although Angel Cake can be bossy and mean at times, she does have a good heart who cares about her friends.
* NiceGirl: Angel Cake is one at heart, especially in the 1980s. Her 2003 incarnation is still one even with her perfectionist tendencies, but it becomes downplayed after she TookALevelInJerkass.
* ThePerfectionist: She is very fastidious in what she does. Strawberry Shortcake lampshades this trope at the start of "Angel Cake in the Outfield".
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: In "Angel Cake in the Outfield", she gets so angry and frustrated about not being good at playing sports that she has a meltdown and storms off. She soon learns how to be a better sport at the end though.
* SoreLoser: The episode "Angel Cake in the Outfield" dealt with this character flaw of hers. She gets better by the episode's end and learns how to be a good sport and just have fun.
* TenderTomboyishnessFoulFemininity: Angel Cake is sweet, but can be mean and bossy sometimes, while Strawberry is more of a tomboy, but still sweet and compassionate to everyone.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The perfectionist girly girl to two tomboys, sporty and adventurous Strawberry Shortcake and perky mechanic Ginger Snap.
* TookALevelInJerkass: Near the end of the series. She even portrays the antagonist in "Sleeping Beauty".

This character made her debut in the second year, where she is one of the contestants in "Peppermint's Pet Peeve", which saw her getting disqualified for cheating at a "Best Pets" competition. Peppermint is rude, arrogant, and generally unpleasant, but she grows out of it eventually, becoming nicer as the series progresses.
----
* AdaptedOut: Completely absent in the 2009 series due to Hasbro's "healthy snacks" policy.
* AlphaBitch: Though she outgrows it later on.
* AntiHero: She serves as one in her introductory episodes. She drops this after her redesign.
* CheatersNeverProsper: In "Peppermint's Pet Peeve", she cheats in the "Best Pets" competition, resulting in her and Cola Chameleon being disqualified.
* DeadpanSnarker: She is pretty snarky at first but becomes nicer at the end.
* DefrostingIceQueen: She starts off as cold and harsh, but grows more kind and friendly over time.
* DislikesTheNewGuy: Was initially unwelcome of Rainbow Sherbet because she is different than everyone else, and her resentment almost results in her leaving for good; she learns her lesson when Strawberry throws a costume party where everything is the same, and Peppermint realizes being the same would be boring.
* FiveStagesOfGrief: She hits all five stages throughout "The Costume Party" in accordance with her negative reaction toward Rainbow Sherbert. She is unwelcome towards her arrival in Strawberryland (denial), repeatedly lashes out at everyone because she's not like them (anger), her words hurt Rainbow and she considers moving away (bargaining), she attends a costume party held by Strawberry where everything's the same and breaks down when she doesn't get what she wants (depression), and apologizes to Rainbow and finally accepts her as a friend, even though she's different (acceptance).
* GenderFlip: The Tin Woodsman is her character during the events of "Berry Brick Road" and the Coachman in "The Play's The Thing", when both are male in the original fairy tales.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Evolves into this.
* HeelFaceTurn: Peppermint starts off as grumpy, snobby, and arrogant, especially when she and the girls meet Rainbow Sherbet, but after she is tricked into going to a Goodbye Party for Rainbow, everyone is wearing the same costume Peppermint was wearing, including Rainbow. This helps Peppermint realize that it's okay to be different than other people and that she shouldn't leave because she's different, and then she apologizes to Rainbow for how she treated her, leading everyone to turn the Goodbye Party into a friendship party.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: "Playing to Beat the Band" reveals that she feels like an outsider and joins Strawberry's band in an attempt to befriend her (despite Strawberry and the others already viewing her as a friend).
* IneffectualLoner: She appears to have jealousy issues, but feels alone until she is befriended by Strawberry and her friends.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Generally the most negative character in the show, but does show a softer side every once in a while. Her more jerkish qualities become more subdued later on.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: See PyrrhicVictory, below.
* NoIndoorVoice: Tends to have this when she gets mad.
* PyrrhicVictory: In "Win Some, Lose Some", Peppermint Fizz celebrates her victory due to the possibility of getting her hands on Strawberry Shortcake's garden, but regrets what she did when Strawberry Shortcake gives Apple Dumplin' the exact opposite of a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech.
* RedOniBlueOni: Strawberry is talkative and sweet while Peppermint is more introverted and stubborn.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Both ends. She gives one to Rainbow indirectly because they are different in "The Costume Party". Keep in mind that in "Peppermint's Pet Peeve", she got on the receiving end for cheating, which caused her to be disqualified! She also gives herself one when she realizes that she hurt the others in "Win Some, Lose Some".
* Tomboy: She is one of the lesser feminine characters.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Peppermint is the most tomboyish female character in the 2003/2007 series, due to not loving fashion or girly stuff, while Strawberry is a TomboyWithAGirlyStreak who is active and energetic but enjoys playing dress up from time to time. Peppermint is also more of a tomboy in comparison to all of Strawberry's other female friends, due to the fact that they all play dress up from time to time but still adventurous.
* TomboyishPonytail: She gained this in her 2007 redesign.

An adventurer and sailor who captains the Rainbow Float boat. She first appears in "Costume Party".
----
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Is absent in future installments.
* EverythingsBetterWithRainbows: Her color scheme is a pastel rainbow.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Rainbow is so happy to meet her new friends as she welcomes them all as they enter her boat and give her 'Welcome to Strawberryland' presents. Pretty soon, when she and Strawberry plan a party, Peppermint tells Strawberry all of her problems with Rainbow being so different that she didn't want to be friends with her, and that Strawberry shouldn't be friends with her either. As Peppermint storms off, Strawberry looks at Rainbow, who is in tears over Peppermint's comments, because all she wanted was to be friends with everyone, including Peppermint. However, in the end, Peppermint soon apologizes to Rainbow and realizes that she likes her because she's different, which Rainbow happily accepts.
* RainbowMotif: She has an extremely colorful outfit like an actual rainbow.
* Tomboy: A tomboyish sailor.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: She is a tomboyish sailor who lives on a boat and lives for adventure but dresses as Rapunzel in A Princess Named Rap.

True to her name, this character has a bit of a mean streak. Raspberry Torte is a tomboy athlete and is very brash (which posed a problem to those around her but she learned to overcome this), but not to the extent of Peppermint Fizz, and has a close friend in Lemon Meringue.
----

* AntiHero: She's got a sharp tongue, which gets her admonished a few times.

* DastardlyWhiplash: Has a very prominent handlebar mustache. He even twirls it at times.
* DreamStealer: He became this in The Sweet Dreams movie by taking over the Dream Factory in order to keep all the dreams to himself because he never got one as a child.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: In the Sweet Dreams movie he nearly ruins dreams for everyone.
* PokeThePoodle: Given the target audience, his schemes never put Strawberry and her friends in danger of anything but inconvenience or depriving them of something they want.
* RevengeBeforeReason: In the Sweet Dreams movie, the Purple Pieman never had dreams. For this, and for his literal thinking causing him to try to literally snatch Strawberry Shortcake's dream away from her in his conquest, he storms the Land of Dreams, deceives its inhabitants, boots out the Sandman, takes over the dream factory, holds the main Dream Builder hostage in a cage dangling over a black hole to blackmail the other dream factory workers, announces that dreams will no longer be shipped out, and then mentions that he never dreamed. After all of this, he continues ruining everything for the Land of Dreams, but he sure finished up a lot of revenge before explaining himself.
* ThinChinOfSin: His chin is thin, and we tend to see him do evil things.
* VerbalTic: According to The Sweet Dreams Movie he even has it in his signature.
* VisionaryVillain: He has lofty dreams of taking over Strawberryland, but never gets to achieve them.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: He has white hair, and is fairly evil.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: Surprisingly, one of the few examples of this being averted, as his design is kept the same from the original series.

* OneOfTheKids: Becomes this over time, after her HeelFaceTurn.

* RepulsiveRingmaster: In "Festival of the Fillies", Licorice Whip kidnaps Honey Pie Pony for his horse circus, where he exploits horses for money by making them do dangerous tricks.
* SinisterSchnoz: He has a large nose, and is a villain.

* VillainSong: Gets one in the form of "Gift Horse Gift".
* WeWillMeetAgain: At the end of "Festival of the Fillies," he swears "You haven't seen the last of me!" The promise could be said to be fulfilled in the [=GBA=] game.

----
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Sherry Bobbleberry was initially an outcast, due to her clumsy nature causing problems. After saving the Berry Fairy World, she was welcomed back with open arms.
* FantasticRankSystem: The Berry Fairies operate under one. There are four ranks for a fairy: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Class, who all operate under the command of the Fairy Queen. Fairies can be promoted by doing well at their jobs, or by performing a great act.
* TheHighQueen: The Fairy Queen.
* OneGenderRace: There's no signs of any male fairies.
* PaintingTheFrostOnWindows: Berry Fairies give fruits in Strawberryland their scents.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Fairy Queen is the only fairy who was willing to listen to Sherry's plan to save their home from an incoming flood, and doesn't ridicule her at all.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: They appear to fill in for the Berrykins of the original series, as fantastical beings who maintain the fruits in Strawberryland.
* TheThingThatWouldNotLeave: Margalo's debut has her take advantage of Strawberry's kind and trusting nature by faking an injury to stay in her house.
* VocalDissonance: A fairy named Spring has this trait. Her look is rather youthful, but she does have the voice of an adult. Seaberry Delight shares this trait with her.

!In general
* ShoutOut: From Literature/Cinderella
!!Cinderella
She's the main heroine, who gets to go to a royal ball with help from her fairy godmother. Played by Strawberry Shortcake under the name "Strawberella".
----
* ButtMonkey: Cinderella experiences most of the abuse that her WickedStepmother and Wicked Step-sisters dish out.
* CainAndAbel: While her wicked stepsisters are "Cain", Cinderella herself is "Abel".
* TheHero: Of course she is, just like she was in the original Literature/Cinderella.
* HeroicBlueScreenOfDeath: After the destruction of her dress when the WickedStepmother steps in, Cinderella experiences this.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: She just looks like Strawberry Shortcake in a costume.
!!The Fairy Godmother
* BigGood: Her goal is to help Cinderella out.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: She is a blonde and is good in alignment.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: She looks younger.
!!Prince Charming
!!Wicked Stepmother
----
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: That is, until Angel Cake rectifies the story.
* BigBad: The Wicked Stepmother and her children (who apparently have been Retcon changed to her stepchildren) serve as this.
* KickTheDog: She sends Cinderella into a HeroicBlueScreenOfDeath by tearing apart the dress chosen by the latter in front of her.
* WickedStepmother: Well, duh, especially when she was one in the original version!
* YouDontLookLikeYou: She looks much younger, and resembles Blueberry Muffin in a costume..
!!Wicked Step-sisters
----
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: That is, until Angel Cake rectifies the story.
* CainAndAbel: Not that they are Cinderella's siblings by blood, but they are Cain, and she is Abel..
* YouDontLookLikeYou: Their appearance is now similar to Ginger Snap and Orange Blossom in costumes. Doubles as RaceLift.

!In general
* ShoutOut: These characters originated from the Literature/TheWizardOfOz series.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: These characters have gotten changes to their design.
!!Glinda the Good Witch
This character is a character who was derived from the Literature/TheWizardOfOz series. Being opposed to whatever her nasty sister, the Wicked Witch of the West, is doing, Glinda makes her lair in the famous Emerald City. She appears in both segments of "Berry Brick Road", the first of which gives her a minor role, and in the latter of which she has an impact on the plot.
----
* BigGood: She and the Wizard of Oz serve as this.
* CainAndAbel: Being a kind person, Glinda would be quite easy to pick to represent Abel. (The Wicked Witch is Cain.)
* CuteWitch: A variant. She is quite pretty for a witch.
* TheGoodKing: Inverted by gender. She has the right personality traits, being wise, benevolent, and fair, but is female. Doubles as a direct inversion to the GodSaveUsFromTheQueen trope.
* PrincessesRule: Implied. There is no sign of a king or queen, and it's ambiguous as to whether she is a princess or an actual queen.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: In the "Toto's Tale" segment, she reveals that Strawberry Shortcake just needs to tap-dance in the magic slippers that she got.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: She looks more like Plum Puddin' dressed like a queen or princess.
!!The Wizard of Oz
This charcter is the ultimate goal for Strawberry Shortcake when she crash-lands her house in an attempt to escape the storm. He and Glinda are great friends. His powers are so great, that the heroes come to seek him to have their wishes granted. His lair is in the Emerald City.
----
* IdenticalStranger: He resembles Huckleberry Pie.
* Jumpscare: The Wizard delivers one in his introduction. Though this time, it doesn't work.
--> Wizard of Oz: "Who are you!? And what do you want with the wizard!?"
* MilesGloriosus: His true form is revealed to look just like Huckleberry Pie. That said he MIGHT be a wizard...
* YouDontLookLikeYou: He now resembles Huckleberry Pie, and his voice is higher-pitched to match.
!!The Scarecrow
This character is first seen when Strawberry Shortcake passes by a farm on her way to the Emerald City. He wants an actual brain because he feels that his straw brain doesn't allow him to hold his memory properly. Played by Ginger Snap in Berry Brick Road.
----
* BrainyBrunette: Despite his straw brain, this guy has smarts that you should not laugh at. He was behind the idea that the Tin Woodsman reflects a spell by jumping in front of it! It helps that Ginger Snap is a part of his character. (She is one herself, after all.)
* ForgetfulJones: The Scarecrow's FreudianExcuse for his quest to get a real brain instead of a straw one.
* InTouchWithHisFeminineSide: Due to being infused with Ginger Snap's character, the Scarecrow has pigtails coming from his head. Said pigtails are longer, however, going down to his waist.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: The Scarecrow now looks like Ginger Snap does, though he has longer pigtails. His dungaree is now replaced with the jacket and jeans that she usually wears.
!!The Tin Woodsman/Nick Chopper
This character is first seen when Strawberry Shortcake walks by the forest that he was working at. Due to his rusty joints, Nick was immobilised, but Strawberry Shortcake used an oiling can that she and Pupcake found to lubricate the Tin Woodsman's joints and allow him to move again. Played by Angel Cake in Berry Brick Road.
----
* AdaptationalJerkass: Since Peppermint Fizz makes part of his character (She herself can be a jerk.), he has more jerkass moments, such as reacting in a WhatTheHellHero manner when the Scarecrow reveals his desire for a brain.
* AndIMustScream: Being adapted into a kid-friendly show didn't save him from this. Fortunately, Strawberry Shortcake ends the condition by lubricating his joints.
* AttackReflector: Courtesy of the Scarecrow's plan, the Wicked Witch of the West gets hit by her own spell when the Tin Woodsman bounces it back with his own chest as she attacks the group.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: He evolves into this.
* WhatTheHellHero: Downplayed, but Nick is quite miffed when the Scarecrow reveals his desire to get his straw brain replaced with a real one.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: His face was torn off and replaced with something like Peppermint Fizz's face.
!!The Cowardly Lion
This character is first seen after Nick Chopper joins the gang. Though he is a lion, this character does not have much courage. Fortunately, Strawberry Shortcake is certain that some courage exists within his own heart, even after she sees his own tail scaring him. Played by Orange Blossom in Berry Brick Road.
----
* AbsurdPhobia: The scene where he is introduced shows his own tail scaring him out of his wits.
* BeastWithAHumanFace: His face resembles Orange Blossom's.
* CowardlyLion: He can be brave when prompted to. He is, after all, the TropeNamer.
* InTouchWithHisFeminineSide: He has a hair bow.
* OhCrap: His reaction to spotting the Wicked Witch heading in the group's direction.
* TheParanoiac: At first. He had a tough time getting over it, but eventually did.
* TalkingAnimal: Just like the original.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: Aside from being bipedal like his counterpart from the film version of the Oz series., he now has a hair bow and the face of an African Anerican person with braids surrounding his face.
!!The Berrykins
These guys are human-looking dwarves that can be found throughout Oz. They are rather plump, although this does not hinder their movement. Three of them are forced to work for the Wicked Witch of the West and are freed after Strawberry Shortcake accidentally launches her into a dungeon. Apparently, the Berrykins were using "Gem-berries" for their civilisation, but got careless and started taking them for granted, which ended up endangering the Gem-berries.
----
* AdaptationNameChange: Their original species name was "Munchkin".
* FatAndSkinny: Their typical member is the "fat". Unless the Tin WoodsmanNick Chopper was retconned to not be part of their race, he would be the "skinny", though he is taller than their average member.
* Lilliputians: Downplayed. They are smaller than your typical human, but are still a foot tall. Given that his original counterpart was part of their race, the Tin Woodsman may be their tallest member, about the size of a human kid.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: They are now smaller, and their bodies (except the Tin Woodsman's) are plumper.
!!The Wicked Witch of the West
Aka Gladys, the Wicked Witch of the West serves as the BigBad for the "Berry Brick Road" arc, which is based on her home series, the Literature/TheWizardOfOz series. She has a pair of magic slippers that Strawberry Shortcake unwittingly steals from her after she crashes her house nearby. At this, the Wicked Witch of the West tries to get the slippers that she lost, using sneakers as a makeshift replacement until then. She is also responsible for endangering the Gem-Berries, destroying a lot of them, which Strawberry Shortcake tries to prevent when she discovers this.
----
* BadBoss: She makes her debut appearance treating three poor Berrykins badly.
* CainAndAbel: The Wicked Witch is portrayed as Cain, while Glinda has the role of Abel.
* DisintegratorRay: The Wicked Witch fired lasers from her wand that have a similar effect to destroy the Gem-Berries.
* DisneyDeath: See TakenForGranite and UnexplainedRecovery, below.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: See TakenForGranite, below.
* IdiotBall: The Witch is too busy bossing around the three Berrykins to notice that she is about to get smashed... until Strawberry Shortcake comes too close and smashes the house she was flying in nearby. The Witch notices too late and manages to jump clear of the area in which she would become SquashedFlat, but due to being too slow gets thrown into the dungeon by the blast from the impact generated by Strawberry Shortcake's abode.
* LaserGuidedKarma: The Witch was a BadBoss to three Berrykins. She almost gets flattened by Strawberry Shortcake's house and loses the Magic Slippers, which Strawberry Shortcake is pressured into stealing by those same Berrykins.
* OhCrap: Her reaction when the Tin Woodsman bounces her spell back in her direction with his own body.
* TakenForGranite: She tries to do this to the heroes but suffers this herself when Nick Chopper the Tin Woodsman turns his body into an AttackReflector as per the Scarecrow's plan.
* UnexplainedRecovery: How DID the Witch escape her petrification in the "Toto's Tale" segment.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: Her hair is now purple and she has fair skin, a grape motif, and Sour Grapes' facial features, ThinChinOfSin included.

!In general
* ShoutOut: These characters trace their origin to the fairy tale Literature/SleepingBeauty.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: Their designs suffered changes.
!!Princess Strawberry Rose
This character made her debut in the fairytale Literature/SleepingBeauty and appears in the Strawberry Shortcake episode of the same name. Played by Strawberry Shortcake.
----
* AdaptationNameChange: She was known in Aurora in the Disney version of WesternAnimation/SleepingBeauty. The original Literature/SleepingBeauty had never given her an actual name, instead referring her to as "Sleeping Beauty". The name she used became the name of the episode she starred in.
* Bowdlerise: Her curse when she pricks her finger, due to the target audience; instead of dying, she'll just disappear forever.
* ForcedSleep: The Brambleberry Fairy does this to her with her sopoforic brambleberries. All because she didn't get invited to see Princess Strawberry Rose's birth.Actually, she was invited, it's just that the brambleberry bushes that she planted around the house she lives in created an effective dead-zone for delivery.
* TheGoodKing: Strawberry Rose eventually becomes a gender inversion thanks to the gifts that she received. She doubles as an inversion of GodSaveUsFromTheQueen.
* PrincessesRule: Her parents are nowhere to be seen.
* TurnTheOtherCheek: She was put into a ForcedSleep by a fairy who wanted to get revenge on her. Yet she still invites that fairy to a party that she's throwing at the end of the episode. Probably justified: she probably forgot about said fairy's curse, having spent almost sixteen years before it took effect, and even if she didn't, thanks to the other fairies, she probably would've forgiven her anyway anyway.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: She was changed to like Strawberry Shortcake wearing a princess costume.
!!Prince Huckleberry
Prince Huckleberry is based on the Prince from Literature/SleepingBeauty. He was eavesdropping on the Brambleberry Fairy's plot, and was quick to bring it up to her after she suffers her VillainousBreakdown. During his lecture, Prince Huckleberry reveals that it was the Brambleberry Fairy's fault that she didn't get the invitation. She realises from listening to him that her Brambleberry bushes that she set up as an anti-robbery fence actually blocked everyone. Played by Huckleberry Pie.
----
* AdaptationNameChange: The Disney version of WesternAnimation/SleepingBeauty named him "Phillip". His name was unknown in the base story.
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: He and the Brambleberry Fairy do not fight when they meet, instead talking it out.
* BlownAcrossTheRoom: Given his stature, this guy shouldn't have been sent flying through the bushes behind his back when the Brambleberry Fairy accidentally hit him with her wings.
* GiantSpaceFleaOutOfNowhere: Prince Huckleberry is a benevolent example. His first appearance is after the Brambleberry Fairy realises that she was the one in the wrong and they collide. He wasn't mentioned anywhere, although fans did know that a prince would come later.
* WhatTheHellHero: He is quick to mention to the Brambleberry Fairy in his lecture that if you want to defend your house from robbers, putting brambleberries around your house Goes Horribly Right due to creating a delivery dead-zone. Downplayed as Prince Huckleberry neither raises his voice nor gets angry during his lecture.
!!The Berry Fairies
A group of four fairies who bestow gifts on Strawberry Rose; similar to the fairies from the original story. Consists of Gingerberry Fairy (Ginger Snap), Rainbowberry Fairy (Rainbow Sherbert), Angelberry Fairy (Angel Cake), Orangeberry Fairy (Orange Blossom) and Appleberry Fairy (Apple Dumplin') in the book adaptation. In "Sleeping Beauty", Angelberry Fairy was replaced with Tangerinaberry Fairy (Tangerine Torta).
!!The Brambleberry Fairy
This character made her only appearance, serving as the BigBad of "Sleeping Beauty". She crashed the party centered around Princess Strawberry Rose's birth because she thought that nobody invited her, so in order to take revenge, she used her magic to curse Princess Strawberry Rose. Played by Angel Cake in the episode version and Blueberry Muffin in the storybook adaptation.
----
* AdaptationalKarma: The Brambleberry Fairy gets a self-inflicted variation this time. Rather than leaving the plot or being slain by the prince, she breaks down upon realising that what happened was her fault all this time.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: She has brown skin.
* BigBad: Of "Sleeping Beauty".
* DidntThinkThisThrough: The Brambleberry Fairy put in brambleberry bushes that would surround her home to protect it from robbers. What she didn't realise was that those bushes made delivering things to her more difficult with their thorns, which on top of the fact that she has a bad tendency to ignore things is the real reason why she didn't get an invitation.
* DisproportionateRetribution: She tries to off Princess Strawberry Rose just because she wasn't invited.
* FailedASpotCheck: The Brambleberry Fairy does not even see the invitation in her brambleberry bushes even though the Page dropped it there in plain sight. Probably justified as the Brambleberry Fairy tends to not listen.
* ForcedSleep: Thanks to the Apple Fairy's meddling, the Brambleberry Fairy winds up doing this rather than what she intended.
* GoneHorriblyRight: See DidntThinkThisThrough. The Brambleberry Fairy planted brambleberry bushes to defend her house from thieves, but that also created a delivery dead-zone.
* HeelFaceTurn: She undergoes one near the end. Thanks, Prince Huckleberry.
* IgnoringBySinging: Because she is so pissed when she crashes the party, she blocks out every attempt to calm her ire with this.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: After she goes to see Princess Strawberry Rose following the winter, the Brambleberry Fairy realises that she was the one in the wrong.
* NeverMyFault: The Brambleberry Fairy blames the kingdom for not delivering her an invitation. She doesn't realise (at first) that she was the one at fault with those brambleberry bushes of hers, which created a dead-zone for delivery, as Prince Huckleberry notes in his lecture at the end.
* RevengeBeforeReason: See DisproportionateRetribution.
* UninvitedToTheParty: Subverted. She just THINKS that.

!In general
* ShoutOut: From Literature/Rapunzel
!!Rapunzel
* ActorAllusion: InUniverse, Rapunzel takes an interest in ocean navigation and sails a boat at the end of the episode, like her "actor" Rainbow Sherbert.
!! Rapunzel's Parents
* CanonForeigner: Neither have a counterpart in the Strawberry Shortcake cast.
* TheFaceless: Neither's face is shown throughout the entire episode. Both are always facing away from the camera or have their faces cut off by the frame, showing only their body from the neck down.
* FatAndSkinny: Rapunzel's father is the "fat" to her mother's "skinny".
!!Professor Grapes
* AdaptationalJobChange: In the original tale, she was a witch. Here, she's a regular professor.
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Is a far cry from the child kidnapping witch from the original tale, though she does still try to send Rapunzel to an isolated island. Grapes even goes through a HeelFaceTurn at the end after Rapunzel saves her life.
!!Maid Strawberry and Squire Huckleberry
* DecompositeCharacter: Both fulfill the role of the prince in the story, visitng Rapunzel in her tower without the Professor's knowledge.
