* InspectorJavert: Tarkin took on this role in the season 5 finale arc, doing everything in his power to make sure Ahsoka is convicted of her supposed crimes, despite some obvious and suspicious coincidences pointing to a {{Frameup}}.

Gregor on the other hand JumpedAtTheCall and did everything in his power to assure the success of Gascon's mission.

At evening he found out that the husband of Suu, the woman who took him in, is a deserter clone called Cut Lawquane. After he got to know Cut and his family, and fought side-by-side with him, Suu asked him, whether he was going to turn Cut in for deserting the army. Rex answered that he had no choise in the matter, but then reminded them that "in his condition", he wouldn't be able remember the meeting.

* BaldOfAwesome: He seems to dye his hair blonde, making his shorter hairdo look "bald." He's no less awesome, however.

* AscendedExtra: He appeared in ''ANewHope'' in the scene where Tarkin has a meeting with the admirals on the Death Star (he's the one in a white uniform).

* OutOfCharacterAlert: Deliberately used it in TheMovie, when Ventress tried to use a JediMindtrick to make him contact Anakin. He not only resisted the mind trick, but fooled Ventress by seemingly complying. This way he was able to warn Anakin by calling him on his firstname -which is something Rex wouldn't do for any other reason, since Anakin is his superior officer.

** In "The Deserter" he met Cut Lawquane a clone deserter, and despite disagreeing with him, Rex has come to accept his view on matters.
** It's even more apparent in the Umbara-arc, when Anakin's replaced by Krell. While Rex disagreed with Krell's orders he still went through with them, and didn't do anything to stop the execution of Fives and Jesse, until the troopers defied to do it.

* TheyCallMeMisterTibbs: After refusing to execute Fives and Jesse, Krell called Rex a "clone", to which he responded with "It's Captain, Sir."
