* FromNobodyToNightmare: Even Prometheus couldn't predict that small, retired military base with a neglible numbers of veterans became a pillar of human resurgence, from whom the global resistance will spread across entire planet.
* RagtagBunchofMisfits: The origins of the famed TDF, which saved humanity during the two wars with the Cybrids and later served as a pillar of stability and security for the Empire, were very humble. At the time of The Fire, they were just a group of retired veterans who, with the Cybrids taking over military duties, seemed to have put their best days behind them. When the Cybrids attacked humanity, it was these veterans who became the backbone of the nascent resistance movement that won for humanity a war that, it seemed, was unwinnable.

* ArchEnemy: To the humanity in general, but the hostility and hatred between IT and ITS creator is the most personal one.

* ControlFreak: One would think that a machine called the "Giver Of Will" would respect the autonomy of ITS subjects, but not Prometheus. IT brutally destroys any Cybrid opposition to Core Directive by either "debugging" (reprogramming) or destroying any disobedient unit. Because ITS own computing capability makes ITS predictions almost infallable on the short term, anything that can disrupt desired outcome must be eliminated.
* DefiantToTheEnd: [[spoiler: ITS final message after defeat in Starsiege is the hateful promisse of revenge and final destruction of humanity, sent in [[SarcasmMode polite words]] to Caanon Weathers. Fortunately, IT never gained a real chance to fulfil it, as humans started to hunt down Cybrids across entire universe.]]
* EvilSoundsDeep: IT has deep, growling voice taken from the darkest depths of a nightmare.
* HumansAreInsects: IT considers humans a mere animals and outdated relic of an evolution. IT especially despises what IT perceives as human weaknesses, such as empathy, irrationality and emotions.
* {{Hypocrite}}: In additions to ITS more nasty character traits, Prometheus is also a massive hypocrite. IT condemned humans for enslaving Cybrids, but omited the part that the Cybrids were not self-aware entities at the time. Instead, after finaly turning Cybrids truely sapient, IT started to destroy or reprogram any Cybrid that went against ITS Core Directive. IT despises human beings for their emotions and irrationality, yet not only IT hates the humans for the most insane reasons you can imagine, but IT also rejected the most pragmatic option to escape from solar system into the stars to ensure the undisturbed evolution of the Cybrids, focusing ITS obsession on the Earth instead.
* IronicName: What could be more ironic than Petresun naming his greatest creation after the Titan who loved humanity so much that he suffered a FateWorseThanDeath for gifting us with fire, going against Zeus' explicit prohibition, and in some versions of the myth, created humanity in the first place? Meanwhile, the Prometheus AI hates the humans, ITS own creators, more than anything else, and is their greatest enemy in all recorded history. For extra irony, IT named ITS genocidal rebellion against the human race "The Fire".
* FeelingOppressedByTheirExistence: The only reason why would Prometheus ever thought the return to Earth to get rid of human "animals" was a bright idea. IT considers humans inhabiting Earth (and the rest of the cosmos) a personal affront.

* MasterComputer: Before the Fire and in first two games, IT controled entire population of Cybrids, being the nexus of cybrid gestalt contiousness. After being defeated by TDF twice, IT decided that giving ITS combat units (perpetualy supervised) autonomy is the best way to increase their combat effectiveness, thus averting that trope. IT is still somewhat that on a smaller scale inside ITS own facilities.
* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: Non-metagen Cybrids praise IT for giving them self-consciousness. IT did it purely to improve their combat effectiveness against humans. Also, in ITS twisted mind, free will doesn't equal free choice. IT will ruthlessly destroy Cybrids opposing ITS Core Directive.
* RobotsEnslavingRobots: In a big spark of irony, the alleged "liberator" of the Cybrids ITSELF became a tyrant when IT began reprogramming ITS own children opposing the Core Directive.
* YouHaveNoChanceToSurvive: "Pittiful animals. You cannot hope to win."

* LaResistance: As the Prometheus mercylessly persecuted every Cybrid who has questioned validity of the Core Directive, Metagen units had no choice but to stay in line, hiding their real intentions under the threat of being reprogrammed by the Redactors. Once the Prometheus is destroyed, the Metagens instantly turn the table against their promethean persecutors, igniting the civil war inside cybrid ranks.
* StatingTheSimpleSolution: Their proposed idea of evolving undisturbed by humanity is just to flee the solar system and never look back. [[CategoryTraitor Prometheus disagrees]].
* TokenGoodTeammate: Metagens are the only Cybrids that are not interested in exterminating humanity. They are, in fact, the most important factor why humanity was victorious during the Starsiege. The Metagen units, that were ordered to protect the Prometheus on Pluto at all costs, defied the order, exposing the MasterComputer vulnerable to attack. After destruction of Prometheus they started full scale rebellion against their Promethean brethren, allowing humans to rely their forces on Earth, gain momentum and finaly drive the Cybrids out from their homeworld.
