* AdaptiveAbility: As long as they understand the methods used to defeat them, they can adapt to them. The Asgard learned the hard way that no technology they could invent could stop the Replicators, as they already understood Asgard technology from prior encounters and quickly countered every attempt.

* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: They were initially a metallic purple color and could reconstruct themselves after being shot. Later appearances made them gray and dropped the reconstruction. This is initially handwaved as those particular Replicators benefitting from the advanced materials in Asgard vessels, whereas most subsequent Replicators have to work with inferior tech, but the design uniformity persists regardless of what they ise as material.

* [[GreyGoo Grey Blocks]]: They exist purely to consume advanced technology and materials in order to make more of themselves. A batch of Replicators left on a time-accelerated planet for hundreds of years consumed everything on the surface and had completely replaced the outer crust, implicitly for miles down.

* ZergRush: The only combat tactic they ever use is spamming vast numbers of combat forms at the enemy. Thanks to their energy weapon resistance Tau'ri [[MoreDakka Dakka]] is about the only counter there is.

* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: They were originally designed as toys, but almost as soon as they were given the ability to multiply and defend themselves, they stopped following any orders beyond those two directives.

* BishonenLine: The human-form replicators demonstrate more intelligence and coordinate the others.

* BishonenLine: The human-form replicators demonstrate more intelligence and coordinate the others. Because they are made of nanite cells, they are also much harder to conventionally kill.

* MoralMyopia: When she was still a small child, trying to convert Vala to the Ori, without success, she asks "What have the Ancients done to gain your trust?" The problem is, the Ancients didn't have to do ''anything''. The Ori have bent over backwards to alienate Vala by that point and continue to antagonize her with acts of overt villainy. Adria knows all of them, but sees them as A-Ok.
** When Vala and Daniel had their consciousness appear in the Ori controlled galaxy by accident, the nearest Prior ''sets them both on fire'' and resurrects them at the Ori's command for interrogation, after which they repeatedly launch small-scale attacks on the Milky way galaxy to try building a beach-head, and forcefully convert followers.

** She witnessed Priors twisting the teachings of the Book of Origin to carry out their purpose, sometimes even outright lying, without punishment, despite the fact that the Ori are actively watching everything the Priors do ''through their own eyes and ears'' and it's seen with a Ja'fa turned Prior that the instant a Prior does something the Ori don't like, the Prior in question literally goes up in flames.

* MagicStaff: Each of the Priors carries carries a wooden staff topped with a blue crystal that allows them to do things like resurrecting the dead, which appear as holy miracles to Ori followers. They also allow the Doci to communicate with all the other Priors.

* TheTheocracy: The Ori set up one of these in their home galaxy with themelves on top (obviously) as the divine supreme ruling authority with the Doci as their mouthpiece and head of their religion, Origin, with the many Priors under him. Adria would assume the place of the Ori after her ascension following the latter's demise. And the Ori and later Adria were hellbent on establishing their rule over the Milky Way and indeed the rest of the universe.

* {{Jerkass}}: Kinsey never say anything positive or kind to anyone. Anything that comes out of his mouth is either insults, reprimands or [[ItsAllAboutMe boasting of his massive ego]].
* JerkassHasAPoint: He learned about the Stargate Program by noticing there was a huge amount of money going to this black-ops project in the Air Force, and when he gets the full details he thinks it's dangerous and wants it shut down. Practically any senator would probably react at least somewhat similarly (though probably not going to Kinsey's extremes), since it's their job to make sure wasteful spending isn't happening and to ensure the welfare of their constituents, and alien invasions aren't exactly good for anyone.

* LaserGuidedKarma: Every crime that he did eventually came back to haunt him when Anubis came to Earth, culminating in the President, after having read incriminating evidence against Kinsey, deciding to force him into "early retirement" from being the Vice President, and also implies that if he didn't, he would have done far worse to him as he "had enough evidence as to have [Kinsey] shot." [[spoiler:He was even taken as a Goa'uld host, after all those years of saying the snakes were no real threat to earth.]]

* TheQuisling: In the spirit of the original Quisling of Norway, he's absolutely convinced himself that shutting down the stargate program, and completely surrendering to the Goa'uld will convince them that Earth is not a threat. To maintain this belief, in the light of irrefutable and insurmountable evidence to the contrary beyond any standard of doubt, he twists logic and reason into a more and more convoluted GordianKnot on each appearance, even going so far as to try and discredit Thor, of the Asgard, Earth's most prominent and powerful alien ally.
* ResignedInDisgrace: Finally ends up facing the music for his shady dealings throughout the series when Richard Woolsey reveals his corruption to President Hayes. Following a botched attempt to take over Stargate Command, Kinsey is forced to resign - and Hayes makes it abundantly clear that he could end up being executed for treason.

Added DiffLines:

* TheDreaded:
** As ascended beings, the Ori are feared even by the Ancients, who are willing to bend their rules to give humanity a chance of stopping the Ori. They admit that if war broke out between them, the Ancients might not be able to defeat the Ori.
** The Ori Priors quickly become the most feared enemies SGC encounters. With no way of harming them for most of season 9, SGC's only advice if someone is visited by a Prior is to run.

Added DiffLines:

* InvincibleVillain: Followers of the Ori are granted power by ascended beings. For most of season 9, SGC is powerless whenever they encounter a Prior, and even when they find a way to DePower them, they are still powerless against the fleets of Ori warships.

Added DiffLines:

* AffablyEvil: He is polite and courteous, doesn't like violence, and truly loves Vala. Sadly, he truly believes that converting the galaxy to following Origin is the best course of action. However, he has a HeelRealization when he sees a Prior attempt to destroy a village that has already surrendered in an attempt to kill SG-1.

Added DiffLines:

* EvenEvilHasStandards: Tomin is a true believer in the Ori crusade to convert the galaxy, even though he doesn't like violence. Recap/StargateSG1S10E12LineInTheSand shows that he draws the line at killing people who have already surrendered. This leads to him making a HeelFaceTurn by Ark of Truth.

Added DiffLines:

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Despite her antagonism towards Vala, Adria genuinely loves her mother and wishes to convert without violence. This does not stop her from harming or potentially killing Vala if she stands in her way.
