Ghostly infected that can go through walls, turn invisible, cause illusions and possess living creatures or objects-- they are identified by being accompanied by blue flames and having eerie purple eyes. They lack the ability to spread the black blood or even physically harm their prey (since you know, they're incorporeal entities), but they are dangerous enough to be a threat due to their mind games and effective magical arsenal.

Added DiffLines:

Soldiers who succumbed to the black blood and undead hordes. They retain their former memory of weapons usage and military training, making them more effective for killing instead of trying to infect people with the black blood.

* BalefulPolymorph

Added DiffLines:

* AnimalMotifs: Horses.
* BattleAura: It's a transparant water horse, too.
* BodyHorror: The description above.
* DeflectorShield: It can be argued that weaker attacks can't pierce through the water aura.

* MeaningfulName: Exequia (Funeral in latin) + eques (horse or knight in latin)

Added DiffLines:

Infected with a disproportionately large glass and flesh hourglass shaped body filled with black blood. Should prey come closer, they will entrap them in a lunar barrier and explode upon capturing them, killing itself in the process.

* ActionBomb: They exist only to serve as a sort of anti-survivor grenade, but that's not all they can do.
* AndIMustScream: ''Holy crap.''
* BodyHorror: Their body (and insides) have been reformed into the shape of an hourglass ([[FridgeLogic with actual glass, no less-- how does that work?]]) and they house the black blood in the transparant glass surface for everyone to see. [[AndIMustScream Imagine how they must feel.]]

* GiantMook: Second only to the Behemoth, the Lataevi are some of the tallest of the zombie types.
* HourglassFigure: ''Literally.''
* MeaningfulName: Lata (wide in latin) + Aevus (time in latin), and considering Time is a branch of Luna magic...
* TakingYouWithMe: It attempts to capture nearby survivors and explodes on contact, spilling the black blood (and glass) all over the place and essentially sealing their fate. It's still dangerous to immune people because of the acidic nature of the black blood and the shards of glass getting thrown everywhere.

Added DiffLines:

Children that got infected by the black blood. Their bodies have malformed into eerie doll-shaped forms and are identified by their pertutually grinning mouths and empty eye sockets. They can also manipulate people via the Luna technique, Dead Man's Dance.

* AdultFear
* AndIMustScream: They're children (probably not even 12 years old) that have been infected with the black blood who lose their eyes and ''[[StepfordSmiler are always smiling,]]'' even though it's obvious they're under a hell of a lot of pain.

Added DiffLines:

Heavily infected people who have grown stronger and larger as a result of the black blood. They possess immense strength and speed, and can be identified by their towering size, slender shapes ([[BandageBabe in the case of females]] -- the guys are rather bulky) and bandage covered bodies.

* AmazonianBeauty: Female Behemoths are ridiculously tall and like the [[CuteMonsterGirl other female Nachzehrer zombies]], (with the exclusion of [[StringyHairedGhostGirl Espers]], [[FanDisservice Revenants]], [[BodyHorror Wailers]] and [[NightmareFuelStationAttendant Maranettes]]) is actually sort of attractive.

* MadeOfIron: But of course.

* SirensAreMermaids
* TeamSpirit: Occasionally, [[FridgeBrilliance Sirens and Aviarias]] come together to sing duets. [[ShmuckBait Poor, poor survivors.]]

Added DiffLines:

Infected women whose heads detach themselves from their bodies due to the amount of black blood that builds up in their neck, and much like their Siren counterparts, have a comely appearance. They are skilled with swordplay and are usually accompanied by Exeques. They can be identified by their long black hair, turquoise nails and often wear black.

* AlwaysFemale: For some odd reason.
* {{Badass}}: I mean, come on. It's not enough that they're based off of Celty ''and'' Miku (especially since Miku has gotten an AdrenalineMakeover in the LegendOfTheRisingStar, also made by the same author), but as far as the Dullahans go in the story, they're easily the honorable out of all the zombie classes and ride Exeques (a deadly combo, for sure) for a living.
* BodyHorror: The black blood building up in their neck to the point of decapitation sounds [[{{Understatement}} less than pleasant.]]
* CoolHorse: That happens to be one of the other zombie types.

* TheCorruption / TheVirus: Anyone bit by / infected with the black blood of a Nachzehrer will go through a three-stage transformation called RANTHEDIS before eventually becoming one themselves:
** A zombie phase - A slow, plodding George Romero-like zombie that is indistinguishable from the standard brought-back-from-the-dead deal as oftenly seen on Xephixir except for their ability to infect people with the RANTHEDIS disease. However, as time goes on, they become smarter and stronger but are still the easiest phase to dispose of. [[OhCrap This is before the vampirification kicks in, though.]]
** A cuccoon phase - After several days pass, the zombies spontaneously seal themselves inside of cucoons made of special Anthodia silk that are immune to all conventional and magical attacks. They also create the cuccoons in dark areas so the sun wouldn't instantly disintegrate them in their next form.
** The vampire phase - Once they break out of their cuccoons, they are reborn as demonic bloodsuckers who have a vulnerability to the sun and light magic. The hardest phase to defeat so far due to their incredible speed and strength, but at the same time, they lose their intelligence from before, becoming nothing more than instinctual hunters
* TheImmune: The Abyss Knights' Valiant Crystals are engineered to protect them from being infected by the RANTHEDIS virus. Also, monsters from both Families (Lunardream and Deathmoon alike) are unable to become Nachzehrer.

This is a page entirely for Nachzehrer, which are recognized as TheHeartless for StarlitHeroics, as they are an incredibly powerful species of vampiric monsters that even outrank the Deathmoon Family's creatures. They live behind eye-shaped barriers called Hotashem (Xephixerean for "All-Seeing Eye"), the inside of which have altered pocket dimensions that represent the shattered personalities of the Nachzehrer, and are aided by Shiminuki (Japanese for Eliminator) and Sabanto (Japanese for Servant), both of them being a specific class of minion. Nachzehrer have crystals called Emptiness Shards which serve as their life force; however, they are volatile to the touch, and if are not destroyed in an amount of time, the defeated monster will reconstitute.
There is also a deadly disease related to these beings called RANTHEDIS, which if it infects someone, they will turn into a Nachzehrer in four days, depending on how bad they got it.
They serve as the antithesis to the Abyss Knights, a group specialized in fighting and neutralizing these creatures from the planet.

[[spoiler: In reality, they are Abyss Knights who have been consumed by their Valiant Crystal, in one way or another, revealing the stone's true identity as an Emptiness Shard and letting the corruption sink in.]]
